North London ‘eze’ RED | Spurs recap, Bayern today

‘Did you think you had Eze’ – asked a reporter from Thomas Frank. Thomas, appointed only recently as the manager of a shite club, responded in an attempt to create some humour by asking back –

‘Who is Eze?’

Well, he just scored a hattrick in a NLD after 47 fucking years and by the time 90 mins were done, Spurs fans were already at home, probably sobbing and blaming the cold. If you are one of those and delusional enough to think you own North London, let me just say that even with a 4-1 win, we were more frustrated than you lot because we couldn’t keep a clean sheet. You are used to losses so that was just a regular day for you.

Right, that was a brilliant evening for us Gooners. A 4-1 victory over Spurs, at Home, hat-trick from the man who had almost joined Spurs but the club brought him to Emirates in the last minutes, Saka dancing and fans staying and singing once the match was over. And we did all this without our first choice striker, and our best defensive player while Hincapie started his first game in place of Gabriel. Our captain was missing too.

We took the lead in the 36th minute when Mikel Merino set up a beautiful ball to Trossard who, very precisely, put it into the nets. Eze, doubled the lead in 5 minutes when he put the ball into the nets courtesy of Rice’s assist. We went into the break 2-0 and Frank made some changes hoping he could turn it around. I am pretty sure he is aware of the spursy nature of that team but hey, he is paid enough to at least try. Eze made it 3-0 only 1 minute into the second half, assisted by Timber but that lad was dreaming of something more.

Richarlison scored a good one from far away. When you play a high line and your goal keeper is involved in setting things up, this can happen. I don’t mind it more than Raya, who would be furious to not add this game to another one of his clean sheets. Frank made some more changes but Eze scored his 3rd in the 76th minute and made sure that no one but the red and whites celebrate the day.

Spurs were so shite we didn’t even need to use set pieces to beat them.

We had finished 2nd, three seasons in a row. We  lost points in dead games, injuries derailed us and there were some very odd decisions from the manager. This season, we lost our best defender and yet Hincapie finished his 1st full game with a 9.5/10. Odegaard is out injured but Eze comes in and does better. I was doubting Trossard but he has proven that he can play better than Martinelli when he is given a chance. We have a saucy striker who looks adapted now, was out injured but we didn’t miss him. Saka was world class and will remain so.

Now, onto the next game in Champions League tonight against Bayern. Only 3 teams are with a perfect score so far, and two of them are playing each other today. Bayern sits at top of the table with equal points and same goal difference but have scored 3 extra goals than us. That also means we have conceded 3 less than them, in fact, we have conceded fuck-all so far in 4 games in the group stages and Bayern will test that today. We will be without our best CB partnership but Hincapie dropped a bombshell of a performance against Spurs so I am not really bothered.

To finish in top 8 and avoid 2 extra qualifying games later, we have to win at least 6 of the 8 games. After today, we will be playing Club Brugge, Inter and Kairat. Inter Milan is the third team with all wins so far. Frankly, it’s not a do or die situation for us but there’s always some uncertainty in Champions League. We saw Chelsea beating Barcelona last night, and Newcastle losing to Merseille thanks to 2 goals from the ex-Arsenal man, Aubameyang. Anything can happen, so make the most out of what’s in front of you.

Martinelli and Madueke are back in the team. Odegaard might also be available, though I doubt Mikel will bench the hattrick man for him. Mikel, when asked about facing Bayern, had to say this –

For sure, this is the kind of game in the competition that we want to face, and we’ve been very consistent in both competitions; they have been as well, and tomorrow is a great test for us to see where we are.

A very challenging game indeed, and the one which will highlight whether we have progressed to win something of importance of this year. Beat Bayern today and the boys will go home in confidence. Also, there can be only one team sitting at the top and we would love to be the one.

See you during the game.

    Pricksy—or…

Noni—was shoehorned out wide left and was just okay, then got injured for a long period…like his potential but only on the right side, so the jury’s still out

VG—hasn’t been properly integrated into the Striker role because MA’s unwilling to adapt his tactics to the skillset of our new front man

Zubi—he’s been decent, but nothing spectacular…still worried about his ability to defend in our final third without all the clutching and grabbing(known for that in La Liga)

Moq—liked what he’s had on offer, albeit with a small sample size, especially when deployed on his natural side

    Hip—TBD

Eze—rather underwhelming until injuries eventually opened the door for him to play in his best position…too bad that wasn’t done in a more timely manner(who’s fault was that?!?)

Noorgard—who the fuck knows…never injured until he arrived here, which gives me cause for pause about our training methods

    Kepa—never fucking plays

sorry for the reality check you dimwitted twat!!

Here is a Ricky Gervais quote that applies to you perfectly after reading your analysis of our new arrivals.

