Leeds were superb in the first half. They kept us in check, they kept their positioning and we looked clueless for much of the game. My heart almost sank when they scored their first, we had dropped 3 points against Brighton before the international break and it looked like we will drop points again. But, the substitutions fixed it. Calafiori’s goal wasn’t very mesmerizing but Mikel sensed a win after that goal, brought in Gyokeres, Timber and Guimaraes and it paid off. Gyokeres was much better than Havertz in pressing and creating some unrest in the Leeds half, Timber is certainly better than White and Guimaraes scored a beautiful goal to put us forward. Bukayo Saka did miss a 1v1 against the Leeds goalkeeper in the last few seconds of the game but hey, we walked out with 3 points.
In out title winning last season, there were 5 games where we finished the game with at least one point after trailing. There were 3 draws and 2 wins. This season, we have already done this twice (against Chelsea and Leeds) in 6 games and we have won both game ultimately. That’s a sign of confidence, that’s also a sign of a good bench because when you need players who can make changes, you look towards your bench and they deliver. Bruno G has been a great addition as well. This is brilliant because going down 1-0 in the 15th minute doesn’t mean the game is over for us anymore.
Coming back the progress so far, we are sitting on 2nd place with 15 points behind City. We wanted those YNWA cunts to win a game for once, and they fucked it.

We are just 6 games into the season, there’s not much to deduce from this as of now. We would need few more games to comment and go berserk.
Champions League hasn’t picked up the pace yet. We have won the only game we played so far, there’s 2 more games this month and one of them is against Bayern. It would be exciting few days. We have a 4th round Carabao Cup match against Fleetwood later in the month. There’s a long way to go before we would have the trophy in sight.
I missed talking about the 115 charges of Man City. They have been found guilty of all the charges, but I don’t think Premier League has the guts to punish them. You and I both know a 100m GBP fine will be a slap on the wrist and a transfer ban is something that they can live with. And, there is no chance Premier League will tarnish its credibility by taking away the titles City has won over the years. If you ask me, they should be demoted so down the league, you could spot Erling Haaland playing in the park behind NHS building in East Ham against the 14 years old, while taking instructions in Bengali. Fucking cheats, ruining the images of the best league in the world.
In the other part of world, Mourinho is not able to discipline Vinicious Jr. I have zero confidence Mikel could have done better, because if anyone has bigger ego than Mikel, it’s Mou. I was excited for that Brazilian but looks like that was a good miss for us. It would have caused chaos in an otherwise gentlemen dressing room.
Mikel got his new 4 years contract. That was expected after the title win in 23 years. We can all stop whining now, he is not going anywhere and he has a trophy to show. However, that doesn’t mean he will not get his fair share of criticism. He might have a Premier League trophy, but there’s Champions League left. And then we would go for the treble.
Right, that’s me done. Life’s been busy lately with work, kid, family, but I will keep trying my best. This place is open as always, and I am going to try to bring in some more people in comments section through X/Twitter and Reddit.
See you in the comments.

PSG destroying City, not only winning 3 nil after 30 minutes but playing football that would get Wenger aroused.
And we’re stuck with the CUNT. Shit football, massive outlay and making staff redundant to cover for the CUNT’s profligate spending.
Marc
He is a fraudulent cunt.
Enrique always makes him look like a mug with his pure football. Notice he is not screaming at his players all game like a demented CUNT!
The cunt is on 400 grand a week and 60 low level staff are now being culled to pay for it.
Its an absolute cunt of a club nowdays. I fucking despise it with a passion.
Have to say PSG for half an hour were on a different planet last night, however credit to City they bombarded PSG from then on and were unlucky not to get something from the game, I was quite impressed with how city over powered PSG in the 2nd half.
My take from that game is PSG are poor defensively and look very susceptible to any ball that came into their box , though of course offensively they are superb although city made it easy for them in the opening period of the game, to beat PSG you have to get through the opening period unscathed as they use up a lot of energy during that period.
My other take is that City (if they don’t have points deducted) will be a threat for the title this season as they look to have a lot of quality and depth in their squad. , which is hardly surprising after adding Guehi, semenyo, bouyaddi, Enzo and Anderson to the squad this year at probably a cost of close to half a billion,Haaland staying fit is the key for them as they have little back up though I suppose they will just go out and spend another couple of hundred mil to get a replacement.
No one fucking asked…
As if any top player would join City until all the fallout over the charges is sorted.
