‘Did you think you had Eze’ – asked a reporter from Thomas Frank. Thomas, appointed only recently as the manager of a shite club, responded in an attempt to create some humour by asking back –
‘Who is Eze?’
Well, he just scored a hattrick in a NLD after 47 fucking years and by the time 90 mins were done, Spurs fans were already at home, probably sobbing and blaming the cold. If you are one of those and delusional enough to think you own North London, let me just say that even with a 4-1 win, we were more frustrated than you lot because we couldn’t keep a clean sheet. You are used to losses so that was just a regular day for you.
Right, that was a brilliant evening for us Gooners. A 4-1 victory over Spurs, at Home, hat-trick from the man who had almost joined Spurs but the club brought him to Emirates in the last minutes, Saka dancing and fans staying and singing once the match was over. And we did all this without our first choice striker, and our best defensive player while Hincapie started his first game in place of Gabriel. Our captain was missing too.
We took the lead in the 36th minute when Mikel Merino set up a beautiful ball to Trossard who, very precisely, put it into the nets. Eze, doubled the lead in 5 minutes when he put the ball into the nets courtesy of Rice’s assist. We went into the break 2-0 and Frank made some changes hoping he could turn it around. I am pretty sure he is aware of the spursy nature of that team but hey, he is paid enough to at least try. Eze made it 3-0 only 1 minute into the second half, assisted by Timber but that lad was dreaming of something more.
Richarlison scored a good one from far away. When you play a high line and your goal keeper is involved in setting things up, this can happen. I don’t mind it more than Raya, who would be furious to not add this game to another one of his clean sheets. Frank made some more changes but Eze scored his 3rd in the 76th minute and made sure that no one but the red and whites celebrate the day.
Spurs were so shite we didn’t even need to use set pieces to beat them.
We had finished 2nd, three seasons in a row. We lost points in dead games, injuries derailed us and there were some very odd decisions from the manager. This season, we lost our best defender and yet Hincapie finished his 1st full game with a 9.5/10. Odegaard is out injured but Eze comes in and does better. I was doubting Trossard but he has proven that he can play better than Martinelli when he is given a chance. We have a saucy striker who looks adapted now, was out injured but we didn’t miss him. Saka was world class and will remain so.
Now, onto the next game in Champions League tonight against Bayern. Only 3 teams are with a perfect score so far, and two of them are playing each other today. Bayern sits at top of the table with equal points and same goal difference but have scored 3 extra goals than us. That also means we have conceded 3 less than them, in fact, we have conceded fuck-all so far in 4 games in the group stages and Bayern will test that today. We will be without our best CB partnership but Hincapie dropped a bombshell of a performance against Spurs so I am not really bothered.
To finish in top 8 and avoid 2 extra qualifying games later, we have to win at least 6 of the 8 games. After today, we will be playing Club Brugge, Inter and Kairat. Inter Milan is the third team with all wins so far. Frankly, it’s not a do or die situation for us but there’s always some uncertainty in Champions League. We saw Chelsea beating Barcelona last night, and Newcastle losing to Merseille thanks to 2 goals from the ex-Arsenal man, Aubameyang. Anything can happen, so make the most out of what’s in front of you.
Martinelli and Madueke are back in the team. Odegaard might also be available, though I doubt Mikel will bench the hattrick man for him. Mikel, when asked about facing Bayern, had to say this –
For sure, this is the kind of game in the competition that we want to face, and we’ve been very consistent in both competitions; they have been as well, and tomorrow is a great test for us to see where we are.

A very challenging game indeed, and the one which will highlight whether we have progressed to win something of importance of this year. Beat Bayern today and the boys will go home in confidence. Also, there can be only one team sitting at the top and we would love to be the one.
See you during the game.

Dont hold back – say what you really think.
KP
You missed out corrupt. Why is he cosying up to Putin? If it all goes wrong he may be the new neighbour for the Assads.
NORG
The thing is, it’s all public record. There’s already enough evidence of his paedophilia but when it all comes out, he’ll make Jimmy Saville and Randy Andy look like the Chuckle Brothers.
What we want tonight is a few early goals, keep up the pressure and pressing at least for 70 odd minutes and see where the final quarter takes us. Wolves’s decline is alarming and must be hurting their fans who support a decent club. No dramas, no injuries, no David Liz like Molineux Madness.
They were shockingly poor against Manure. They must’ve been thoroughly demoralised after that defeat, while knowing they face us now.
Whatsdat ?
You mean the worms in the woodwork were listening for a long time without popping out ?
Or another avatar of the minority of one playing at feeling popular ?
KP
Frankly no puzzles there.
Cheers Hoopah
How are you doing mate? I know it’s a late one for you but are you tuning in for the game later?
I’m worried about feeling too relaxed for this. I hope that doesn’t filter down to the players.
It should be a 4-0 win this evening but ‘O cautious one’ might have a conservative approach as always.
