St Totteringham’s Day – paint the town red!

Arsenal Flag

Well, I am day late to wish you a happy St Totteringham’s Day. As things stand, we have 75 points and Spu*s have 53. With only 6 games left for them, it’s mathematically impossible for them to finish above us now. It’s a shame we are celebrating it after 2015-16 season but long it may continue.

And Newcastle 6-1 win today was just the cherry on the cake. Truth be told, the cake is full of cherries. Conte’s press conference were joy to watch. We beat them at home, we beat them at their home and we are 22 points ahead of them.

The only time Mourinho didn’t win a trophy with a club was with Spu*s. Conte has winner mentality but it took 8 months for him to ask for a sack. He gave a 30min speech about the players, the manager, the board and the club highlighting how sh*t it’s all is. How the players do not want to take responsibility on the pitch, how the management don’t allow the manager to act his way and why they haven’t won a trophy since god knows when.

At some point, no one wanted to take the managerial position. I was guessing if Daniel Levy will step up himself lol.

So, here’s the deal if you support Spu*s. If you throw away your jersey and buy a Saka #7 shirt, paint your house red and sing these lines 6 times a day, you would be much happier in life.

It happened again,
It happened again,
Tottenham Hotspur,
It happen again.

I’m just kidding with ‘throwing away your jersey’. I’m sure you already have burnt it 😉

  1. Nice one Ambarish nothing like a St Totteringham’s Day to lift our spirits (non alcoholic) for Wednesday’s make or break Title charge.

    Speaking of charges:

    When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
    All the world wondered.
    Honour the charge they made!
    Honour The Arsenal,
    Noble! For London is Red!

I’m sure Lord Tennyson would be flattered, Ambarish. However, above could be all’s that’s left to celebrate by Thursday morning.

However, there is a very slim chance fate and karma shines on us enough to keep the title charge alive.

What dreams and hopes are made of.

City is our Waterloo with Arteta being our Lord Cardigan who sent 600 riding to their doom with only 195 surviving to retreat.

How will Arteta lead our knackered and wounded warriors to win the spoils of the PL?

We know how he shouldn’t lead us where I fear that is the problem, we seem to always know the pitfalls Arteta walks into over and over again.

I’m still 352 for the City game anyone else got formation, tactics and selection ideas to win the City game, Ambarish, with that be your pre game post? How & who with we can beat City?

Hope the Sangria and Paella was top notch and crusty at the bottom. The Paella not Mrs KP. 🙂

Commiserations to Brighton who should have beaten Manure had De Gea not pulled off a worldy again.

  2. Superb piece Ambarish. Poetry in prose. Guess your true red hot Arsenal heart spoke.

Was drinks ( urrack with lemon and soda and lots of ice ) to celebrate.
    Viva
