Right, we are out of Carabao Cup and FA Cup, but not everything is lost. We are 11 points clear of Man City in Premier League and we can take that lead to 12 points if we beat Bournemouth today. City do have 2 games in hand, but if they win both, we will still have a 6 point lead with only 6 games left for the season. In Champions League, we have a 1-0 advantage against Sporting and the second leg is at home. If we managed to get at least a draw, we will be playing Atletico (most likely) in the semi finals. I would rather play Atletico than Flick’s Barcelona.
The chance of lifting a trophy is still a possibility. And a win today will improve that possibility even more. Bournemouth are sitting in the bottom half of the table, and I hope we don’t shoot ourselves in the foot today.
Playing XI is out and I still don’t understand what has gotten into Arteta’s mind.

Why is Martinelli in the playing XI when you have Hincapie available. It’s not the time to be concerned about the injuries, because a loss in any of the games could mean a title. I’m OK with rest of the selection, Eze could have played ahead of Havertz but I’m not sure how much of his fitness is back.
I don’t understand the fact that we spend more than 250m on midfielders (Rice, Zubimendi, Norgaard, Havertz, Odegaard) and yet, we always have 2 DM-profile players and an option to choose from a non-performing Odegaard with a out-of-form Havertz. Anyway, that shouldn’t be a problem for a team sitting on 1st, playing against a bottom half team I suppose.
We need to win today. Man City has to visit Chelsea tomorrow and though I don’t have much confidence in Chelsea beating them, anything can happen. In last 3 seasons, we have always been the favorites going into last 7-8 games but have given it away. There are 7 games left, and 7 test of whether we have learned something over the years.
Right, game starts in an hour. See ya.

I will it enjoy more , when this moronic cunt goes and takes half the cack he has collected for millions.
Did you watch real football tonight not the negative shite anti football the cunt serves up every week.
And you dont want a manager like Enrique.
He is down to 1 trophy to win, after tonight’s result
If West Ham win at the weekend , City will be favourites and he could easily win fuck all again.
And let’s see what excuses you pair of slags come out with then
Your a sell out.
And the other slag , well he dont know what fuckin day it is.
I have visions of him, being like fuckin Joe Biden.
Rot.
Although someone should remind PSG they’ve yet to win the thing and deal their celebrations in.