“When you are dead you don’t know you are dead , it’s only painful and difficult for others , the same applies when you are stupid”

Eze ” underwhelming ” ….there’s a comment that will come back to haunt you, as will Zubimendi “nothing spectacular “.

Unfortunately some people struggle when they see a footballer make the game look too easy , look and learn and be educated with the ease at how they have slotted into the Arsenal style of football , and then look and learn at how wirtz , isak, kerkez and frimpong have struggled to slot in to the Liverpool style….

You really need to learn to read the whole comment rather than be so keen to have a pop at TRVL you snatch at things. He said Eze had been underwhelming when played out wide he’s looked a much better player when moved centrally but that only happened when Ode got injured.

I pretty much agree with that, now maybe he was adjusting to a new club etc or maybe he’s not the same player playing on the left wing.

    What happens when Ode’s fit?

Marc—thanks for clarifying what I thought was glaringly obvious…I guess I should never make assumptions when it comes to these interloping muppets…I’ve been nothing but supportive of the Eze acquisition, especially when he’s being deployed in a manner that’s befitting of his particular set of skills…Cheers

Dumb and Dumber in agreement…who would have guessed.

You’d look less fucking stupid if you made a coherent argument against what I said.

As for dumb – what do you call someone who blindly follows a failure year after year, season after season all the time making up new excuses for the same old bullshit? Cause it ain’t fucking clever.

    TRVL

Truth is dopey doesn’t want to debate football or even have banter. He just wants to go after you because he’s desperate to make you wrong because you’d dared to criticise Arteta.

That’s why he snatches at a part of a comment because it makes him feel big. God knows what the meltdown will be like when Arteta does an Arteta later in the season. Of course a couple of years down the line when we’ve got a new manager (prayer to the Football Gods – please let it be Luis Enrique) who’s won stuff and plays good football (more than a couple of times a season) he’ll be one of those who does the “I knew all along that Arteta was a full of shit” or “Arteta was a necessary step to get us where we are today”.

They really sound like a highly deluded Spud’s fan I used to work with years ago who’d argue the Tottenham where genuinely the best team in the PL even thought they’d finish mid table.

    Heard the news?

Your political idol Nigel Farage is reffing tomorrow’s game at the Bridge. He’s going to start by red carding all the non white, non Ingerlish players on both teams in recognition of his racist past and present. Looks like three easy points for us. Declan Rice, Max Dowman and Ben White against err, no one whatsoever in Chelsea’s mega international squad. Tony Attwood on VAR.

The old neo nazi cunt couldn’t do a worse job than Oliver right?

    Kroenke

Sorry mate Chelsea are going to wheel Fat Frank and John Terry out – we’re doomed!

    KP
My question to you would be and i would be interestedto hear your opinion as you were so vocal previously…..what happens when Tottenham’s self professed “Yid Army” are due to play at Villa park as you were in total agreement of the total ban on Maccabi’s Yid Army from attending a European tie a few weeks back.
Surely the ban opens up a can of worms as Tottenham’s Yid Army have a history of hooliganism far worse than Maccabi’s, especially as reported the ban on Maccabi’s fans were based on false hooligan claims from West Midlands Police in a confidential dossier that when Maccabi played Ajax in Amsterdam last year, Israeli fans threw “innocent members of the public into the river”, and added that between 500 and 600 supporters had “intentionally targeted Muslim communities”.

this the reply from the Netherlands police force.

“the Netherlands’ national police force has questioned the claims, reportedly describing information cited by its British officers as “not true” and in some instances obviously inaccurate.

Sebastiaan Meijer, a spokesman for the Amsterdam division, told The Sunday Times that he was “surprised” by allegations in the West Midlands Police report, which had linked 200 travelling supporters to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF).

Mr Meijer denied that his force had such intelligence, adding that the claim was meaningless given the country had a policy of conscription.

Also, Mr Meijer said that Amsterdam’s force “does not recognise” the claim in the British report, attributed to Dutch law enforcement, that Israelis were “highly organised, skilled fighters with a serious desire and will to fight with police and opposing groups”.

Surely if the west midlands police wish to be consistent they would ban any fans with a history of hooliganism, unless of course there is another reason for banning Maccabi….I think we all know what that is don’t we.

Easy one. Too easy. Spurs play in the PL whether we like them or not. They’ve paid their dues. Not all of their fans are utter scum in the way that Maccabi’s travelling Zionist extremists are. Spurs don’t go to Amsterdam and cause widescale street violence. In actual fact, they get on rather well with Ajax supporters for the reasons you clumsily hint at. Last time I checked a map (and unfortunately had to visit the place) Tel Aviv isn’t even in Europe so why the fuck are they allowed to potentially come to multicultural cities like Brum and foment hatred in the midst of a Euro football tournament? Are you out of your mind? Still you’re in great ideological company thinking that the Tel Aviv fans should have been allowed to come to the UK and terrorise (yes, I understand what the word means) people. Yes, your mates in the Labour Party, ie Starmer, Spud fan Lammy and the equally dim witted Lisa Nandy all thought our own police were wrong to ban their extremist violent fans. So once again you’re on the wrong side of the argument.

