It was expected that Konsa would start against his former side, but it looks like Mikel wants to stick to what worked earlier. Havertz over Gyokeres – we can’t even call it a mystery because we all know why it is so.

as for Arteta, it will be interesting to see.how he navigates a few issues:
(1) according to reports there were more than a few players who weren’t very pleased, to say the least, by how the whole Marts departure was mishandled
(2) how will Viktor be utilized now that he’s here to stay until at least January…I can sort of understand why he didn’t see any minutes leading up to the deadline, as MA would have tried to ship him if Alvarez came in, but a savvier/smarter manager would have dealt with things quite differently just in case the didn’t materialize
(3) it will be interesting to see what Konsa’s role will be now that reports have surfaced regarding Saliba’s potential availability in the not too decent future…frankly I’m not surprised by the news as I have a feeling that MA’s paid hacks kept pumping out the whole long-term injury scenario so that MA wouldn’t take more flak when he once again spent more on fucking defenders than forwards…Saliba could be the next pure profit poster boy

Now I know dickheads will tell us how you need 2 players for every position but when you have that many players competing for positions where having a relationship with the players around you is critical means players just don’t get enough game time. So you have a situation where you have players who don’t give a shit and are just there for the money or when they are required are off the pace.
The only justification is if you constantly have a lot of players injured in which case you either have a cunt constantly buying injury prone players or a cunt manager who’s causing them to get injured.
So far this season we have beaten 2 of the teams who finished in the top 4 last season without conceding a goal .
Tomorrow we play Chelsea who are being touted as title challengers after what many consider to be an excellent transfer window, though I would argue that having to bring a defender into midfield to replace the injured Caicedo represents a naive transfer window as the replacement will probably be Reece James who,although a decent player, will invariably break down which will leave Chelsea threadbare in that area.
Personally I think some are getting too carried away with Chelsea’s start to the season, they struggled to beat a poor Fulham side who will probably be fighting relegation, and they beat a depleted Brighton side by the odd goal.
As I said previously, Arteta is unlikely to play into Chelsea’s hands the way Brighton did , Chelsea averaged 30% possession against Fulham and Brighton which is unsurprising as Martinez went long every time so Alonso obviously doesn’t trust his defenders to play out from the back.
I’m not sure that Chelsea going long as they did v Brighton will be a good ploy , especially as we have a back 4 all 6ft plus.
What we will see is Reece James trying to referee the game and Fofana trying to play the hard man and failing as per usual, so expect at least a yellow for those 2 as frustration will get the better of them, Chelsea are apparently training using rugby methods which tells us how concerned they are leading into this game .
