‘Did you think you had Eze’ – asked a reporter from Thomas Frank. Thomas, appointed only recently as the manager of a shite club, responded in an attempt to create some humour by asking back –
‘Who is Eze?’
Well, he just scored a hattrick in a NLD after 47 fucking years and by the time 90 mins were done, Spurs fans were already at home, probably sobbing and blaming the cold. If you are one of those and delusional enough to think you own North London, let me just say that even with a 4-1 win, we were more frustrated than you lot because we couldn’t keep a clean sheet. You are used to losses so that was just a regular day for you.
Right, that was a brilliant evening for us Gooners. A 4-1 victory over Spurs, at Home, hat-trick from the man who had almost joined Spurs but the club brought him to Emirates in the last minutes, Saka dancing and fans staying and singing once the match was over. And we did all this without our first choice striker, and our best defensive player while Hincapie started his first game in place of Gabriel. Our captain was missing too.
We took the lead in the 36th minute when Mikel Merino set up a beautiful ball to Trossard who, very precisely, put it into the nets. Eze, doubled the lead in 5 minutes when he put the ball into the nets courtesy of Rice’s assist. We went into the break 2-0 and Frank made some changes hoping he could turn it around. I am pretty sure he is aware of the spursy nature of that team but hey, he is paid enough to at least try. Eze made it 3-0 only 1 minute into the second half, assisted by Timber but that lad was dreaming of something more.
Richarlison scored a good one from far away. When you play a high line and your goal keeper is involved in setting things up, this can happen. I don’t mind it more than Raya, who would be furious to not add this game to another one of his clean sheets. Frank made some more changes but Eze scored his 3rd in the 76th minute and made sure that no one but the red and whites celebrate the day.
Spurs were so shite we didn’t even need to use set pieces to beat them.
We had finished 2nd, three seasons in a row. We lost points in dead games, injuries derailed us and there were some very odd decisions from the manager. This season, we lost our best defender and yet Hincapie finished his 1st full game with a 9.5/10. Odegaard is out injured but Eze comes in and does better. I was doubting Trossard but he has proven that he can play better than Martinelli when he is given a chance. We have a saucy striker who looks adapted now, was out injured but we didn’t miss him. Saka was world class and will remain so.
Now, onto the next game in Champions League tonight against Bayern. Only 3 teams are with a perfect score so far, and two of them are playing each other today. Bayern sits at top of the table with equal points and same goal difference but have scored 3 extra goals than us. That also means we have conceded 3 less than them, in fact, we have conceded fuck-all so far in 4 games in the group stages and Bayern will test that today. We will be without our best CB partnership but Hincapie dropped a bombshell of a performance against Spurs so I am not really bothered.
To finish in top 8 and avoid 2 extra qualifying games later, we have to win at least 6 of the 8 games. After today, we will be playing Club Brugge, Inter and Kairat. Inter Milan is the third team with all wins so far. Frankly, it’s not a do or die situation for us but there’s always some uncertainty in Champions League. We saw Chelsea beating Barcelona last night, and Newcastle losing to Merseille thanks to 2 goals from the ex-Arsenal man, Aubameyang. Anything can happen, so make the most out of what’s in front of you.
Martinelli and Madueke are back in the team. Odegaard might also be available, though I doubt Mikel will bench the hattrick man for him. Mikel, when asked about facing Bayern, had to say this –
For sure, this is the kind of game in the competition that we want to face, and we’ve been very consistent in both competitions; they have been as well, and tomorrow is a great test for us to see where we are.

A very challenging game indeed, and the one which will highlight whether we have progressed to win something of importance of this year. Beat Bayern today and the boys will go home in confidence. Also, there can be only one team sitting at the top and we would love to be the one.
See you during the game.

