Raya starts which is obvious. Ben White starts as RB, Mosquera and Gabriel as the CBs, and Calafiori on the left. MLS gets another start in the midfield, alongside Declan Rice and Odegaard. Havertz led the line with Saka and Tzolis on either side of the pitch to assist him.
It was expected that Konsa would start against his former side, but it looks like Mikel wants to stick to what worked earlier. Havertz over Gyokeres – we can’t even call it a mystery because we all know why it is so.
I am turning 35 in a few minutes, India time so I don’t have much to say, except that not seeing Martinelli is a heart break for me while not seeing Jesus gives a relief. Only a day and some hours left before the transfer window shuts, and we have only Tzolis left as the left winger.
That’s another day’s discussion though, the game starts in an hour and I will watch some of it.
Hope you are having a good day, and hopefully the Monday ends with a win. #COYG

Imagine if Barcola was warming up on the sidelines.
Vinicius who? We have got our own superstar. Calafiori did brilliant as well
I think Maatsen kicked that off Saka’s foot, which doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things…always great to see good things happen to good people
Is George Hemmings on our payroll? if he isn’t he should be
Havertz missed a 1v1 and some of our fans still feel he should start ahead of Gyokeres. Fuck off
Havertz is a world-class loser, even if it would have been called back…not to mention his flopping escapades…Unai might be asking if there’s areturn policy when it comes to Suzuki…talk about a precipitious dropoff from Emi…he’s a bag of toys out there, yet he still stopped Havertz at point-blank range with everything to aim at
“precipitous”
how is it possible that Viktor hasn’t come on, even if it’s just to get some minutes
This is genuinely painful to watch.
maybe Viktor’s heading out the door so MA doesn’t want to risk an injury

We do need another FB in the squad!
could we be more fucking weaselly
Marc—did you say another manager?
TRVL
Been saying it for six years.
I was right then and right every time I’ve said it since.
the paper mache brothers, Havertz and Merino, are at it again
Will someone please show Havertz a double red card for diving – maybe he’ll stop doing it then.
if I was Saka I would be irate at my flopping teammates because the opposition will make him pay for their embarassing exploits
even our new guys are fitting right in, if by fitting you mean flopping and remestrating
time for bed – yawn.
McGinn has been shockingly bad tonight…he’s an old school armband captain who couldn’t find work anywhere else in the PL, minus a bottom-feeder club
Marc
Refs need to get their act together and either award Havertz a card or nominate him for an oscar.
