Leeds were superb in the first half. They kept us in check, they kept their positioning and we looked clueless for much of the game. My heart almost sank when they scored their first, we had dropped 3 points against Brighton before the international break and it looked like we will drop points again. But, the substitutions fixed it. Calafiori’s goal wasn’t very mesmerizing but Mikel sensed a win after that goal, brought in Gyokeres, Timber and Guimaraes and it paid off. Gyokeres was much better than Havertz in pressing and creating some unrest in the Leeds half, Timber is certainly better than White and Guimaraes scored a beautiful goal to put us forward. Bukayo Saka did miss a 1v1 against the Leeds goalkeeper in the last few seconds of the game but hey, we walked out with 3 points.
In out title winning last season, there were 5 games where we finished the game with at least one point after trailing. There were 3 draws and 2 wins. This season, we have already done this twice (against Chelsea and Leeds) in 6 games and we have won both game ultimately. That’s a sign of confidence, that’s also a sign of a good bench because when you need players who can make changes, you look towards your bench and they deliver. Bruno G has been a great addition as well. This is brilliant because going down 1-0 in the 15th minute doesn’t mean the game is over for us anymore.
Coming back the progress so far, we are sitting on 2nd place with 15 points behind City. We wanted those YNWA cunts to win a game for once, and they fucked it.

We are just 6 games into the season, there’s not much to deduce from this as of now. We would need few more games to comment and go berserk.
Champions League hasn’t picked up the pace yet. We have won the only game we played so far, there’s 2 more games this month and one of them is against Bayern. It would be exciting few days. We have a 4th round Carabao Cup match against Fleetwood later in the month. There’s a long way to go before we would have the trophy in sight.
I missed talking about the 115 charges of Man City. They have been found guilty of all the charges, but I don’t think Premier League has the guts to punish them. You and I both know a 100m GBP fine will be a slap on the wrist and a transfer ban is something that they can live with. And, there is no chance Premier League will tarnish its credibility by taking away the titles City has won over the years. If you ask me, they should be demoted so down the league, you could spot Erling Haaland playing in the park behind NHS building in East Ham against the 14 years old, while taking instructions in Bengali. Fucking cheats, ruining the images of the best league in the world.
In the other part of world, Mourinho is not able to discipline Vinicious Jr. I have zero confidence Mikel could have done better, because if anyone has bigger ego than Mikel, it’s Mou. I was excited for that Brazilian but looks like that was a good miss for us. It would have caused chaos in an otherwise gentlemen dressing room.
Mikel got his new 4 years contract. That was expected after the title win in 23 years. We can all stop whining now, he is not going anywhere and he has a trophy to show. However, that doesn’t mean he will not get his fair share of criticism. He might have a Premier League trophy, but there’s Champions League left. And then we would go for the treble.
Right, that’s me done. Life’s been busy lately with work, kid, family, but I will keep trying my best. This place is open as always, and I am going to try to bring in some more people in comments section through X/Twitter and Reddit.
See you in the comments.

As I said it evens itself out , you just can’t stand the fact that Arteta’s Arsenal went to Bayern and at the very least matched them , no doubt you were hoping and expecting the team you support to get hammered like just about every other team that travels to Germany.
Tactically Arteta was spot on , yes Raya did go long in the first half hour and it had the desired effect of easing the high press from Bayern which in turn gave us more room to play as the game progressed..
At present we are not getting a lot of luck in front of goal from dead ball situations but I have no doubt that will change, though I’m not sure we need them as the quality of our goals from open play are there for all to see.
2 excellent assists from Odegaard and Gyokeres last night with a couple of great finishes was a good reward for a very accomplished performance against an elite side with a sensational home record..
What has happened since our defeat to Brighton is that we have had to rebuild our early season confidence, we had 3 unconvincing wins prior to last night’s draw but that performance will give the players belief again and I do expect the hand brake to come off in the next couple of games and then it will be a trip to Anfield, which is not a great hunting ground but this season could be different.
you delusional fuck, I actually felt that we should have dominated this particular Bayern side that was short in both their midfield and in attack…you would know that if you had actually read my posts and not just looked for something that would trigger your usual rinse and repeat nonsense…we were quite fortunate that Bayern didn’t lean more into Davies playing in a more advanced position, as he was torching us on the left…not to mention the fact that both Gnabry and Saibari butchered their grade A opportunities…I very much doubt that would have been the case if those very same opportunities were given to Diaz and/or Olise…we might have had the same amount of shots on target but they had a considerably higher xG (2.51 to 1.4)…please don’t forget that I’m the adult in the room, which has nothing to do with age
Under Wenger we played one and 2 touch football especially through midfield and in the final third of the pitch, what this does is speed up the play making it difficult for the opposition defence to get set, to play one and 2 touch football well you need good technique and the willingness to to take risks and be brave on the ball.
Under Arteta one and 2 touch football is not part of his remit as it involves an element of risk, however last night both our goals came from one an 2 touch football , Odegaard had one touch and then hit a superb ball over the top for Eze to put away with a one touch finish.
Our 2nd goal was a perfect example of one touch football which involved Rice , Madueke and Gyokeres, of course movement off the ball is also the key to making it work.
I was watching Cesc Fabregas Como side hammer united yesterday and they gave a superb exhibition of one and 2 touch pass and move football all over the pitch to destroy United.
I doubt that Arteta will ever give his players the freedom to express themselves similar to the way Fabregas encourages his players to take risks on the ball ..
This will probably always be a sticking point for Arteta as I believe risk taking is against his footballing principles , though we can always hope hope that the 2 excellent goals last night is a sign of things to come..