NORG
As someone who loves our club and has had so many brilliant moments watching Arsenal with mates all over the world, I kind of worked out a long time ago that I would not have been on Wicksy’s list either. So no loss.
Just be aware that the next time he sticks up for Stubborn el Bastardo, he’ll be doing it with one hand tied behind his back because he really wants extremist Ingerland to be foreigner free, whatever the fuck that means in his mind.
KP
I must admit I rarely read the posts by Wicksy & Aitcho. Watching football and posting about it needs an element of fun even if it is criticism of our manager. After spending £1billion and having 6 years in the post he should win the league and we should have been champions already. The mistakes made early in his managerial career are bad but alas timing was on his side as getting rid of Raul was the main interest of Josh.
Vieira may disagree but I think Aitcho’s oeuvre is a million times more readable, erudite and thought-provoking than the other person’s prejudiced and flaccid Atwoodesque ejaculations. Aitcho’s stuff is OK because he provides evidence for his points plus, and it’s a big plus, he goes to games so is seeing it for himself. He could possibly do with a smaller pair of scissors and bucket of glue for all that cutting and pasting he enjoys…
I’m thinking of taking a sabbatical – to paraphrase Oscar Wilde, I won’t be a member of a club that has the execrable Wicksy in it.
Kroenke
You’ve really got to calm down you’re losing the plot. I think Wicksy’s a major tit – and that’s when he’s on one of his very few good days but I haven’t seen him make any racist comments (if I’ve missed them its because I don’t scroll back analyzing every comment on here I’m here for the chat and the banter) but you’re bordering on paranoia – it’s like the flip side of McCarthyism you’re seeing capitalists under the bed (they’re not under the bed they just paid for it – sorry couldn’t help it!).
You really have got to learn if you’re going to throw insults at people they’re going to throw them back – getting offended because someone threw a stone back at you doesn’t make you right it just destroys any position you hold.
KP
Get yourself a job – get involved in something other than football and then events football related seem trivial. If somebody makes a remark make a sarcastic comment that will often have greater effect.
On another matter – policing of games will obviously continue however realistic charges are now going to be brought into line. It is expected to cost premiership clubs an extra 70million GBP per season. I expect there will be a few crocodile tears shed.
Marc
Calm down? Fucking hell mate – your English suburban non-footballing takes get even worse. I’m sat here on a bean bag with a massive spliff listening to some early Cat Stevens. I’ve had a pint of night nurse to wash down a particularly incendiary lentil, polenta and boiled egg curry. Life couldn’t be calmer as I take down the idiots on here. The pen or typing finger is mightier than the sword.
But keep laughably throwing the insults in a patronising way and claiming that someone else is. That’s very much the right wing way. Perfectly on message. Want me to send you some of my lentil ‘surprise’ in a tupperware box? It might help to relieve that 24 hour uptight tension and fear you’re feeling around your fundament.
Peace out, you Milton Freedman wannabe and Elon Musk idoliser! ☮️☯️🕉️. You’ll enjoy being reminded to calm down next time you express your opinions to someone saying something you find egregious.
Fucking aida. Will you lot give it a rest? Find your own peace and quiet. I’m the only sane one on here most of the time (although NORG can usually be relied on to keep things measured).
I’m very active in lots of ways and financially secure so why go back to the world of work?
If you don’t think that our unmentionable friend is a racist then, as that old cunt Pedro used to say on LG, ‘I can’t help you’. Next time he irks the fuck out of one of you (and it’s only a short matter of time before he does, simply ask him about it and he’ll say something mealy mouthed and cowardly like calling someone a racist fucker is an outdated term or, that Farage is misunderstood.
Words matter you ballbags, especially ones that spread hatred and lead to violence.
‘I’m thinking of taking a sabbatical – to paraphrase Oscar Wilde, I won’t be a member of a club that has the execrable Wicksy in it.‘
FFS, don’t do it Kroenkephobe.
You’re the highlights of the comments section for me.
In these white is black, black is white crazy times someone needs to keep the facts straight.

“simply ask him about it and he’ll say something mealy mouthed and cowardly like calling someone a racist fucker is an outdated term or, that Farage is misunderstood.

