Leeds were superb in the first half. They kept us in check, they kept their positioning and we looked clueless for much of the game. My heart almost sank when they scored their first, we had dropped 3 points against Brighton before the international break and it looked like we will drop points again. But, the substitutions fixed it. Calafiori’s goal wasn’t very mesmerizing but Mikel sensed a win after that goal, brought in Gyokeres, Timber and Guimaraes and it paid off. Gyokeres was much better than Havertz in pressing and creating some unrest in the Leeds half, Timber is certainly better than White and Guimaraes scored a beautiful goal to put us forward. Bukayo Saka did miss a 1v1 against the Leeds goalkeeper in the last few seconds of the game but hey, we walked out with 3 points.
In out title winning last season, there were 5 games where we finished the game with at least one point after trailing. There were 3 draws and 2 wins. This season, we have already done this twice (against Chelsea and Leeds) in 6 games and we have won both game ultimately. That’s a sign of confidence, that’s also a sign of a good bench because when you need players who can make changes, you look towards your bench and they deliver. Bruno G has been a great addition as well. This is brilliant because going down 1-0 in the 15th minute doesn’t mean the game is over for us anymore.
Coming back the progress so far, we are sitting on 2nd place with 15 points behind City. We wanted those YNWA cunts to win a game for once, and they fucked it.

We are just 6 games into the season, there’s not much to deduce from this as of now. We would need few more games to comment and go berserk.
Champions League hasn’t picked up the pace yet. We have won the only game we played so far, there’s 2 more games this month and one of them is against Bayern. It would be exciting few days. We have a 4th round Carabao Cup match against Fleetwood later in the month. There’s a long way to go before we would have the trophy in sight.
I missed talking about the 115 charges of Man City. They have been found guilty of all the charges, but I don’t think Premier League has the guts to punish them. You and I both know a 100m GBP fine will be a slap on the wrist and a transfer ban is something that they can live with. And, there is no chance Premier League will tarnish its credibility by taking away the titles City has won over the years. If you ask me, they should be demoted so down the league, you could spot Erling Haaland playing in the park behind NHS building in East Ham against the 14 years old, while taking instructions in Bengali. Fucking cheats, ruining the images of the best league in the world.
In the other part of world, Mourinho is not able to discipline Vinicious Jr. I have zero confidence Mikel could have done better, because if anyone has bigger ego than Mikel, it’s Mou. I was excited for that Brazilian but looks like that was a good miss for us. It would have caused chaos in an otherwise gentlemen dressing room.
Mikel got his new 4 years contract. That was expected after the title win in 23 years. We can all stop whining now, he is not going anywhere and he has a trophy to show. However, that doesn’t mean he will not get his fair share of criticism. He might have a Premier League trophy, but there’s Champions League left. And then we would go for the treble.
Right, that’s me done. Life’s been busy lately with work, kid, family, but I will keep trying my best. This place is open as always, and I am going to try to bring in some more people in comments section through X/Twitter and Reddit.
See you in the comments.

How’s it going Hoopah? All OK in your part of the world?
in other words we have a trolling windbag of a fucktard in our midst
Seen who’s bottom of the table now?
Here’s a clue. 🐔

My head is still in the 29 C at Malta. I still have to get my brain in gear – it is in Arteta mode – clueless.
Nice one NORG. I used to visit Valetta pretty frequently with work. Strange place…walls everywhere. A bit like a beige version of east Germany. I understand Gozo is much nicer.
45 minutes I’ll never get back. 45 minutes closer to my demise, vainly hoping Arteta might get these footballing millionaires to play some fucking football. Were way too hesitant on the road this season.

I agree about Gozo- went there 25years ago only because I saw on a London cab http://www.Gozo.com.
We rented a house that had just been renovated – it was fabulous. We only chose Malta this time because Ryanair fly there from Norwich – a 15minute taxi ride from where I live. We rented a house in Kalkara overlooking the harbour and Birgu – Valletta was a 10minute ferry ride away. Friendly people the Maltese. Meanwhile back in the UK Arteta is ready to start a new brand – the best cure for insomniacs.
Son called , so am late in. But from what am seeing , guess I was spared the irritation , so all is good .
Don’t know why we are struggling against a team who apparently do not pose a threat up front
I just knew it made more sense to watch the NFL game in London over another boring Arsenal affair…maybe the last 20 will produce something exceedingly more warchable…counting on Havertz and Rice for goals is fucking hilarous for a Billion+ dollar squad…btw Rice hasn’t scored since last January in the PL, but somehow he’s the most advanced midfielder…just saying (of course he’ll likely score now that I’ve said that)
commentator has alot of fucking nerve to suggest that so many are having an off day…don’t they ever watch us…off days are our fucking speciality
a lot
far from convincing until MA’s old friend energes, Senor deflection/own goal
Senor Deflection
will be MotM
Everything else a borefest
Scandalously poor game against a team that were NEVER going to score.
yawn
12 minutes of injury time at Manchester City, yesterday
Only 3 minutes today.
Kenneth Williams was less bent than what I have watched this weekend.
Its fuckin rotten to its guts.
And if that slagys still supports this cunt of a club , having culled 60 low level staff to give it to the moronic cunt, he is a bigger cunt than I thought
Cunt.
Well played Brighton Hove Albion though , doing it with style and class.
Imagine one of our matches ending on a supposed set piece violation by Forest…even Oliver’s on the payroll now…that must be where all our scouting money is going
Just in case anyone was wondering (if the answer is yes why for the love of the football gods) today’s game is what you’d get if you gave Tony Pulis a Billion quid and told him to build a team.

You’re not wrong about Kenneth Williams.who was a terrific comedy actor and raconteur. Absolutely brilliant.
John Lahr wrote a very accomplished biography about 60s playwright Joe Orton and his boyfriend, Kenneth Halliwell, who eventually went on to murder Orton in his Islington flat. The book recounts many encounters with KW and the pair and Moroccan young lads. The book was called, ‘A Prick up Your Ears’ (anyone good at solving anagrams?) and a film was made too. Interesting read which would not get past sensors these days.
Why am I mentioning this? Possibly because the book was a hundred times more interesting than yesterday’s bore fest.

In case my book review has whetted any appetites.
KW – a brilliant entertainer but was so frightened of the consequences of breaking the laws in place at the time.
When my parents split up my father moved to London and one of his regular drinking holes was the PR in Bayswater. Eric Sykes was a regular and he would often tell amusing stories about KW – he entertained them all. Sykes smoked cigars – they were at least a foot long.