Using phrases like “know nothing apologist bitch “ and delusional fuck “ in all honesty doesn’t give the impression of you being the “adult in the room”..
I knew you wouldn’t get the underlying nuance of that statement you blunt instrument fucktard…tighten up that helmet little guy

Why on earth would you think that Arteta will ever embrace attractive football?
He’s been here coming up 7 years and his football has always been mind-numbingly dull.
As someone I used to work with was fond of saying “Leopards and spots”.

“ Why on earth would you think that Arteta will ever embrace attractive football?”
I don’t, hence why I said “ I doubt that Arteta will ever give his players the freedom to express themselves similar to the way Fabregas encourages his players to take risks on the ball”.
What I do think is that Arteta has done a superb job in making Arsenal the best team in the country and a top 4/5 club in Europe.
What Arteta does embrace is effective winning football that will bring trophies and maybe even the champions league, we were one kick away from winning it last season so it is not some pipe dream.
For me our game changers are Eze and Dowman but I am not so sure that Arteta sees it that way or will ever fully trust them, the fear is that Dowman will go the same way as Nwaneri but the injury to Saka should open the door for Dowman to lay down a marker in the run up to Christmas, let’s hope he takes his chance.
Havertz form has stalled so I do also expect Gyokeres and merino to get some starts , we are in the process of a tough run of 5 away games out of 6 so we can’t afford to have anymore long term injuries, Everton at home then Fleetwood, Liverpool and Prague away is doable with or without our first choice wide players or Saliba.
Fabregas will soon become the most sort after manager in the world, he will have a choice of any club he wishes, he models his style of football on Wenger, personally I’d love him at Arsenal but the timing is probably wrong what with Arteta signing a new contract, so he won’t be going anywhere soon which is a pity.
Asked about the debate surrounding their playing style, Arteta said: “I don’t have that impression because I heard that the style was incredible”.
now that’s some delusional Trumpian shit!!!
TRVL
That’s way beyond Trump.

Arsenal v Liverpool on the big match revisited’ this morning. The one where Jimmy Hill comes on and runs the line. 1972 I’d say. Your mate Alan Ball calling the shots in midfield alongside GG and Storey. Pitch looks decent so it must be late summer. 0-0, 30 minutes to go.
That ‘goal’ whoreland just scored…referees needs to ask themselves how he managed to climb three feet above the defender.
The answer? It’s because he had his hands on the defender’s shoulders meaning he could rise so high and keep the defender rooted to the ground. I don’t understand why they don’t see this and penalise the attackers. Kane is an arch exponent scoring many goals against us doing it in the past. Insane.
A slightly weaker Arsenal team than I’d expected. Little Cunty Balls’s head has obviously been infiltrated by media slags saying how strong Arsenal’s squad is. Big chance for Gyok to prove himself today.
Villa still doing some impressive cheat-beating and Arsenal women ahead in the NLD at Spuds stadium in front of about 300 spuds and 2000 gooners.
Good result for Villa.
Emery’s a capable coach – if Captain Cunt had lost the players Emery did in the summer it’d take him 5 years to rebuild the squad.
You’ll probably all say ‘big deal!’ but city losing means another season where no one is invincible.
Set piece again…(Olé, Olé)
back to the grind, so to speak
I will say this, we seem to play a more open style when Saka and Havertz are off the pitch…I get the latter, but the former is baffling
Eze has had a couple of marvellous touches in this game. Bergkamp-esque.
El Coño picks up a booking. What a wanker.
Gyok’s hold-up play terrific today.
Tarkowski is a cynical motherfucker.
Here comes Dowman.
