Did you see that? The whole town was red, MLS sobbed for a few seconds and had to clear his nose, Ben White – the legend – dedicated a song to Hincapie, Mikel wore sunglasses, Saka and Martinelli – the OGs of this team – posed together and the best of all, rhe TShirts of all the players read CHAMPIONS.
Declan Rice was singing, “Set piece again, ole ole; set piece again, ole ole”. ‘Hincapie, get your bum out..’ were the words only Ben White can come up with. Dec Rice is a decent guy, with Ole, Ole, Ole, Ben White White…
It was disheartening to lose the Champions League final. And the way we lost it to PSG made it even worse. There are questions being asked, and Mikel is answering why Gabriel was the one taking the crucial penalty when you have Madueke and Zubimendi available but that’s for another day. I would like to celebrate the ‘Premiership’ for some more days, after all, we had the title of 22 fucking years and the best part of it all is, the best is yet to come.
No, I am not giving up. You have to be critical of things in life if you want improvements. And there’s a lot to improve still at Arsenal. You can always get better than yesterday in sports and we won’t let it go the late Wenger years way, not at LiR.
But, we did win the Premiership. Against a club that has been under the radar for cheating. Against a team that went on to spend 200m pounds and got Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez, Khusanov in a January transfer window and still fell short of us. Against another team that is color blind and thinks red is blue. I heard they joined the parade in red and white and were singing rice, rice baby. Sad bunch of the lots.
We finished as runner ups in the Champions League. We lost to the last year Champions and in the penalty shootout. The only one who saved a penalty was David Raya and only if Eze and Gabriel had put it in, we would have 2 trophies on that bus. We played with 10 men during the extra time, Hincapie could hardly move and yet, it was PSG who wanted it to end and go to the shootout. They registered their first shot on target in the 117th minute. So, yeah, we lost but it wasn’t a gran and run for PSG.
Only about 2 months ago, I was frustrated and writing about us getting ousted from the Carabao and FA cup in 15 days. The last 15 days however were totally different because we saw us lifting the Premier League trophy, ending the Champions League run as runner ups, and an open bus parade painting London in red as if the communists are back.
Could we have done better? Yes – but then PSG could have done better too. No shame in losing in penalty shootout, we will go again next season and with a better preparation. The next time we go into the competitions, we will have a team who knows what it takes and will have experience of winning a trophy.
I have been a critic of the Mikel regime. I will also be critical in the coming season(s), but for now, thanks to the club, manager, players for giving everything they could to lift the trophy. We did it.
Right, that’s all for today. Hope you are back in your senses if you were part of that parade.
If you were part of the parade, Champions League final or the last day of the Premier League and have some pics which you don’t mind sharing with me, please send it to bloggingwithmb@gmail.com. I’m already preparing for the next season.
Also, fuck the Spurs.

“ btw Rogers has been deployed the most as a left winger…I know you detest facts but before you try to critique me why don’t you at least do your due diligence “
You are highlighting your ignorance of the game by suggesting that Rogers has been deployed the most as a left winger, anyone who knows and understands the game would recognise that Rogers plays centrally and his stats will tell you exactly that .
I don’t even need to do any due diligence on this as, unlike you, I know and understand the game , Rogers has played the occasional game on the left, probably 1 in 4 at best, but it is obvious that he is predominantly either an 8 or a 10 , of course I can explain these positions in full if as it appears you are having trouble understanding the intricacies of the game.
Vera
“ maybe you should tell your manager to stop buying robot fucks so that he can micromanage any instinctive flair out of the game.”
He is your manager as well as mine and he won the league by as you say “micro managing instinctive flair out of the game “.
As I’m sure you’re aware I am a lover of the beautiful game and would prefer Arsenal to play a more open expansive game ,but I also have the intelligence to recognise that it was vital that we won a big trophy this season by any means possible and the one and half million fans at the parade on Sunday appear to agree with me going by the fantastic, joyous occasion we witnessed.
Feel free to be a miserable bastard along with Ufraud and Killjoy who only shows his face on here when Arsenal lose which tells us all we need to know about him.
Personally I can’t wait for next season especially if a couple of big signings are made offensively.
look it up fuckstick…transfermrkt:
left winger—106
attacking midfielld—82
right winger—44
center forward—22
left midfield—3
hardly shoehorning you stunned cunt
you can’t improve until you get out of your comfort zone…a good lesson for both you and YOUR manager
finally, stop with your fudging of the parade numbers like some sort of Trump-loving Make Arsenal Great Again fucktard…the world doesn’t need more fake-news twats…you know what kind of people care about the fucking number, overcompensating cunts!!
I’ve heard the 1.5 million fans attended the parade figure what I’d ask is if that’s the case why aren’t we looking to build a 100,000 capacity stadium?
