Xhaka –  surely you’ve heard of me – Sunderland vs Arsenal

Xhaka –  surely you’ve heard of me – Sunderland vs Arsenal

Coventry, completed. Aston Villa, completed. Chelsea, completed. Napoli, completed. Sunderland, is probably the toughest

We have the first real challenge of the season, against Sunderland, away from home. We have already beaten Coventry, Aston Villa and Chelsea. We escaped with a narrow win against Napoli in Champions League, thanks to a late strike from Odegaard.

We only managed a point last season when we played Sunderland on their home ground. They took a lead early in the game but Saka and Trossard’s goals kept us in the lead. It was unfortunate that we conceded in the final minute of the game and Sunderland were more than happy to settle with a draw against the future Champions. We don’t want a repeat of that; I’m sure we would be looking to take the lead and hold onto it till the last minute. I am pretty sure Raya wants to keep a clean sheet.

There have been some new faces in the starting line ups this season, and they haven’t disappointed. Konsa is a brilliant player and we haven’t missed Saliba so far. Ben White is good in doing his job and though Timber is a clear upgrade on him, White is not a bad RB and does what he is asked for. MLS, in the midfield, is keeping Guimaraes on the bench and Tzolis has a dream start of his Arsenal career. Things look great as an Arsenal fan. The only thing to worry about is the Gyokeres treatment from Mikel, Havertz has not been bad so far, but Gyokeres must be wanting his place back.

I think Declan Rice can get the day off, and Bruno G can get his start today alongside the superstar Lewis-Skelly. We are playing against in 3 days in the Carabao Cup and we must keep him fit and well rested. Saka is built differently and I won’t take him off for Madueke, that’s a very big drop in performance.

I was hoping Mikel would give Max Dowman more minutes this season, but apparently he is playing U19 so it’s not going to be today. Ipswich Town in the Carabao cup next could be his moment. Not much worried though, that kid has immense potential and he will make his own way, just like Saka and MLS.

Only 3 games (including today) before we go into the break, and we can win them all. I wanna see some fireworks today, and I wanna see a fight between Bruno Guimaraes and Granit Xhaka, though Xhaka won’t be playing for Arsenal and Guimaraes won’t do his theatric against Arsenal. What a time to be alive, lol.

Right, see you during the game.

By the way, Everton did Spuds dirty by putting Maitland Niles on their poster for today’s game.

Timber vs White is a question of balance.

Timber is certainly better defensively but White gives us more going forward. I always think Saka looks better with White behind him.

Of course when faced with the above what way would Arteta go – defensively of course.

    What a cunt.

‘As I have previously said’, winning the community shield counts as 1 of those 5 competitive matchezzzzzzz……

Lots of draws today. Provided we beat the fake Geordies, it’ll be 2 points gained on all of them.

Xhaka is nowhere near the levels of analogous players in our squad, eg Rice, Bruno, Skelly, Merino and Zubi. It’s the same old recipe: match them for energy and aggression and show some poise and calmness in front of goal and we’ll have enough.

Earlier evening game is one of those rare occasions I want to see those Evertonian wankers get a win.

Moyes give off a sense of being weak and too ready to kow-tow to the bosses at any of the clubs he works at. Their summer transfer business was an abortion.

Is that the lesser spotted Maitlandia of the Niles I see playing at right back?

Arguably, if only he’d listened to whoever the fuck told him he was a right back sold him when AMN disagreed (was it Etsy?), he might still be an Arsenal player…

That Everton kit has got to be one of the worst I ‘ve ever seen.

What are they wearing fucking camouflage?

Arsenal always look the absolute business in that yellow-blue-yellow combination.

Yellow one is my favorite too. Switched ON just now, ans it seems we have gone with the best player in each position. No one gets the rest, fair enough as long as we keep winning. Bruno Gs can wait for their turn.

Benny Blanco learning some handball out there

    Nice chileno from Havertz.

Fucking dirty bastards Scumderland. Remember that tackle on Abou Diaby?

As you said earlier lots of draws today, and I hope we don’t add one to that tally.

    Moaning ersatz Geordie maggots.

Sunderland are showing the rest of the league the blueprint of how to compete with Arsenal , basically press high , pull shirts , steam into tackles and hope the referee is weak , not that I blame Sunderland as they are a very difficult side to beat at their ground, I can see maybe Bruno , timber and Eze coming on early 2nd half as Lewis skelly and Tzolis have been loose in possession.

Sunderland are pressing well but you make out they’re kicking lumps out of us – they’re not.

What’s the bullshit about the ref looking the other way? Arteta’s lucky not to get a second yellow for sarcasm after being booked.

Ben White, MLS off. Bruno G and Tomber are in for 2nd half. Sensible changes, Ben White might have picked up an injury.

  15. Ambarish K

Xhaka slowed down that attack, still got some Arsenal DNA me thinks.

  16. Kroenkephobe

    Fucking scandalous.

  17. Ambarish K

That’s 3 points thanks to Raya, or atleast 1. He saved 2 points earlier.

Fucking yes. Ex Geordie fucks fake Geordies.

    FUCKING GET IN YOU CUNT

  20. Ambarish K

Wow, what a goal after that penalty denial from Raya.

Bruno G, my cunt. Sorry about earlier times.