You won’t find a comment from me calling someone a “racist fucker” or anything close to that ….that’s your department.
Also you won’t find a comment form me saying Farage is misunderstood or anything close to that ….it’s all in your head.
Also you won’t find any comment from me that spreads “hatred and violence ” ….again that is your department.
As for me being a racist , evidence please ….as that’s your department.
Despite all the abuse aimed at me I am willing to forgive KP, he has just got himself a little confused , my advice to him is to listen to his friends Norg and Marc who are also perplexed at his sudden loss of common sense, maybe you have too much time on your hands as you are going stir crazy.
How about taking up golf , gets you out in the fresh air , keeps you fit and healthy, good competition and friendship and excellent banter , I spend at lest 4 days a week on the course with my mainly beautiful Indian friends , maybe you should try it .
Alternately have a joint and get on the ” peace train “.
Kroenke
The only one on here calling anyone racist is you. My comment the other day didn’t throw any insults at you but you play the victim. You take the moral high ground but are all too quick to throw insults at others and the first to take offence if anyone dare chuck something back at you.
I don’t know what’s wrong but you’re getting more and more tightly wound and are beginning to look seriously unbalanced the moment anything outside football comes up.
I assume you’re aware of Godwin’s Law well that’s currently evolving into calling someone a racist as well.
I’m looking forward to your apoplectic response – not that I need my point to be proved.
With absolutely no due respect, I suggest you each go and fuck yourselves… And each other now you’re mysteriously the best of friends.
I’m not going to be gaslighted by the likes of you two. One a racist (go on then Wicksy, here’s your chance to deny it and disavow yourself) and the other an uninformed right wing blowhard.
If you collectively cannot face your own manifest weaknesses as human beings and failures to accept personal truth I don’t give a fuck. You’re both deeply dug into a world of division and negativity and have no instinct for thinking independently. Pricks like you are ten a penny.
And now for something completely different…..football
I rewatched the Chelsea match and I have to say I admired the considerable restraint of the Arsenal players from the intimidation by the Chelsea players.
The chelsea players should be ashamed of their attitude towards madueke when he came on, especially Enzo and cucurella.
And yet we had 6 players booked (from 14 fouls) compared to 1 from chelsea (12 fouls) that will probably land Arsenal with a hefty fine , maybe the league should have another watch of the game and they will see a chelsea team going down on a regular basis as if they had been shot by a sniper in the crowd.
Enzo will follow the footpath of Caicedo if he’s not careful as he was also charging around the pitch Like a mad man, not all refs are as accommodating as Taylor.
Obviously their anger is due to the fact that Chelsea haven’t beaten us for 5 years and is beginning to really annoy them, I can’t wait until they come to the Emirates as they won’t be able to intimidate us there as I can guarantee you that the Arsenal crowd will be waiting.
Brentford tonight and we should see some rotation with villa away on Saturday lunch time…it may be a match to give Rice a rest along with Timber , calafiori, merino and Saka, which is a risk but they’ll be on the bench in case of emergencies.
Hopefully Trossard, jesus and saliba are fit along with gyokeres.
The first goal is important in this kind of game, Brentford’s away form is poor but they are quite dangerous offensively so we must not be too complacent as it’s vital we maintain the 5 point gap at the top, hopefully a match without too much drama….2-0
Kroenke
What you’re looking for is a mirror.
I haven’t insulted you or called you names and you can’t stop doing it. This left wing moral superiority is bullshit you depend on the likes of me to subsidise your pathetic existence – you all work in the public sector because you’re too fucking useless to get a job in the real world.
You need to learn without people like you society is better off – without people like me who pays the fucking taxes to pay for public services. If you were all so fucking clever you’d all fuck off somewhere and create this workers utopia – problem is you’d have no one to do the actual work and no one to take any responsibility.
Arteta going for some serious rotation – can he manage it.
Raya did a brilliant save there..
Are teams targeting Zubi when he has possession deep in our own half? We need to be careful with taking too many risks playing the ball about close to our own box.
Guys, I just went through some of the comments.
I set up london is red as a platform to get away from personal attacks, for a sport, which we all love and cheer. I set it up as a place where you can criticize the club and the manager if you find something wrong; applaud the club and the manager if you find something great.
We all have our own way to watch a game and as always, I request you to keep it like you do with your mate in a pub over couple of Guinness. Soke banters, some disagreements, some abuses to spurs and then go home to repeat it in 3 days.
Lets not get personal. If I assume you all as whites, I have seen more racism in London than you guys can talk about it but that do not stop me to enjoy my team, my players and it doesn’t stop me to criticize anything I don’t like.
Cheers
Marc
I wasn’t pretty sure about Zubimendi, but in recent games he has looked very solid in that midfield. He is more clinical than Partey, and better defensively.
Rice has an advantage over him going forward, but he is doing pretty well. I don’t worry about him these days.

Ben White surely has lost his spark recently?
I haven’t insulted you or called you names and you can’t stop doing it. This left wing moral superiority is bullshit you depend on the likes of me to subsidise your pathetic existence – you all work in the public sector because you’re too fucking useless to get a job in the real world.
Read that again and you’ll sadly conclude you’re an absolute cunt. And deeply stupid to boot. I pay about 5k a year in tax through my private sector income so fuck you.
Quiet day in the wood industry making 10 quid an hour you dimwit? Telling the difference between balsa wood and teak. Or were you measuring 4 by 2s in a shed all day (hint. The name is a clue)?
You sad, suburban, small-minded, splinter suffering, slag. Fuck off.
KP and Marc – you guys are veterans here keeping things together. Come on guys…