Blow Wembley and everyone else out of the water.
Villa paid less than €10 million for Rogers 2 summers ago – why aren’t we scouting and signing these players?
Outside of Mosquera (Arteta clearly had City’s scouting info on Gabriel) last summer I can’t think of a signing under Arteta that could be classed as “cheap” buy that’s one for the future.
In fact a large number of Arteta signings are the complete opposite.
Vera
It’s a sign of desperation when you include games from 2020 playing for the likes of the mighty Lincoln, Blackpool and Middlesbrough when he was a teenager (17)
Morgan Rogers…Season 25/26
49 appearances in all comps
AML ( left wing) 13 that’s thirteen.
Say no more , he’s a no.8 or a no.10 as any educated football fan would know , but I’m happy if you want to continue making yourself look foolish.
Marc
Gone are the days when we have to worry about finding bargains , so save yourself the stress and enjoy the window as we look to finally add top quality up front, if we just sign squad fillers again I will be the first to complain.
Does anyone else think that Morgan Rogers is a left winger ?
Vera
I’m not sure why you as an Arsenal supporter wouldn’t be proud that your manager has managed to build such a massive fan base that were willing to put themselves out and go to the streets of Islington to show their support for your manager….a day that will never ever be surpassed with the sheer volume of people of all ages , genders and colours in a joyous celebration.
when one speaks about shoehorning they’re referring to when a player is asked to play in a position that either they’ve had very limited to no actual experience or they’ve performed poorly when they’ve been slotted there, like Havertz in the 8 or Noni on the left…LAST SEASON he played out wide left 14 times and he had 5 goals and 4 assists, as an AM he had 2 goals and 5 assists in 12 appearances, and as a CF & a right side winger(both once) he had no notable stats…so you tell me fucknuts, what was his best position, statistically-speaking, LAST season…nice try you know-nothing piece of shit…you’re way out of your league again, much like YOUR manager
as for the whole Trumpian greatest parade ever narrative, no one cared about such semantics until everything became a dick measuring exercise once that orange-haired bloated fuck entered the equation…so you’re just another overcompensating small-handed fuck who, in this particular scenario, feels compelled to perpetuate this potentially fabricated non-story for completely selfish reasons, as you were supposedly part of the “greatest” singular celebration in the history of London, and to artificially prop-up our manager, as if he was the fucking architect of this never before seen outpouring of emotion…did you hear that? it was a mic dropping you simpleton bitch
Wicksy
The point of scouting is to find the future stars at a price that means you can go truly top end for the very special players.
You think paying £50 million for backup is a good idea?
“I’m not sure why you as an Arsenal supporter wouldn’t be proud that your manager has managed to build such a massive fan base ”
You think the fan base is all down to Arteta?
You really are brainwashed.
Brainwashed and fucking hysterical
Slagsy , just accept he is a cunt, and he will not buy the players you like or will play the way you would like.
He plays fucking scabby risk averse football and the percentages and will always bring extra defenders on if he goes in front.
Just accept he is a cunt and move on.
It will be a weight of your mind and good therapy for you
And fuck me , you need it with what you have been coming out with recently.
Art
These guys are like some sort of Pol Pot Year Zero followers – there was no Arsenal before Arteta and there can be no Arsenal after him.
Personally I can’t wait till the cunts gone.
Marc
If the cunt is so fuckin good, like the majority of the fanbase seem to think, I am sure the other big clubs will want to take him of us very very soon.
Bayern, Barcelona, PSG, Manchester United, Juventus etc must all want a coach who spunks billions on cack, and plays scabby set piece anti football and acts like a cunt on a weekly basis.
They are fuckin hard to find, these cunts you know.
Marc
“ You think the fan base is all down to Arteta?
You really are brainwashed.”
Here is my comment from June 1st which should answer your question.
“Maybe you should blame the great Arsene Wenger for Arsenal having such an enormous fan base as it was his brand of dynamic and exciting football that persuaded so many fans to support the club.”
Vera
Rogers is an 8 or 10 who will occasionally be shoehorned into the left wing position, One really doesn’t have to be an expert on the game to understand this , but feel free to keep digging that hole.
Art
Arteta will have to be dragged out of Arsenal by force – if any of those clubs came in for him and offered to treble his salary he’d play the “I can’t leave the club I love” card.
Truth is he knows he’d be given a season and a half to two seasons – no title or CL (at some of them winning the title wouldn’t be good enough) and he’d be out on his arse.
He’s got the cushiest number in football – watch the excuses over the next couple of seasons when he doesn’t win the PL or CL.
Any reasonable fan (I’m not I’d sack the cunt on principle) would say if he finishes behind any of Iraola, Carrick, Alonso or the new City manager (I’d actually say what did you expect if City get Enrique) he should be fired.
All in their first or first full season no fucking excuses.
