12-points lead? v Bournemouth

Right, we are out of Carabao Cup and FA Cup, but not everything is lost. We are 11 points clear of Man City in Premier League and we can take that lead to 12 points if we beat Bournemouth today. City do have 2 games in hand, but if they win both, we will still have a 6 point lead with only 6 games left for the season. In Champions League, we have a 1-0 advantage against Sporting and the second leg is at home. If we managed to get at least a draw, we will be playing Atletico (most likely) in the semi finals. I would rather play Atletico than Flick’s Barcelona.

The chance of lifting a trophy is still a possibility. And a win today will improve that possibility even more. Bournemouth are sitting in the bottom half of the table, and I hope we don’t shoot ourselves in the foot today.

Playing XI is out and I still don’t understand what has gotten into Arteta’s mind.

Why is Martinelli in the playing XI when you have Hincapie available. It’s not the time to be concerned about the injuries, because a loss in any of the games could mean a title. I’m OK with rest of the selection, Eze could have played ahead of Havertz but I’m not sure how much of his fitness is back.

I don’t understand the fact that we spend more than 250m on midfielders (Rice, Zubimendi, Norgaard, Havertz, Odegaard) and yet, we always have 2 DM-profile players and an option to choose from a non-performing Odegaard with a out-of-form Havertz. Anyway, that shouldn’t be a problem for a team sitting on 1st, playing against a bottom half team I suppose.

We need to win today. Man City has to visit Chelsea tomorrow and though I don’t have much confidence in Chelsea beating them, anything can happen. In last 3 seasons, we have always been the favorites going into last 7-8 games but have given it away. There are 7 games left, and 7 test of whether we have learned something over the years.

Right, game starts in an hour. See ya.

We should sell Odegaard, even if it’s 5m. Havertz, Merino should go as well. And we should get 2 proper attacking midfielders.

Declan Rice shouldn’t move to the opposition half ever again. He is a DM.

Also, go and get a manager who doesn’t do this possession -based shite. To get rid of this cunt, I wouldn’t mind Wenger back.

  2. Ambarish K

Oh, and just ask the new manager if Martinelli would be allowed to move centrally. If not, sell him too.

Watched Emery today, when Sunderland got it back to 3-3.

He never panicked, didn’t blame the referees , the players the fans.

He was steadfast, focused on winning the game and he did.

Class act and a brilliant coach.
And he has been working with dog dirt all season

    Compare to this moronic cunt.

EL-B is preparing for his trophy celebration of finishing 4 times in a row as runner ups. With that comes the title as the nearly coach (he is not a manager because that is an insult to existing managers). Like shit sticks to the sole of a shoe and stinks so does 2nd best or nearly stick to Arteta and gives off a putrid, nauseating smell.

Here is an Athletic article on what a competent manager can do in just 5 months from 15th to 5th with possible CL games next year if Spain gets the 5th spot.

nothing is done yet, but you have to favour City to win it all now, even though we have a much easier run-up…I agree with Killroy regarding the removal of Eze instead of Ode or Havertz, as neither really have goals in their respective boots…let’s remember we didn’t actually score a goal, we were gifted one by Dumbarumma, so at the end of the match our best chance takers should have been on the pitch…the fact that this manager has wasted so many resources on players who can’t get it done when it matters most should be a sackable offence, especially if he cocks things up again…no one has ever finished 2nd 4 times in a row…loser fucks like Achoo would have you believe that’s some sort of remarkable accomplishment…regardless if we win or not we’ve seen enough now to know that MA’s thin margins plans aren’t worth the price of admission

The thing is Arteta isn’t even a pretty bridesmaid’s he’s a butt ugly fat slag who makes Angela Raynor look classy.

I really can’t get my head round why so many Arsenal fans rate him – the only answer is “Spuditus” has gone airborne and is now infecting Arsenal supporters as well as Spuddies.

Fortunately I have an impressive immune system.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we never even scouted Cherki, as we were too busy trying to secure the midfield tandem from possibly the least offensively-minded club in Europe at that time, Sociedad…tbf Merino is a far better weasel option than Havertz, as he’s cheaper, good with headers and can be deployed as a serviceable midfielder

meanwhile we have supposed fans like Pricksy & Achoo who’ve spoken glowingly about the offensive possibilities of having Havertz tucked in behind VG, like that would be some sort of impossible duo to mark…two questions on that, why would you waste two spots on two bang average final third players, instead of taking that money and bringing in one actual clinical finisher, and who the fuck is going to provide them with service, as you know Rice & Zubi are always going to be on the pitch and they’re not unlocking any quality sides…it’s not a coincidence that our goals have dried up ever since our set piece/own goal luck has run out…even today our only tally today was own goal-esque

It was a game that we had a bit of luck early on but then it deserted us in the 2nd half .
The Mancunian Ref was decent enough first half but then reverted to type and gave Arsenal sweet fa 2nd half, to not give the blatant foul on Hincapie as he was cutting in towards the goal late in the game was dubious to say the least.
Taking Eze off was a strange one as was keeping Odegaard on, Havertz showed today that he is a better option up top than gyokeres for the final few games , yes he missed a couple of gilt edge chances but his general all round play and movement was good
At least all the talk about this game is out of the way so the title will be probably down to who scores the most goals until the end of the season.
There were more plusses than minuses today , though of course the biggest minus was losing the game , confidence wise we should go into the final games with confidence , hopefully saka will return as we certainly miss him as he gives us good balance..
I must say I’m looking forward to the title run in and Europe , it’s a pity that Arsenal have a minority of uneducated entitled fans who prefer the team to fail than succeed…

right on cue…once everyone leaves the building our resident tin foil fuck shows up and gives his know-nothing takes, which included his usual ref-dependent excuses…get your head out of Achoo’s asshole you rinse and repeat fucktard

Don’t be a cunt – if the ref was favouring City Gabriel would have rightly been shown a red card for violent conduct.

