The Emergency Announcement

The Emergency Announcement

This blog has been inactive for 34 days because the author was last seen running around the neighbourhood screaming, “IT’S FINALLY HAPPENED.” He has now been safely returned to his keyboard. Normal Arsenal-induced emotional instability will resume immediately.

Berta is super active. Trossard is most likely leaving to Besiktas, and we are fetching 17m for him. A good business overall, he has been a fantastic servant and helped us to win a title after so long. We have also been interested in Bruno Guimaraes, I hate that cunt and frankly, I would have been happier if we have gone for an attacking midfielder instead of a DM. But, Declan Rice need the luxury of rest and with the amount of games he has played / playing, we need someone to rotate with him. We will be playing for 4 different trophies again, so yeah that would help a bit.

If rumours are to be believed, we are also trying to bring Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa. They are demanding 130m for him, which is bonkers and I would have laughed for a good 12 minutes before leaving their office had they said that to me. I don’t watch Villa ever since that cunt Emi Martinez started shitting about us, so I have not much idea about him but hey, if someone values him at 100m+, he must be good enough.

We are also trying to rob Villa for Ezri Konsa. Ben White days are numbered in Arsenal shirt and we need a RB who should be able to rotate with Timber without a drop in quality. I won’t mind him, Villa are asking for 60m I think, we paid 50m, 5 years ago for Ben White, so this one’s look the most probable out of all transfer targets we are pursuing.

We are the league winners. We already have a team that won the title. We can go again with the same 24 players and we will still challenge for it this season. However, we surely can use some of that prize money to improve and there are a lot of places we do need improvement.

Midfield has always been a worry to me. Is asking for a CF too much? A left winger after Trossard leaves, and he must be at least better than Martinelli? A right back of course, Ben White looked nervous whatever amount of games he got. There are a lot of things we can improve, and we must. I don’t care of KSE goes bankrupt in doing so.

Right, that’s all for today. I am still rusty but it will improve. I would love to hear what you think about the rumours, what your expectations are and which places we should (and must) improve on.

See you in the comments.

Now finally the world cup gets interesting because we are in the quarterfinals. However, because of FIFA’s shithousing and corruption I started to show more interested in the Nations Championship in rugby where the southern hemisphere teams play against the northern hemisphere teams.

In addition F1 has peaked my interest and an Apple TV+ sub was a good investment. Therefore commenting here may have slowed down because no one really wants to spend energy on click bait rumors of new incoming Arsenal squad members.

Somebody said you were naked at the time – his name was Pedro.

I was starting to worry that something had happened to you Ambarish…you’re reaction time was akin to that of our club’s sloth-like movement in the window…we spend too much time flirting with two dozen or so players then string them along so we can save a few bucks…sadly this usually sees us missing out on better options and then paying through the nose for a lesser light…I thought our strategy might change with Berta coming on board but apparently not…same old, same old thus far

neither Bruno nor Rogers are worth the fees being bandied about, as we need to add some serious creativity within our lineup…this isn’t to suggest that I don’t think they’re skilled players, it’s just that we can’t overpay for a wannabe AM or another shoehorning experiment…now that he’s put us through the bully ball dark arts ringer, so that he could get the monkey off his back, we need to focus our investments on highly-skilled players in the final third…maybe players like Nico Paz or Yan Diamonde or even Doue should be on our radar, as I doubt we’ll pay for readymade options, but we might actually stretch our budget a bit for those with a longer runway(even though MA has failed to lift a single blue chipper, minus maybe Ode early on)…Barcola is nothing to sneeze at but his straight line attacking style doesn’t seem to fit within MA’s usual plans…you only need to look at how he’s misused Marts to figure that out…if I had to guess we’ll end up with a couple underwhelming options…I sure hope I’m wrong

btw whenever the WC commentators talked about boring football, they always referenced fucking Arsenal…that’s not something we should be proud of or continue to aspire to be…

It’s boring for a neutral now, Germany and Brazil are out. Messi v Ronaldo is over.

France v England it would come to ultimately. Tough to choose, unless you can smuggle some Peroni to India :))

    NORG,

😂 He might even have started preparing your returns.

I am alright thank you. It was though a medical emergency for a cousin, was supposed to be a week but took a month for diagnosis and cure.

    How’s things?

  8. The Real Vieira Lynn

sounds like quite the nightmare, one that I’m all too aware of…thankfully your cousin appears to be on the mend…as for myself, can’t complain, but I will anyways…hopefully there will be something to chat about sooner than later on the transfer front…Cheers

What the fuck is going on with this World Cup?

Germany were shit and have gone home, Holland & Brazil shit and gone home, Argentina a goal down and Egypt just disallowed a second. Spain not looked great.

