This blog has been inactive for 34 days because the author was last seen running around the neighbourhood screaming, “IT’S FINALLY HAPPENED.” He has now been safely returned to his keyboard. Normal Arsenal-induced emotional instability will resume immediately.
Berta is super active. Trossard is most likely leaving to Besiktas, and we are fetching 17m for him. A good business overall, he has been a fantastic servant and helped us to win a title after so long. We have also been interested in Bruno Guimaraes, I hate that cunt and frankly, I would have been happier if we have gone for an attacking midfielder instead of a DM. But, Declan Rice need the luxury of rest and with the amount of games he has played / playing, we need someone to rotate with him. We will be playing for 4 different trophies again, so yeah that would help a bit.
If rumours are to be believed, we are also trying to bring Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa. They are demanding 130m for him, which is bonkers and I would have laughed for a good 12 minutes before leaving their office had they said that to me. I don’t watch Villa ever since that cunt Emi Martinez started shitting about us, so I have not much idea about him but hey, if someone values him at 100m+, he must be good enough.
We are also trying to rob Villa for Ezri Konsa. Ben White days are numbered in Arsenal shirt and we need a RB who should be able to rotate with Timber without a drop in quality. I won’t mind him, Villa are asking for 60m I think, we paid 50m, 5 years ago for Ben White, so this one’s look the most probable out of all transfer targets we are pursuing.
We are the league winners. We already have a team that won the title. We can go again with the same 24 players and we will still challenge for it this season. However, we surely can use some of that prize money to improve and there are a lot of places we do need improvement.
Midfield has always been a worry to me. Is asking for a CF too much? A left winger after Trossard leaves, and he must be at least better than Martinelli? A right back of course, Ben White looked nervous whatever amount of games he got. There are a lot of things we can improve, and we must. I don’t care of KSE goes bankrupt in doing so.
Right, that’s all for today. I am still rusty but it will improve. I would love to hear what you think about the rumours, what your expectations are and which places we should (and must) improve on.
See you in the comments.

Don’t get me wrong I wasn’t implying that Rogers is the answer to our questions up top, especially at that price and considering MA’s negative tactics, I was just making a commentary about the state of the franchise since our little MIT opted for this blunt instrument project…no one of any real consequence is clamoring to come our way unless we’re likewise paying them a king’s ransom, which is why Jesus and Havertz are some of the highest paid players in the PL, and/or granting them their make-a-wish positional dreams
speaking of blunt instrument football, that Cup Final was like witnessing two rather unwatchable incarnations of MA’s Arsenal at the same fuckng time…with Spain there’s always considerable periods of sideways nonsense with no end product and they likewise rely too heavily on a constantly double-teamed left winger..let’s not forget they’ve deployed a midfield/possession-centric system for decades, but at least the last time they lifted the Cup they had the likes of Torres and Villa up top, so it doesn’t have to look and feel like this
as for this particular version of Argentina it was very reminiscent of us against PSG, where we resigned ourselves to the role of bus sitting bitch for the better part of 90 minutes then hoped that somehow luck would favour us ..what a pathetic flop-heavy shitberg!! that said, the World Cup was far better than I expected, minus a few orange-haired hiccups along the way…watching Infantino and Trump handing over the trophy together was both revealing and fucking priceless…two peas in a fucktard pod
Hall of shame of WC pretenders

The lesser cunts won !
From the Athletic:
“And what of Arsenal, the new English champions who reached the Champions League final in May after making the semi-final the previous year? For Rogers to choose Chelsea, where chaos has reigned for years, over the stability and much higher chance (at least at this moment in time) of silverware and success does not reflect well on Chelsea’s London rivals…
If Chelsea have merely outspent Arsenal on the sizeable fee to Villa and the overall wage packet offered to Rogers, then that’s a football story as old as time. Fair enough.
But perhaps there’s more to it than that. Rogers is unlikely to come out and say this publicly, even if it were to be true, but does the prospect of set pieces, long throws and a record low 24.7 per cent possession in the Champions League final carry much of an appeal to an attacking player like him?