Tell me what would the consequences of losing Gabriel for 3 matches be?

We have always had huge numbers of soppy, sentimental, unambitious slags amongst the fan base.

Thats why we always live on scraps of success. Always have done. And always will do.

Its why Real Madrid supporters watch Mbappe and Manchester City have Haaland and we watch that long gormless streak of Chelsea piss up front every week.
Or the Swiss no hoper who is fixated with his hair. ( cunt)

We could have had Maradona, Zidane , Ronaldo, Ibramhovic etc
    But we are fucking gutless.

    Always have been.
And its comes from the likes of Wicksy and his ilk.

Basically thats why we have given a moronic cunt , who has never managed before 6 seasons and a billion to spunk on duds.

Can you imagine any other fucking serious clubs doing this?

  13. The Real Vieira Lynn

Marc—just shows you how these brainwashed fucks operate…even MA didn’t lean into that familiar refrain in his post-match presser…that said, he did try to use the old “we’re playing more games than everybody else” excuse, which is kind of a fucktard take as City has played just as many until the most recent CL round…at least he didn’t try to suggest that we dominated the match and deserved all 3

  14. The Real Vieira Lynn

AF—I know it all too well, as I’ve been excommunicated from several online blogs as a result of my constant chiding of those pantywaist fucks…I’m not interested in settling or lowering my standards so some make-a-wish manager can live out his largely delusional dreams…he certainly isn’t giving us a hometown discount when it comes to his pay package…the most ironic part is that many of the very same people who once said we’ll never again allow the interests of the manager to come ahead of those of the club, are now propping-up our current poor man’s version of Wenger…at least when it was Wenger, he had earned the benefit of the doubt for a brief period following the move, whereas this fuck has done nothing but spend recklessly and provide a boring as fuck product…Cheers

The yellow for gabriel was the right call , haaland pushed gabriel and then walked towards him and put his head on to Gabriel’s who in a non violent way pushed his head towards haaland.
If we are talking about reds it should have been when Havertz would have been clean through if the defender hadn’t of pulled him down , but I suppose we don’t want to talk about that or the fact that Haaland had hold of Gabriel’s shirt for at least 3 seconds when scoring the winner, fair enough if the ref didn’t see it but our players need learn how to influence a ref and on that occasion they should have been demanding var to have a look instead of just accepting their fate.
Anyway it’s nice to see you all so pleased with the outcome , for me it just makes the title run in very exciting , unless of course it does all go completely tits up , though I doubt that will happen.

“the fact that this manager has wasted so many resources on players who can’t get it done when it matters most should be a sackable offence”

The most important game of the season and your £64m striker that you bought 9 months ago is sitting on the bench. A 16 year old player doing exciting trickery on the right side sits on the bench rather then the Chelsea reject being on the bench. It is painful to see our club being dragged through the media, but after the pain comes the recovery when this cancerous growth of a coach will be lopped off and joy will be experienced again.

The atmosphere of the Real Sociedad fans in the Sevilla stadium after they won the Copa Del Rey was mesmerizing. Real Arsenal fans deserve the same.

  17. Art Fraud

Real Sociedad now winning trophies after they sold their shite to us for millions.

    Well done Cunt.
    Cunt.

  18. The Real Vieira Lynn

Marc—can you even fathom what the Prickster is even talking about…Gabs clearly did a headbutting motion, which has typically resulted in a red regardless of it’s actual impact, Havertz flopped like the clown he is and Gabs destroyed Haaland’s jersey, so much so he had to rip his gear off and replace it…it’s like this fuck is watching completely different matches…of course, we know that City likewise employed some dark arts of their own but nothing on the level of our squad this season…if they were to create a list of the top 10 floppers in the PL we would have 4 or 5 guys on that list, with Havertz, Merino, Noni and VG vying for the top 3 spots…clearly it’s a central component of MA’s set piece/own goal/flopping for free kicks masterplan

  19. The Real Vieira Lynn

Killroy—MA was just pulling a Wenger, as VG was never his guy…he’s MA’s Lucas Perez…if it weren’t for Havertz and Merino’s injuries VG would have significantly less minutes…of course, none of that justifies him not starting today in such a crucial affair…VG would have definitely potted at least two of those grade A chances that Havertz failed to capitilize on

as for Sociedad, they’ve really found their stride since firing Francisco in December and replacing him with someone who had top flight experience…what a novel hiring approach…when Merino and Zubi were there they were the most boring team in Spain and maybe the whole of Europe…Cheers

Waiting for MOTD analysis but those calling the game as well as the ESPN-FC pundits all agreed that Gabriel was very lucky to stay on the pitch. That he stayed on the pitch should blunt the argument that the ref was biased with everyone except the delusional Kool Aiders of which there are two on this blog.

On Wednesday City on top of the table at least until Saturday and then fear sets in again as the fire has extinguished or turned into a dumpster fire.
