The Early Signs Are Red!

The Early Signs Are Red!

Leeds were superb in the first half. They kept us in check, they kept their positioning and we looked clueless for much of the game. My heart almost sank when they scored their first, we had dropped 3 points against Brighton before the international break and it looked like we will drop points again. But, the substitutions fixed it. Calafiori’s goal wasn’t very mesmerizing but Mikel sensed a win after that goal, brought in Gyokeres, Timber and Guimaraes and it paid off. Gyokeres was much better than Havertz in pressing and creating some unrest in the Leeds half, Timber is certainly better than White and Guimaraes scored a beautiful goal to put us forward. Bukayo Saka did miss a 1v1 against the Leeds goalkeeper in the last few seconds of the game but hey, we walked out with 3 points.

In out title winning last season, there were 5 games where we finished the game with at least one point after trailing. There were 3 draws and 2 wins. This season, we have already done this twice (against Chelsea and Leeds) in 6 games and we have won both game ultimately. That’s a sign of confidence, that’s also a sign of a good bench because when you need players who can make changes, you look towards your bench and they deliver. Bruno G has been a great addition as well. This is brilliant because going down 1-0 in the 15th minute doesn’t mean the game is over for us anymore.

Coming back the progress so far, we are sitting on 2nd place with 15 points behind City. We wanted those YNWA cunts to win a game for once, and they fucked it.

We are just 6 games into the season, there’s not much to deduce from this as of now. We would need few more games to comment and go berserk.

Champions League hasn’t picked up the pace yet. We have won the only game we played so far, there’s 2 more games this month and one of them is against Bayern. It would be exciting few days. We have a 4th round Carabao Cup match against Fleetwood later in the month. There’s a long way to go before we would have the trophy in sight.

I missed talking about the 115 charges of Man City. They have been found guilty of all the charges, but I don’t think Premier League has the guts to punish them. You and I both know a 100m GBP fine will be a slap on the wrist and a transfer ban is something that they can live with. And, there is no chance Premier League will tarnish its credibility by taking away the titles City has won over the years. If you ask me, they should be demoted so down the league, you could spot Erling Haaland playing in the park behind NHS building in East Ham against the 14 years old, while taking instructions in Bengali. Fucking cheats, ruining the images of the best league in the world.

In the other part of world, Mourinho is not able to discipline Vinicious Jr. I have zero confidence Mikel could have done better, because if anyone has bigger ego than Mikel, it’s Mou. I was excited for that Brazilian but looks like that was a good miss for us. It would have caused chaos in an otherwise gentlemen dressing room.

Mikel got his new 4 years contract. That was expected after the title win in 23 years. We can all stop whining now, he is not going anywhere and he has a trophy to show. However, that doesn’t mean he will not get his fair share of criticism. He might have a Premier League trophy, but there’s Champions League left. And then we would go for the treble.

Right, that’s me done. Life’s been busy lately with work, kid, family, but I will keep trying my best. This place is open as always, and I am going to try to bring in some more people in comments section through X/Twitter and Reddit.

See you in the comments.

KP – A sad day in Wales tomorrow.

    Aberfan? Yeah, I agree.

Sadly mankind still stores huge volumes of mine waste even though it has a value. Miners have no vision.

“Telegraph Sport understands that several experienced and influential figures have already left Arsenal, or will be leaving in the coming months, in addition to the process that has put 60 jobs at risk. There is significant change and instability within many departments, which contrasts sharply and uncomfortably with the settled nature of the men’s first team under Arteta.”

If only some people had called out Arteta’s profligate spending.

Oh hang on some of us did.

I deal with a couple of chaps in South Africa – they both work for the same company – one supports Man U and the other Arsenal. The Arsenal supporter loves the fact that El B has signed his new contract and will be around for years but in his next breath he muttered what a bore fest he watched on Sunday.

An interesting couple of games this evening – the early kick off FAB 4’s team Como takes on the not so mighty Man U before ‘Arry tries to do his usual and score against us.

It wasn’t just Sunday – 90% of 95% of our matches are worse than watching paint dry. Arteta’s been getting away with it this season so far – last season set pieces / corners were coming to the rescue so far its been flukes this season but you’ll only get so far on luck.

Its great for our house renovation program – I must prefer to watch a newly painted room than the dross served up by El B.

If Havertz is so fucking good why are people constantly trying to sell us on this notion…correct me if I’m wrong but I can’t remember a single other “great” player who required the same sort of coddling in the press…so either he’s fragile as fuck or, like Xhaka, he’s privy to some fucked up info that makes him seemingly untouchable…now when he was at Bayer he definitely had a serious upward trajectory, but he’s not even half the player he once was, at least not from an offensive standpoint…instead of blowing smoke up our ass maybe these same wackjob apologists should explain how a player actually gets worse over time (and not because of age)…it’s really quite baffling

Its not about Havertz its about Arteta. A serious honest conversation about Havertz automatically leads to questions about Arteta’s “decision making” (I use the term loosely).

The fan boys won’t allow any criticism of Arteta its like a fucking religion with them.

    Cesc’s battering ManU

Paz is the midfielder we should have bought in the summer

no Olise, Diaz or Musiala(injured of course)…we should win this one in MA’s typically boring fashion

  12. The Real Vieira Lynn

it is interesting that Kompany is playing Davies further forward…Timber is going to have to respect that fact

  13. The Real Vieira Lynn

we’re quite fortunate that was Gnabry and not Olise

good finish by Eze…he should give Arteta the finger everytime he pots one

don’t fall asleep with the paciest Canadian footballer ever on the pitch

  15. The Real Vieira Lynn

stellar Keeping on both sides…Saibari is as useless as Havertz

if Kane wasn’t sitting deeper at times we would overrun their midfield with relative ease

  16. The Real Vieira Lynn

minus one nice defensive play Havertz was his usual invisible useless self

we should not be losing to their “B” side (up front that is)

  17. Kroenkephobe

Well, it’s taken 10 games, and it wasn’t a win, but FINALLY we put in a shift and play some decent football. Good result I think.

  18. The Real Vieira Lynn

Rice saved our blushes considering their lineup…mind you we did lose Saka early on…decent watch simply because it was more open than usual

“Rice saved our blushes considering their lineup”

Typical ignorant take by someone who doesn’t quite understand the game..
We had what is probably the best centre back in Europe out , with Saka injured early we also had our first choice wide men out , so it probably evens itself out.
What I would say is the performance tonight was superb, there were no “blushes “ to be saved as it was a game that could have swung either way in a very entertaining game.
What it shows is that when we are playing against a side that doesn’t park the bus then we are more than capable of playing good football and matching any side in Europe.
No doubt Everton at the weekend will be parking the bus so it may be back to playing patient football..

  20. The Real Vieira Lynn

they were only missing one of the most vaunted players in the footballing universe, Olise, and someone who just scored a treble on the weekend (came in late only to be subbed off in 10)…not to mention the only guy with a proper settling influence in their midfield, Kimmich, was out due to the death of his father, which is why Kane was positioned so deep so often…I won’t even bring up the injured Musiala, as that would be a weasel move…live and learn you know-nothing apologist bitch