Wicksy
You suddenly seemed interested in what clubs are spending. How about Arsenal laying off 60 staff to cut costs and how we’re losing money even though we won the PL last season.
I’m not quite getting why Gabriel is positioned under the goal posts when we have a corner, he is our best header of the ball and is almost unstoppable when attacking the near or far post with a run from the penalty spot..
Gabriel is rendered useless when standing under the goal posts.
towards the end of last season we made good use of the short corner, so far this season we haven’t used this tactic which worked so well when Eze scored against Newcastle..
Watching the games this season the rules haven’t changed much at corners, there is still contact , we just need to be more inventive or maybe we have become complacent as good delivery and movement is the key.
As much as we were criticised last season , none of our goals from corners were fouls , it was just a stick to beat us with as we were so good at set pieces.
Marc
“ As if any top player would join City until all the fallout over the charges is sorted.”
You could say as if any top player would have joined city knowing that they had 115 charges pending….and yet 6 top players at least have signed this year knowing that there was a high probability city would be found guilty on many of the charges , though I doubt anyone would have predicted guilty on 114 out of 115 charges..
Wicksy
Because City would have told them “nothings going to happen”.
Do you not realise that there is genuine shock at City that they’ve been found guilty? Not because they didn’t do anything but because they don’t think the rules apply to them – which is why the punishment has to be crushing.
Arteta told Arsenal job cuts will help create success – https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cr3wv4xd2l6yo
Job cuts will help create success! And the world is made of green knob cheese. Fuck me…the lies these people tell.
Orwell’s prediction of double speak in ‘1984’ comes to the fore again. How the actual fuck do you create success by cutting jobs? Any jobs? It’s as fucking mad as saying we’re more likely to beat Forest on Sunday if we only start with 4 players. Ken Friar would never have come out with this type of corporate bullshit.
You’ve just been made redundant a couple of months before Christmas and cunt is A) making it about himself and B) saying the club will be better off without you.
Real classy,
Arteta
“Obviously, I am not the right person to answer that question. That’s for sure. And hopefully everybody will respect that.”
Say no more
Marc
“ Do you not realise that there is genuine shock at City that they’ve been found guilty?”
I would call that naive from any new signing to believe that they were anything but guilty.
Wicksy
You’re confusing being guilty with thinking they wouldn’t be found guilty.
Anyone watching the bindips? Brentford player sent off for nutting a Liverpool player…only one slight problem – the Liverpool player was moving his head towards the Brentford player. Fuck me… football is terrible these days.
KP
“ only one slight problem – the Liverpool player was moving his head towards the Brentford player. Fuck me… football is terrible these days.”
Yes a very similar situation as last season when Haaland instigated the problem with Gabriel, fortunately the ref used his brain as it was obvious that Haaland was trying to get a reaction from Gabriel..
Unsurprisingly Gabriel took a lot of flak for that incident from the biased media , also unsurprisingly the usual suspects on here were calling for a red card for Gabriel.
The fixture list hasn’t fallen too kindly for us this season , in November it will be 10 away games out of first 15 fixtures since the start of the season and as we all know(or should do) , playing away from home with the travelling and the more physical nature of the games puts pressure on the squad, fortunately we have an elite manager who has built a squad with depth and quality to handle such difficult periods in the season.
So far we have won 9 out of 10 games without reaching our peak, forest today may go the same way as our 2 recent games v Leeds and Lille with the opposition sitting deep and Arsenal having to play a game of patience, though of course an early goal by either side may bring a different dynamic to the game.
I’m expecting a comfortable win by at least a couple of goals especially as we rested a number of players during the week ..
The fixture list has been very kind to us this season. By having a lot of away matches early in the season it means we have more homes games in the run in, not only does this give us an advantage but it means early European matches which will have a greater number of “easier” matches mean we can rotate more freely.
Lie, damned lies and statistics. You can argue fixtures both ways – the truth is in the PL so far we’ve played 6 – 3 home and 3 away.
Wicksy – you really are full of shit.
And the teams we get to play in minor cup matches…
Guess there is pot instead of paraffin beneath the Wick
That Forest team can be got at. No Gibbs-White therefore no creativity.
And no Wood for Forest which means it’s pun time NORG.
Same old, same old. ‘Match’ them for energy and creativity, show a bit of composure and will-ow to win when we get chances and keep the pressure up if we get ahead. Without Timber, we should be able to ‘leaf’ with three points…nah, fuck it.
Definitely winnable.