This comes back to yesterday’s badinage entre nous. Surely what’s good for the goose 🪿 and all that. You rejected that very point when I made it about the Arsenal.
In any case, the little fella is going to need to put his thinking cap on before Budapest. This is the big boy game.
For me there is a sense of Deja vu when I look at our cup winners cup semi final 1994 and this seasons semi final, and the final could follow the same course as the cup winners cup final back in 1994.
In 1994 we went to Paris and drew with Psg 1-1 and the return leg at Highbury we won 1-0 in a very tough, highly charged game , this season has been almost identical in how the semi final has played out . Both first legs we were 1-0 up at half time with the opposition equalising in the 2nd half, both 2nd legs we were 1-0 up at half time and held on for the 2-1 aggregate win.
So what about the final , as in 1994 we will be the underdogs , parma had a side full of talent including Asprilla, Zola and Brolin but with the help of a fantastic performance from David Seaman we held on for a 1-0 win with a first half strike from Alan Smith.
Who’s to say that the champions league final won’t take a similar path, PSG are a very talented side , their wingers especially are dynamic and they are probably the best team at pressing the ball I have seen.
However, I doubt we will fall into the trap of playing out from the back so yes we will have to play more of a long ball game especially in first quarter of the game.
This Arsenal team like the 1994 European champions know how to defend and again we do have an exceptional keeper , will gyokeres have an Alan Smith moment to score the winner.
So yes , 1-0 to the Arsenal will reverberate around the Budapest stadium on may 30th , but first Arteta will have to find a way to stifle the PSG wingers , could be a game for Timber(if fit) and Hincapie.
The hand ball rule really needs to be sorted out before the champions league final , the 2 pens given in the semis against Bayern and Arsenal were ridiculous, both were deflected from the body to the hand and in no way were deliberate.
What we are seeing now in Europe is the players going berserk whenever there is a possibility that the ball has touched the hand but this has only come about because of the dumb rules that allow a penalty to be given for non deliberate hand ball.
Have to say that the Premier league have finally got it right with their interpretation of the hand ball rule so consequently you don’t see this constant appealing whenever the ball strikes the hand.
We are seeing great games of football potentially being decided by a ball that’s been deflected onto the hand which is crazy.
Last season in the champions league semi final Lewis Skelly gave away a pen for the most innocuous of hand balls , Ben white the same this season after the ball deflected off his leg.
The rule needs to be changed otherwise we are in danger of seeing a final in the champions league being decided by an accidental hand ball decision.
Stewart Robson dismissed Arteta’s intensity as self-serving, questioning the purpose of his actions.
“What is a coach on the side of the pitch supposed to do? He’s meant to coach the game, he’s meant to give instructions,” Robson argued.
He further claimed that Arteta’s behavior is merely a performance, adding:
“All Arteta does, I think he’s doing it for himself: ‘Look at me, I’m great, I run this club, I do this, I do that… It’s just absolutely pathetic
Stewart Robson, one of the few pundits who is not a fucking media controlled puppet, one of the few remaining independent free thinkers and not a media bottom feeding low life piece of filth with their snouts in the trough and not afraid in calling this manager out for what he is,
A MORONIC CUNT.
KSE and their mainstream media henchman will now get him cancelled and discredited.
Well done Robbo for being honest and blunt.

“It seems the ref got both calls right.”
Not really, although a red card would have been harsh and something I don’t agree with, the fact is the psg left back handled the ball for a 2nd yellow and no there was no hand ball from the Bayern player as replays have shown.
Personally I think the officials bottled it so they took the easy way out and gave the decision in favour of psg, Bayern have every right to be angry about the decision.
There were a couple contentious decisions in the Arsenal game , I thought we were fortunate that the ref blew for a foul on Gabriel just before calafiori brought down greizman in the area , replays showed there was no foul on Gabriel.
The other contentious decision was when gyokeres was basically rugby tackled as he was clean through on goal, red card all day long as he was last man….
Ufraud
“I have visions of him, being like fuckin Joe Biden.”
And this I’m sure is you.

You stick to writing your vanilla bollox about penalties, hand ball decisions , how fucking wonderful this moronic cunt is and only he can manage the cunting club.
Not a Klopp, Enrique, Ancelotti, Conte or anyone else.
Depsite him being of the highest paid managers in the game.
Nowhere near me, but good try.
The ticket allocation to the clubs is just under 25% for each team. UEFA will no doubt make sure the ‘hangers on’ will be well served. Denes, a friend of mine who lives in Budapest contacted me yesterday to ask if I wanted a ticket. He lived in London for 17years and supported Arsenal. His Son still lives in London but is Chelsea supporter.
KP – summer is the time to visit Budapest.
KP, you’re right, everyone should celebrate how they want in the moment.
I was jesting about PSG.
From getting into a Championship play off spot, to making the Essex Vets Senior Cup final, we all walk our own truth.
Let people enjoy things, Arsenal players and supporters included.
No doubt, PSG are favourites but they also know they’ll need to be on point.
Wicksy, with you on the ‘handball before the handball’, I’ve seen it properly now.
I’m surprised so little was made of the foul on Gyok. Surely last man and a GSO. At the game it seemed obvious, the highlights, yes I’ve watched a few since, seem to brush it off.
Gabriel was a hot one, again, seeing replays, I think we got away with it.
No matter.
There are certain GG vibes about our squad but only to a degree. We haven’t bumped our way to the final although clearly our defence has played a massive part as the stats show. We stormed the group stage and set ourselves up as a team to be noted early on following from last season and we’ve been favourites or thereabouts for most of this campaign.
What I see as the parallel is the hunger of the team and the willingness when needed to dig in and scra, we don’t mind to 1-0.
Plus of course, a top tier defence.
Because it’s PSG now, we won’t be favourites for probably the first time this season. This is where we get to really flex our defensive chops, I can’t wait.
Fartso, did you watch Bayern with two shots on target being held off?
Hourses for courses man, freedom of choice
Norg,
If you’re not taking up your friend’s offer, keep me in mind. I’m going into the ballot but don’t fancy my chances based on an allocation of a measly 16k.
There’s a drink in it, or some overpriced on trend merch if that’s floats your fashionista boat.

