A very happy new year to you and your family. Hope the year brings a trophy or two for us Arsenal fans. Also, I am at my hometown and the cold win is reminding me of those London days. I can’t get away from it, can I.
We are half way through the season with 45 points, sitting at the top in Premier League. Man City were closing up but Sunderland, led by the mighty Granit Xhaka, decided to help us a bit by restricting Pep’s side to a goalless draw.
Chelsea fans were pretty excited, claiming they would win this season with Enzo Maresca, but the club has sacked him already. Maresca’s most cherishing moment of the season would be a 1-1 draw against Arsenal with 10 men, lol. Liverpool are 12 points behind, so they aren’t catching up anytime soon and Aston Villa will do a ‘Emery’ eventually, probably already started with the 4-1 loss to us. Injuries aren’t helping them though.
So, yeah, the second half of the season is a race between Arsenal and Man City. With our involvements in Champions League, Carabao Cup and FA cup, and the injury list growing, Mikel has some tough days ahead but he has spent about a billion GBP to build up two 2 playing XIs with enough back ups / rotation options in each place. We have preferred players in the name of versatility and it will be tested.
We start the year with a game against Bournemouth today away from home. Last season, they beat us both home and away, denied us of 6 important points, started our downfall from the top spot. We shouldn’t forget that, and we I hope the players have some anger about it in them. 5-0 minimum can fix it.
In the team news, both Calafiori and Mosquera are still not available. Rice will be checked before the game. Gabriel is back, MLS can cover the LB position and we have Zubimendi doing the dirty work in midfield these days. We have 5 days before the next game against Liverpool, so we should be okay and can risk everyone available.
See you during the game.

Slot must be livid for the way his players have given the ball up so cheaply in the last few minutes, especially when it was VVD amd Allison…not a classy move by Marts
TRVL
Martinelli shouldn’t have pushed him off the pitch but the Liverpool player (mortally wounded of course) managed to move himself further onto the pitch to make sure he stopped play.
As always the scouse vermin will play the victim.
With the results last night a point is on the face of it is a decent enough result. Of course Arteta’s incapable of changing anything – all the changes exactly like for like and Eze only touched the ball about 3 times.
Tonight showed that Liverpool are still a decent side, they dominated the 2nd half without Raya having a shot to save…Liverpool never had a shot on target all game.
A tough game out of the way but that performance from us will give city and villa hope…
It’s a good time to have a few cup games to take the mind off the league, play the fringe players and put today’s match out of the way.

They hit the bar with Raya no where near it – they easily had the best chance of the match.
what a gutless performance against a totally depleted side, who didn’t have a bench to speak of, yet owned us for much of the second half…that’s why if we win this year it will be far more about the failures of the others than us being a dominant side
Cunt.
Yesterday was one of those games where the game needed a goal to ignite it , that didn’t happen so consequently neither side committed enough players forward and it became a stalemate.
In a way it was similar to the match at anfield earlier in the season that was decided by a 30 yard free kick.
I’m sure if Arsenal were 13 points behind Liverpool and never had a shot on target the criticism of Arteta and Arsenal would be heavy, but it appears that slot will escape any criticism for not wanting to win the game..
It was a drab uninspiring game of football in which a draw was probably a fair result..
Arteta really does need to utilise his squad better as the players looked like they were running on empty in the 2nd half.
Ethan Nwaneri – our teenage star that could possibly have unlocked the Liverpool defence last night wasnt even on the bench. Something he said – probably yes.
Portsmouth away in the fa cup brings back memories for me when we travelled down to fratton park in 1971 for a scrappy 1-1 draw when they scored a late equaliser.
We won the replay with charlie george scoring the first with a run from the half way line before fizzing a low 20 yarder into the bottom corner, his first game back from injury after a leg break on the first day of the season..
Will Guehi come to Arsenal, there is a few rumours saying it’s a possibility.
This is how I see it, Guehi is a very good defender who could play anywhere along the back 4, Hincape is only here on loan so if Guehi did come it would probably mean that we wouldn’t take up the option to buy Hincape.
There is also another aspect that may convince him to choose Arsenal and it could be to do with his religious beliefs, which may appear strange to some but it is obvious that Arsenal at this present time have a number of players with strong Christian beliefs and Guehi who also has strong Christian beliefs may find it an attractive proposition to join a club that aligns with his beliefs….we shall see , but to be honest city are the favourites to sign him and I may be barking up the wrong tree…

I’m pretty sure the Hincapie deal is the same set up as Raya’s was – we couldn’t afford him in the summer so loan for a season and then buy the following so buying another CB is a really stupid idea unless someone is leaving.
What a fantastic result for Macclesfield.
City have snatched the honorary trophy awarded to bullying flat track wankers. Previous holders? Wenger’s Arsenal of course.
Misgivings about tonight’s spuds/villa cup tie. If the cockerel jockeys lose, then Frank will be fired. But a win will deflate villa’s bubble. I’ll go for a three-three, masses of injuries and red cards with Villa winning on pens.
Spuds are getting fucked…all is well in the world.
Spurs’s turn to wear the all white jersey and they get knocked out in the 3rd round for the first time since 2014. Priceless. A certified club o’cunts. Frank out! I’m fucking bored with his gum chewing big eared bullshit.
Oh no the Spuddies wear a special kit to commemorate being shit sorry I mean 125 since they won anything and then lose in the first round of the FA Cup they wear it in.
I think I’m going to set up a consultancy business for the Spud’s where I give their owners, managers, players and fans courses explaining that “you’re cunts, you were born cunts, you live as cunts and you’ll die cunts – which makes you cunts, massive cunts”.
After all the first step in a finding a cure is to admit the problem.
KP – clearly Frank’s No 2 at Brentford was the real deal. Now No 1 Andrews has let his hair down and his team are in a better position than at anytime under Frank. I have never seen Brentford play live but did play at their old ground for Sony – I cannot remember who the game was against but Sony being rich at the time could afford to splash the cash for a corporate game. It was a Sunday afternoon game and practically all the players were pissed before kick off.
Personally I don’t care if Frank gets the axe or not, but I feel as if he hasn’t lost the room, so he might get another match or two to make his case…they were by far the more dominate side in the second-half, which typically isn’t in the offing once the players have tuned the manager out
let’s face it the whole musical chair managerial nonsense is largely predicated on the fact that several owners can’t fucking fathom why they can’t compete with the likes of us…we’re a blunt instrument side with a perennial cock-up for a manager…if I were an owner who had shelled out a tidy sum in the offseason, I would have a short leash too…just think of all the clubs whose managers have been on the hot seat for the past month and change, they’re either perceived contenders, like Pool or Chelsea, or delusional pretenders, like United and the Spuds…if we were thought of in the same vein as Pep’s City or Klopp’s Pool, of years past, no one’s getting flushed at Xmas for failing to measure up