This deal has clearly been negotiated during the World Cup, where most of Arsenal’s attack have been residing with Rogers out in North America.
Could Bukayo Saka, Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke and Declan Rice not convince Rogers that playing under Mikel Arteta at the Emirates was a better option than moving to Stamford Bridge?”
Makes perfect sense to me. Eze didn’t enjoy a great season in terms of his role or impact. Maybe Rogers saw that and didn’t fancy risking the same. It’s a huge ringing endorsement of Alonso and the project he is looking to build.
Next season all those challenging will have better squads and managers then the past season and we can’t count on Pool and City to have another disasterous season.
Tomorrow will be a month from the start of the new season. Will El B still be managing a top 4 team or will the other under performing teams spark back into life and move us to one side and then trample us.
Some managers of the usual top teams are new but I do not expect them to receive backing from their owners for the next 5 years before they achieve anything – they must hit the ground running or be sacked.
Unless El B has a change of style somewhere in his bottom drawer then it will be the same old boring football but with teams having more savvy to deal with us.
City has Maresca, Chelsea has Alonso, United has Carrick, Pool has Iraola and Villa has Don Unai plus a boatload of money. All of them are better than El B in spotting talent which will make this upcoming season a very difficult one. Which leaves the best of the rest as an unknown Forrest with Glasner, Spuds with DeZerbi and Hurzeler with BHA.
It is wide open and after the first few games we will have a better idea of what to expect.
Killroy
It also needs to be noted that Arteta won the league in a season where every other team in what is generally seen as contenders for the top 7 replace their manager with the exception of Villa and City who’s players obviously knew Pep was leaving at the end of the season.
Killroy—as you know I have little to no faith in the possibility of our low hanging fruit of a manager changing his tactical stripes…in fact, he’ll likely double down, even though some might logically see this as the perfect opportunity to take some creative risks.. unfortunately he’s not built like that…his personality type, fake alpha, simply won’t allow him to pursue a different path, as he will undoubtedly believe that his tactical stubbornness was a vital component of our success…as such, I’m sure we’ll be subjected to more than our fairshare of rigid risk-averse shitball
now if the League had a reinvigorated Pep and Klopp, he would get schooled if he tried to run this back, but that’s not what he’s facing:
Moresca was removed from Chelsea due to his bland Arteta-like scheme and that City lineup needs a lot of tweaking, although Rodri appears to be finally back in footballing shape, both mind and body
Alonso didn’t last a single season in Real, albeit I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt as I don’t think anyone can survive that circus until the player’s egos are reined in…maybe Jose will fit the bill, as I’m sure he required some assurances in that regards before signing on the dotted line
Carrick isn’t the first or the last manager to come in mid-season and get results, but it’s too small of a sample size to project anything moving forward
this is Iraola’s first big club appointment and even though I rate him, I was a fan of his predecessor, who I think overachieved in year one and suffered the consequences of not meeting or exceeding them in year 2, which would have been difficult for any manager in light of the injuries and in-house politics
as for Unai, he will have to navigate an offseason that will see him lose most of his top talent, so he could struggle, at least early on
so there’s no excuses for us not repeating…shit, we would be going for 3 or 4 in a row, if anyone else were at the helm…sadly, this will likely be the reason why we’ll see much of the same defensive dog shit on the pitch…with his job security at an all-time high, he has zero incentive to admit his expensive missteps with Kai Havertz’s positioning or Declan Rice’s advanced role…he has the perfect political shield to keep playing his defensive, physical chess match, regardless of how frustrating it is to watch….Cheers.
TRVL, nicely put. We definitely need to get a tune out of Eze, he did not have an impactful season, and the fact that we are rumored to be looking at Alvarez, gives me the feeling that Vic is not the finished product that was hoped for.
Madueke was just another wasteful purchase we loose millions on and at the WC it showed that Tuchel was done with him, which does not add to his value.