No mention of Farage in your reply. Hmm…your reluctance to criticise him forces me to conclude that you’re rather proud of his past and present racism. Extremism and bigotry are a fucking stain on our inequal, already divided society. How did we come to this?

In the meantime, those N17 cunts are losing 2 nil to ‘one ‘f’ in Fulham’. I’m delighted but I’m not planning any pogroms or crusades over the news. You should be ashamed of yourself tacitly supporting Farage given all the non-white, non-English heroes we’ve had over the years as well as the likes of McLintock, Adams, Alan Smith and Declan.

  12. Marc

    Wicksy

Birmingham has a large Muslim population the ban on the Maccabi fans was nothing to do with hooliganism – it was the Birmingham police pandering with massive support from a terrified Labour Government to anti semitism. For all the rather unpleasant referrals to Tottenham’s connections to being Jewish they’re not seen as actually being Jewish by the people who have been protesting for the last couple of years.

Its disgusting that we’ve actually allowed the concept of a “no go area” for an ethnic group to happen and gain political support from a UK Government.

Socialist’s are incapable of admitting their hatred of Jews – the proof is how Kroenke will respond to this comment. On this one please take my advice and don’t waste your breath on arguing with someone who will not condemn the rape, murder and kidnapping of young girls on Oct 7th.

  13. Kroenkephobe

Diplomacy in action. Marc and Wicksy can find agreement in an extreme right wing vision, shared by their cunty allies in the Labour party that suggests we ought to have more Zionist extremists on our streets. Hey lads, why get Starmer to turn Birmingham or Leicester into a European gaza strip so that the UK can carry out genocide against its own citizens?

My work is done, save for getting Aitcho and Vieira on the same page about Arsenal…

You are two Daily Mail reading, kool aid drinking extremist motherfuckers. I salute you. An axis of evil on LiR.

  14. Kroenkephobe

    Marc

You ignorant, naive, hateful berk. Look up the difference between anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism. I guarantee you’ll be the wiser for it. You sound like a twat sometimes.

  15. Wicksy

    Totally agree Marc..

  16. Wicksy

I wonder how long it will be before Mikkel Damsgaard goes to a top club, he is going under the radar at Brentford but his technique and vision is up there with the best.

This is for you Wicksy. The cunt on your clip is a racist enema who failed to make it in the mainstream so resorted to hate. About as funny as suppurating haemorrhoids.

Stewart Lee, by clear contrast, appeals to brighter people who appreciate satire and can easily skewer people with racist ideologies like yours. Look at the clip and see if it resonates inside that reactionary chasm between your ears. See? I’ve just rubbished you and Andrew Lawrence because I read more than you and have a deeper understanding of issues beyond simple hatred and division and the zeitgeist that is rampant race hate and its normalisation in Ingerland these days.

I don’t want to hear you coming on here any longer crapping on about how good our foreign and domestic non white players (and manager!) are when you clearly want an exclusively white Ingerlish future for the UK. You can’t hold both positions of being a white supremacist and an Arsenal fan. To anyone with a modicum of sense, racism and Arsenal are mutually exclusive.

I suspect, but have no proof, that you and your newly bromantic relationship with foreign sounding Marc was borne out of being simultaneously pissed up last night in your cosy home counties Barratt boxes. Just remember Wicksy. Having a few drinks doesn’t make you a bigot…you are one without resorting to a few pints and sadly always will be.

    Sad Farage fanboy.

  18. Kroenkephobe

Damsgaard is Danish – you know that right? Surely your isolationist, xenophobic beliefs require him to fuck off back to Copenhagen in a rowing boat because he’s a bacon, butter and Danish pastry eating, fairy tale writing Scandinavian snowflake from a country with far better public services and less inequality because they tax people properly. He ain’t ingerlish so he can fucking do one right?

When it comes to racism and xenophobia, you cannot have your gateau and be allowed to eat it. One out, all out, eh Wicksy? Nigel will think you’re going soft for praising foreigners.

  19. NORG

KP Denmark is a nice place (a bit cold in winter ) Famous for their bacon but not so famous for their farm husbandry which is poor. In my early twenties I had a Danish girlfriend – she came from the island Samso (Samsoo). Her best friend’s father was the largest farmer on the island with 300sows that never saw the light of day. They each lived in a tiny area and their days were spent lying on a concrete floor.
