Right, we are out of Carabao Cup and FA Cup, but not everything is lost. We are 11 points clear of Man City in Premier League and we can take that lead to 12 points if we beat Bournemouth today. City do have 2 games in hand, but if they win both, we will still have a 6 point lead with only 6 games left for the season. In Champions League, we have a 1-0 advantage against Sporting and the second leg is at home. If we managed to get at least a draw, we will be playing Atletico (most likely) in the semi finals. I would rather play Atletico than Flick’s Barcelona.
The chance of lifting a trophy is still a possibility. And a win today will improve that possibility even more. Bournemouth are sitting in the bottom half of the table, and I hope we don’t shoot ourselves in the foot today.
Playing XI is out and I still don’t understand what has gotten into Arteta’s mind.

Why is Martinelli in the playing XI when you have Hincapie available. It’s not the time to be concerned about the injuries, because a loss in any of the games could mean a title. I’m OK with rest of the selection, Eze could have played ahead of Havertz but I’m not sure how much of his fitness is back.
I don’t understand the fact that we spend more than 250m on midfielders (Rice, Zubimendi, Norgaard, Havertz, Odegaard) and yet, we always have 2 DM-profile players and an option to choose from a non-performing Odegaard with a out-of-form Havertz. Anyway, that shouldn’t be a problem for a team sitting on 1st, playing against a bottom half team I suppose.
We need to win today. Man City has to visit Chelsea tomorrow and though I don’t have much confidence in Chelsea beating them, anything can happen. In last 3 seasons, we have always been the favorites going into last 7-8 games but have given it away. There are 7 games left, and 7 test of whether we have learned something over the years.
Right, game starts in an hour. See ya.

Ben White I understand.
Trossard hasn’t looked at the races lately.
Could be Ode going off and Eze into the middle?
That’s a straight red for Gabriel for violent conduct.
Very lucky boy.
We are losing this now. We might go on and win the title still, but it would be a fluke from here.
We don’t deserve to win title with the performances we have shown throughout the seasons. 3 points are 3 points, fine but most of them have been set pieces and boring football.
I haven’t seen us lifting the premier league trophy ever since I started watching football. It means a lot to me but we didn’t deserve it if we win in next one month.
That is why Havertz isn’t good enough in a nutshell.
Ambairsh
Don’t worry mate – we’ve got the foundations of a very good team that under a proper manager will win multiple league titles and our first CL.
All you need to do is 1) Hate Arteta 2) change your little girls name to Luis Enrique (your better half will be fine with it trust me).
And then next season without the CUNT we’ll all of the above plus good football.
Could have been worse
Fortunately the ref seemed well disposed towards Arsenal . Actually after the head butt Gabriel should have got a red in any other circumstances given his earlier run up .
VAR was not deployed ?
Arteta can take Havertz with him.
I don’t think even Cristiano would be good enough in this system.
Players are not the problem. System is. Manager is.
I don’t think the likes of Eze, Martinelli, Gyokeres, Saka, Rice, Madueke are not enough to win a title after 9 point lead.
Odegaard was shite and will remain so.
How ironic that he scored that insanely fortuitous early one, with the help of Dumbarumma, but couldn’t pot a single one of the 5 grade A chances he was provided with…you don;t pay that kind of money for someone who puts in a shift, you do that for someone with some cutting edge…what a clown, just like his number one fan Achoo
TRVL
Missing that last header was criminal.
Hoopah—i never bought into the whole tin foil hat officiating conspiracy theory, but you have to admit we get the majority of the calls nowadays…we’ve flopped several times today, plus the “headbutt”, and got every advantage from the refs…which isn’t to suggest City didn’t employed a similar tact at times
Marc—it might have been the cleanest header he’s ever struck, which speaks volumes
As Art would say – Havertz is a prize C–t
To our two Kool-Aiders on the blog here, on Wednesday when City will go top of the table you may kneel and kiss the ring of the ITK LiDs like TRVL and others on this blog to our eternal glory and to your and Arteta’s miserable existence!!!
If City beat Burnley by two clear goals they will be league leaders.
Killroy
Not sure how much more will see of them until we win a match or City drop points.
Cunt.
Taking Eze off and leaving Ode on shows you how clueless our MiT is when it comes to attack. Josh are you watching your liability fuck up our club and your investment. Grow balls and rid us of that CUNT!

All the talk is if Arteta doesn’t win a major trophy this season he’s gone.
We won’t get past Atletico in the semi’s and the PL is there for City to take.
A few more weeks and we can start the conversation of who will replace Arteta and how many lashes each of the fanboys need to be cured of their ridiculous support of the CUNT.