Does any other club do style and fashion as well as we do?

I expect he will go with his wife. She is also a Gooner and once was warned by a steward for getting out of her seat and yelling verbal abuse at the players. She became a different animal at football matches. They are both academics (now retired) and he still tells the story.
Norg, them were the days.
Remember when the Ems first opened and standing was seen as an act of defiance? Dull times.
Initially only redaction corner where my bro used to sit were given licence to stand as they were the ‘atmosphere’. It’s crept round the North Bank and up to probably block 14.
Upstairs they still sit, probably why it’s more miserable.
I hope your friend and missus enjoy it as much as I hope to.
Fartso probably won’t get this and will rage red-faced a little more but this reel explains fairly accurately how Arsenal leans into being a London brand and capturing London culture. Much like the NTS collab, the P+F would only make sense for a club like ours, iconic players like Wrighty and Henry are a perfect fit.
I dont expect to old geezers stuck in the days of pissing on terraces and mud pitches wouldn’t appreciate how Arsenal is, in the words of this commenter, more than a club but a cultural signifier but that’s fine, they’re history.
There’s a reason Arsenal has such a large global fantasy despite there being more successful teams, it comes down to the who we are and what we represent, and that doesn’t mean fat old swear guys.

Two words soppy bollocks
“Thomas Partey.”
And this cunt wanted to renew his contract
Thats what the club now represents
.
Hypocrisy, greed and exploitation.
Its simply about money , more money for the billionaire owners , more money for the millionaire players.
Look at you, you are a rabid fan and you cant even get a ticket for the final.
Thats what they think of mugs like you.
Now go online and buy some more tat and make the Kronkers even richer.
And delude yourself a little bit more
Nothing sums up the club in modern times, than the fact , the son of billionaire parents on both sides , Josh Kroenke
has a fucking mural on the wall on Hornsey Road
Not Bally, McClintok, George, Brady, Charlie Nic, Adams , O Leary, Geordie Armstrong, Paul Davis ,Rocky, Denis but this long streak of US billionaire piss.
Or Why not the Hill Woods, Dein, Fizman?
The club has been bought and hijacked, they own everything, but these cunts will never own me and my thoughts on the parasites

Thanks for the reminder about Stewart Robson. Never a flair player but a solid fearless midfielder with a terrific engine and shot on him. I was sad to see him leave – he was really young and not fully tested as far as I recall before being sold to the Hammers. Perhaps it’s because they were both ginger nuts but very much in the same mould as Steve Sidwell. Is that true about there being a mural of Josh Kroenke on Hornsey Road? Fuck me, talk about worshipping false idols. I loved Paul Davis – I was working in Stockholm and went to see him play in Sweden in 1990 for a club called Eskilstuna when he was on loan there one summer. Pure Arsenal. And the way he broke Glenn Cockerill’s jaw when he racially abused him at Highbury felt like justice had been served.
I may have mentioned this before but I made and painted a wooden tea tray last year with an image Thomas Partey’s head on it. There was a speech bubble coming out of his mouth saying, ‘You put the kettle on and I’ll do the teabags’. Unique Kroenkephobian Arsenal memorabilia.