The only team that’s looked at the expected level is France.

    Hope everyone is OK!

It appears as if Bruno has informed Newcastle that he wants a move to North London, which is unusual, as few have done likewise, and likewise fills me with mixed emotions

on the positive side, he’s proven himself in the PL, he can sit deeper and be deployed n more advanced spaces, until last season he was relatively injury free and he’s both aggressive, from a passing standpoint, and above average when it comes to his technical skillset

on the other hand, he turns 29 in November, so this would be another resale nightmare, he’s more villian than hero, albeit those are players you oft-times would rather have on your side than play against, he’s a bit of a bag of toys from a disciplinary perspective, which likely worsen with age, and this could be a too many cooks in the kitchen kind of midfield, unless Zubi is being sold and Rice is resigned to returning to his deeper role…not to mention, this would likely put the final nail in Ethan’s coffin and negatively impact the futures of Eze, Skelly and Dowman, especially if Ode, Kai and Merino are staying on

tbf if this happened right after Xhaka left I would have been elated, as he would have fit the profile and there’s no way the German giraffe would have ever arrived, but that wasn’t the case…as such, I don’t see this as a massive upgrade…the only way this might be tenable is if we bring in a world class left-sider with a shit ton of goals in his boots…otherwise this move would signal to me that we’re leaning even further into our present bully ball, blunt instrument dark arts bullshit…thanks but no thanks

I don’t think his age is an issue. He is 28, and 60m is well spent if he helps us win another title this year.

  12. Ambarish K

I hate that cunt though. Never thought of seeing Silva, Guimaraes, or Richarlison in Arsenal jersey

  13. The Real Vieira Lynn

he’s 29 in November so he will demand a longer term deal, and Newcastle will likely require more than the 60M being quoted

France is the more gifted side, but they have 3 potential weakness, Rabiot, Digne and their Keeper, so they’re certainly not unbeatable…personally I think it will be difficult to stop Argentina from repeating, as luck appears to be on their side (not to mention all the fucking skill they have)

  14. The Real Vieira Lynn

    weaknesses

  15. Ambarish K

    France v Morocoo
    Spain v Belgium
    Norway v England
    Argentina v Switzerland

Argentina needs just 60 minutes of Messi not being the absolute monster and they will be out.

Saka can lift another trophy 🏆

  16. Marc

The fee I’ve heard Newcastle want for Bruno Guimarães is £90 million – its a hell of a lot of money for a player who’s probably got 3 years at the “top level” in them as well as how many fucking midfielders do we need?

Assume first choice 3 is Ode, Rice and Zubi, you’ve got Eze, Merino and then Dowman coming through, Bambi on Ice will also get matches in midfield and Skelly started the CL final in CM.

If he’s a replacement for Norgaard why are we not keeping our powder dry for a real superstar? We need a new left winger and Gyokeres is OK but not top level.

Even if we sold Ode there’s still plenty of legs who all need minutes to be match fit when they’re called on.

We’re back to fat kid in a sweet shop throwing money around for the sake of it.

  17. Marc

I can’t see past France for the World Cup – they’re the only team I’ve seen (I’ve not seen every match by any means) who have looked at the level I’d expect them to be.

The final should be France vs England or Argentina.

  18. The Real Vieira Lynn

I guess we know what Merino’s role will be going forward

  19. Massive amount of Argentina and particularly Messi skulduggery in SM . Some videos like vs Egypt , Cabo Verde and Switzerland recall did happen, there is also a bit of AI modified footage including Messi socking someone in the face.
Frankly , the reputation of Fifa like a few governments in the world have got correctly soiled .
But will go by what TRVL eagle eyes saw 😃

  20. The Real Vieira Lynn

it comes as no surprise that FIFA has attempted to employ rules/guidelines that directly address all the questions that were raised by our blunt insturment dark arts dependent campaign: not placating the floppers, not allowing the typical hijinxs in the box, particularly on corners, five count throw-ins, to curtail the endless time wasting, and trying to encourage a more open free-flowing style of play…no one wants MA’s tactical nonsense to be the norm, as that would be catering to a disturbing regressive trend

Hoopah—as it pertains to Argentina there’s no doubt they’ve received some favourable officiating, but nothing that didn’t follow the literal rulebook…that said, if they took into consideration the spirit of the rules the Egyptian goal shouldn’t have been discounted and the Swiss sending off wouldn’t have happened…tbf as the defending champs and with Messi as their talisman they were always going to get the benefit of the doubt, but if they don’t find a way to bring it on a more consistent basis a call in their favour here or there won’t save them in the semis or finals…Cheers