A win for wolves would more than double their points tally for the season so far.
KP—I kind of knew that our early season positional dominance in the standings, especially considering the struggles of our closest perceived rivals, would bring some limp-dicked, self-hating, rage baiting trolltards our way…it makes sense…we must seem like an easy mark for those who have once again mistakenly placed the interests of the manager over those of the club…the fact that our conversations extend far beyond the pitch simply provides them with another potential opening to put their Simian traits on full display…of course it doesn’t surprise me whatsoever that these drive-by simpletons tend to be Trump sympathizers…two peas in a fucktard pod…Cheers
Hi Vieira
Yeah, there’s less to ‘Tom’ than meets the eye. I wouldn’t rule out a bit of shape shifting shithousery. If it crawls out from beneath its stone again, the slug pellets will be ready.
Enjoy the game mate.
Can someone please explain to me why against a team who if they were a real animal would be put out of their misery you’d start Timber on the left rather than play Skelly when Calafiori is suspended not injured?
Skelly needs minutes and has been told by Techel that if he wants to go to the World Cup he’s got to be playing so to not start him when the first choice LB is not available just comes across as spite.
this Wolves gig should be a cakewalk…instead of watching in real time I think i’ll head out back and have a tub in the snow…far better usage of my time…there was a time when that would have never entered my mind
Marc—that’s shoehorning 101
TRVL
Don’t say that word!
Its even worse Captain Fuckwit is playing musical chairs in defence.
Why would you move your first choice and one of the best right sided CB’s to the left side, move a player who’s done really well on the left side of CB to LB and your usual RB to right side of CB?
That’s nasty – lucky Skelly saw it coming and was jumping out of the way.
Could easily be a red on another day.
Scorer : Johnstone’s back
Assist: goalpost
Pre assist: Saka
Sack the cunt.
Fucking ridiculous. A throwback to Wengerball.
Kroenkephobe
I realize irony can be lost in translation or when written clumsily, something I’m guilty of quite often. But frankly I was expecting better from you, since I laid it on pretty thick, I thought.
There’s no daylight between us re Trump, or much of anything else, quite possibly.
after the final whistle blew the commentator said something to the effect of ‘the Wolves scored all 3 goals yet somehow they were on the losing end of things’…I guess we now know what MA’s plan B is…it’s only a matter of time before we’ll hire on an “own goal” specialist…considering who we’ve got up top it might be a savvy move
the only thing of note to take from this one, besides the fact that I don’t regret opting for a bake & tub session over watching this pedestrian affair in real time, is that Saka’s clearly a more gifted provider than scorer…as such, we would be wise to seriously contemplate the notion of having him return to the left side, which would enable Noni to play in by far and away his best position…this tandem would be a difficult proposition for any opposing side to contend with, especially if we rejigged our midfield
we should be playing two number 10s against these bus sitting fucks, instead of having both Rice and Zubi on the pitch…for the first time I can remember one of the commentators suggested that we actually deploy Eze along side of Ode and have Rice sitting deep…what a novel idea (sarcasm)…surely this would be a much better plan when it comes to trying to break down these deeper lying sides…instead we rely too much on the likes of Rice or Timber or some other non-scoring fuck to hit the back of the net…it’s a thin margins wet dream out there with our tactically-stunted fucktard in charge
furthermore, VG is well on his way to Chamakhing himself out of the top division, once this misguided experiment inevitably crashes and burns…tbf it’s not of his doing, minus the fact that he mistakenly believed that he was skilled enough to overcome the ill-suited tactics…as a result, we’re going to have to endure an underwhelming rotation of Havertz, Merino and Jesus…speaking of which, it’s terribly sad to think that after spending a Billion+ dollars Merino is somehow our best option, by quite a margin, considering our cross-loving, set piece dependent, blunt instrument selves…What the fucking fuck!!!
Vieira
They didn’t play last night to Gyok’s strengths (again) either did they? He created a decent chance for himself but missed. There appeared no conscious decision to change the plan of attack from time to time, not change the pace and direction. It was all a bit egg-bound. We only looked threatening when the wingers got to the byline by which time plucky little Wolves 🐺🐺🐺had packed the area.
Wolves played above themselves compared to other performances but it was a poor game. One thing the players deserve credit for was grasping the nettle and going straight up their end looking to get ahead again. Thanks to (their) Mosquera, and that final bit of energy, they got a win albeit a bit embarrassingly. It was like a throwback to our Wengerian era…too much left to chance and a complacent attitude to defending them when they finally left their own half. A mad contrast to the display in Belgium.
Three points but one to forget.
On a side note, interesting to see that all three managers at the top of each league have clear Man City connections. Stubborn, Frank Lampshade and the rapidly rising Brian Barry Murphy who has turned my beloved Bluebirds around.
Tom (yeah right!) You’re a thick headed arsehole, not worth bothering with.
