The journey, here, started on March 04, 2021 out of frustration of whatever was going around the club at that time with She wore, she wore. I have been critical of the manager, players, strategy, football and probably everything and everyone but today’s not the day. WE ARE CHAMPIONS OF ENGLAND. The season is over, we finished with 85 points on the board; City finished 2nd with 78 points and they did give us some nervy weeks towards the end but the boys believed in themselves and one-nil-to-the-Arsenal every week made sure we don’t make it 4 seasons in a row without a trophy.
It’s BIG. The last time we won the league, Patrick Vieira was still the captain, Henry was scoring goals for fun and we were crowned the Invincibles. It’s been 22 years man, and the later part of those years have been very painful. Credit where it’s due, the players and the manager did what we couldn’t for last 22 years. I don’t care about the football, I don’t care if we have spent a billion dollars today, and I don’t care if Declan Rice played some games at the right back. Ask any of those 19 other teams, and they would happily switch places. Ask any of those 19 team’s fans, and they will die to be in our place.
And, it was lovely to see Declan, Saka, Eze and Timber celebrate the win outside Emirates, 5 in the morning with the fans. Rice was snapping selfies for the fan, after letting them know who they have just seen. I didn’t witness London in person, but I am pretty sure it was the reddest (if that’s a word) in a while. Wrighty did the same, celebrated like a fan with other fans.
We were destined to win this. And we won. Everything else can wait but not the celebrations. I hope you guys are still not in your senses. There’s still a job to be done, and Champions Of England can be replaced with Champions Of Europe but we will see. It’s for the next week to worry, I am still in the winning mood.
Right, that’s me done for today. I started following football since college, about 16 years now and haven’t seen us lift a trophy till this week. My little one is 6 months old and is already singing –

I have couple of friends from London complaining about the heat there, so you guys take care and stay hydrated..
But fucking hell, 34 degree max is not hot. We are living here in 47 degrees, air conditioning is hardly making any difference and kidneys are filtering thrice the amount of water it ‘should’ filter per day.
We really have fucked up the planet, we do. Each year, it’s worse than the previous one.
And, someone should let those Nvidia, ChatGpt and AI cunts know that you can’t ask ChatGpt to lower the planet’s temperature.

And the politicians? Worse lots than those greedy fucks. Govt of India allowed the corporates to mine Aravali Hills – a 650 km stretch of mountains, which protects the rest of India from the heat waves from the desert side of Rajasthan.
And the people? Burning leftover crops each year because fuck the other way of disposal. Keeping 3 cars inan family of 2, wasting energy, water.

The mining companies will be mining Cu, Zn & Pb and other metals. The tailings will also contain arsenic which is usually associated with these metals. Leachate will then get into water courses which will then get into the population. It is possible to treat tailings to avoid this catastrophe but mining companies and officials couldnt (as Art would say) give a fuck – life is cheap.

Watching Rocky from his debut until sold was a joy however we noticed he had increased his muscle which gradually slowed him down. Kevin Campbell had the same problem. I wonder if the players were in charge of their own physical training at the time – unlike now where diet and training methods are strictly controlled by the club. TA regularly used weights for his right arm – lifting a glass.

I spent few months at my village. People have become greedy, the gardens have been cut down for cash crops. Traditional Neem and Peepal trees which can keep surroundings cooler have been cut down for those leafless commercial wood trees for money and any un-utilised (which was a lot in my childhood) have been plowed for growing tomatoes and potatoes for extra income.
Mangoes planted by my grandfather are gone, there’s corn plantation happening in that field. One of the guava trees was so old it was named after my great grandfather and I have fond memories of my childhood eating from it – is now gone.

Humans are fucking selfish. Getting rid of old, non-GMO fruits to earn money, and using that money to buy GMO, pesticides treated fruits.

Very interesting to read that exchange. I cannot imagine how tough it is to function every day in those temperatures. I once spent an afternoon in a small village in Iraq about 50 miles from Baghdad and the thermometer reached 50 in the latter part of the afternoon. It was a hostile place in every sense. I was lucky that I was able to get into an air-conditioned car for the journey back into northern Iraq. Keep cool boys…and keep those stories about life in India coming. 🇮🇳
If there’s one thing we lead the world at in the UK its complaining about the weather.
I love the sunshine but not excessive heat, a couple of the days we’ve had over the last week have been far too much – fuck knows how anyone functions in the temperatures you get in India.
A serious sidenote on the environmental comments is the UN’s recent admission that the RCP 8.5 numbers that have been the basis of many of the doomsday scenarios we’ve been told for years now are “implausible”.
If you keep telling people they’re going to die tomorrow because of a disaster and then they don’t they stop listening even when there’s a real threat.
Far too many (not all) in the environmental lobby are more interested in destroying capitalism than using technology to find solutions that protect the environment and give people a better standard of living.

I’d question whether the Chinese Government even gives a fuck about its own rank and file. It’s not as if they have to waste time they’d prefer to spend on getting rich by appealing to voters. That said, they’re currently miles ahead of the west on renewables and because they own the oil markets and means of production in their own country, they’re not subject to the lies spread by the hydrocarbons industry in the west which distorts the picture when it comes to energy.

I must say that Hakimi’s current inury status and the fact that Dembele isn’t fully fit gives me a little more confidence going into the final…from a style of play and managerial standpoint they should be the favoured side, but in a one-off format anything can happen…I might think differently if we were struggling defensively, but with our MVP in goal and our world-class CB tandem we could find ourselves on the right side of a low-scoring affair…I certainly can’t envision a repeat of last years one-sided final…Cheers

Tonight’s game will be all about the fine margins , last season the fine margins went in PSG’s favour but we did create enough quality chances over the 2 legs to give us hope for tonight.
I can see it going to extra time and possibly penalties, an area where we should feel confident with the likes of saka, havertz , Rice , odegaard , Eze and Gyokeres who are all very good and confident from the spot.
