Chelsea, with their new front three – J P Morgan (yeah, they came up with that shite) and a new manager Xabi Alonso, are visiting us today at Emirates in our first real test of the season. We had an easy win against Coventry, and managed to beat Aston Villa 1-0 at their home turf. Chelsea would be a real test to see how much we have come forward, and whether Arteta will be bold enough to play an attacking game or play with more caution.
We have Timber and Saliba unavailable for today, so Konsa might make his first start today. Ben White should keep his place at RB. MLS hasn’t done anything wrong to lose his place to Zubimendi or Guimaraes, but I won’t be surprised if he sits on the bench for this one. Saka and Tzolis will start, but seeing Havertz starts up front pains me a little. If the rumours are to be believed, Gyokeres is sitting on the bench because of the extra weight he had put after winning the league, but if that’s not so, I would rather see him miss chances than Havertz.
This game is very important, we have to play the next game in the Champions League against Napoli, away from home and we surely would want to travel with a win and some confidence.
Chelsea front 3 has been a success so far for Alonso. Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro and Morgan Rogers have scored 5 goals and 4 assists together in their 2 games. They probably won’t have Caicedo to start today, so that’s a relief. We will have some defensive works to do, and the midfield battle to win. Some of the pundits believe Chelsea will be the one to challenge for the title, but I highly doubt that. These same pundits were shouting for Tottenham last season.
The thing is, we have a lot to do this season. With only 1 proper left winger who is new to the league, and a make shift CF who is preferred over a traditional striker. We will be playing twice every week and there’s not just the Premier League to be won this season. We have eyes on some more – Champions League, Carabao Cup, FA cup. Not dropping points towards the beginning will give us the cushion to rotate and risk resting players when they will need the rest.
Right, that’s me done. I’m hoping for a win today, with a strike from Saka and another one from a defender, Gabriel is my favorite. See you during the game.

the second-half should favour us, as we’re presently a deeper side and Chelsea has faded in the final 45 so far this season
Now that’s a beautiful goal from Odegaard. 2-1, we can score some more..
#COYG
Ode and Havertz both hitting the net in the same match must be some sort of record…I will say that I think the WC has reinvigorated Ode, which is a very positive development
TRVL
I will eat that humble pie happily if Ode keeps doing what has done today.
Havertz incidentally reverted to type.
So Ambarish can continue with your succulent kebabs
New players coming in
Apparently just ignoring El B gesticulating bytes . Maybe some nonsense as they perceive.
El B is all about building up self like an inflated balloon
Hoopah
No pies for Havertz, I want Gyokeres over him.. pie was for Odegaard 😀
😂😂
Nice banter
Goes well with game time drinks
Flaring Nostrils saving our bacon
Estevao was a nice buy . The fighter is set
firing up the team . Even the prima dona Palmer got his arse moving upwards instead of of lazy back pass to sender
Deserved come from behind win against a better and nastier Chelsea team than we’ve seen in recent years. Second half a bit attritional and tense, but Raya, Tsolis, Ode and -gulp – Havertz played well. Tough game.
2 points should be awarded to Raya..
And J P Morgan was liquidated.

Great game of football, Chelsea are a good side but still couldn’t beat us despite being given a goal start.
Havertz was the difference , superb goal and a great dummy for the 2nd, led the line brilliantly, I did say pre season that a fit Havertz will show his worth…
2P
Havertz (G) Rice (A)
Odegaard (G) Tzolis (A)
It was an exciting game I must say. I was a bit nervous towards the end but Raya did well and though the first goal was a bit scrambled, second one was from a beautiful play. We beat one of the teams that thinks they are going to compete for the title. 9/9 points and we go into a Champions League game.
Let us not forget that two of our starters are not even on bench due to injuries. The only thing I shall say wasn’t upto the mark was Tzolis. He looks a slower Martinelli is all.
Some very rudimentary algebra…
‘As I said previously’ + ‘I did say preseason’ =
Lying, unreadable bullshit
NORG
2P.
Much more minimalist that usual. Second Place? The value of Chelsea’s squad? Piss Poor?
Can you elaborate mate? Hope you enjoyed the game. I thought we did OK overall.

‘Havertz did show his worth’ I couldn’t my reply. I am probably miles out but I detect a bit of player power on show. They seem to have thrown off their shackles (the man in Black).