This TW like any other one for most of the teams is a make or break one for CL next season, never mind the title.
The pundits and media claim that Arsenal’s pursuit of Rogers involved a ‘direct chat’ with EL-B, in which he ‘laid out his vision for integrating him into the side’. But Alonso also spoke privately to Rogers and ‘delivered a stronger pitch’ to help convince him to snub Arsenal.
Oh the ignominy in how this plays out in public. If Chelsea finish above Arsenal a new chapter of how players prefer other projects and managers will be a feast for us.
More Roger’s saga from the Athletic:
“Villa and Arsenal were always some distance apart. Arsenal had a clear valuation of Rogers: £80million. That game of brinkmanship was exacerbated by Arsenal’s interest in Villa defender Ezri Konsa — again, with a valuation some way short of Villa’s.
Arsenal’s links with Julian Alvarez, Bradley Barcola and Eli Junior Kroupi over several weeks sowed a seed of doubt in the player’s camp despite Arsenal’s insistence he was their No 1 priority. Rogers felt more love from Chelsea when they made their move.
Arsenal were contacted to see if they would be willing to match the £117million offer. They declined, choosing to focus on alternative targets.”
AFC’s board is now made up of financiers or other money people, which means Arteta no longer is granted his wishes to buy whatever players he wants. This is a good thing because it accelerates EL-B fucking of into the sunset.
Killroy
Lets hope so.
No one likes the cunt, so hopefully he fucks off for good.
Cunt.
not sure if I simply misunderstood when our cunt of a manager said we were going to act swiftly and decisively in the window, but I find it difficult to believe that activating Hip’s clause, signing the worst statistical Keeper in the PL and acquiring a Greek forward from the Jupiter League was what anyone had in mind…get to work you fucktards!!
my bad…I didn’t realize that we’re seriously considering John fucking Stones…I take it all back
I have no doubt we will win the league next season.
The new season like last season will begin without many starters , this will enable the likes of Dowman, Nwaneri, tzoli, skelly , Ben white , Hincape etc to show their capabilities which will stand us in good stead as the season progresses.
I would expect Gyokeres, Gabriel , Timber and Havertz to be ready for the start of the season , plus I see no reason why the likes of Eze, merino and zubimendi should have an extended break as they have had very little game time in the World Cup, in fact if I was Eze I would be telling Arteta that I would be available for pre season as it would be a golden chance for him to lay down a marker.
Also the likes of Odegard and saka had very little game time in the title run in so I would expect them to be close to available in the first week or so..
Rogers not coming to Arsenal is no big deal , a decent player but I was never that enthusiastic about him coming , our new left winger has similar attributes to trossard so it’s like for like but it would be nice to see an elite striker/winger come in ..
How I see the start of the season is a number of fringe players starting with quite a few regulars on the bench, Coventry on paper looks the perfect game to start the season but I’m sure big fat frank will will set out his team to try and hurt us at the back so it should be an entertaining game which will disappoint the regulars on here who like nothing better than to whinge about nothing in particular despite us being the best team in the country, in fact it’s quite amusing watching all the clubs throw fortunes at average players in their desperation to reach our level …
@TRVL
Resist at the atmost, do not give him a rise by answering. The Rodgers comment shows that he has better footballing knowledge than Alonso.
You have not changed, you out and out slag.
The cunt got lucky last season.
For the first time ever.
No red cards or penalties awarded against
He wont get as lucky this year.
“in fact it’s quite amusing watching all the clubs throw fortunes at average players”
Good grief – its like he operates in Pol Pots year zero there is no history or previous bad signings.
If I had the energy I’d go through and add up all the money Captain Fuckwits pissed up the wall but I really can’t be bothered.

Lowlights… possibly from the last time we played Cov at home in the league. A hat trick from the rotund Micky Quinn and it may have also been on opening day. I was there. A fucking terrible afternoon.
Elvis Costello has re-written his song – the words are now ‘ I dont want to go to Arsenal’.
