Took me a day to partially recover from the horrendous performance at toilet bowl, I’m still sad with what I saw! Not particularly interested in going into the match details for this one (sorry!), it was a game to forget but I shan’t let go the two things – game plan and referring.
The level of refereeing in Premier League needs to be fixed. It’s not because Spu*s benefitted of a soft penalty. It’s because the inconsistency we see in Premier League. I don’t give a fuck about other teams but it’s never consistent for us, Arsenal. For every half decisions coming our way, we are denied at least 10.
How many of you can say hand to heart if that same push was done by a Spu*s defender to Martinelli or Nketiah, we would have got a Penalty kick? If Rob Holding was a United or Liverpool player, would he have been sent off?
Why a player from a certain team wasn’t punished after steping on Tomiyasu’s face? Where the fuck was VAR at that time?
It was a soft penalty. If you start penalising them, score line would look like 9-7 every other match. We would have celebrated like an FA cup win if it was in our favour, against Spu*s at Emirates in a game so crucial for Champions League qualification.
Second point, game management. Last time we played against Spu*s, Tomiyasu did a great job in restricuting Son. Almost everyone (you too, if you put down those glasses that has ‘Arteta is great’ written on the sides) knew it would be difficult for Holding to restrict Son. Everyone also knew what a fucking drama he is, the same guy who broke 16 ribs because a dead ball hit him with 0.06 miles / hour.
What were those sideline shouting for, if it didn’t meant for Holding to be careful after a yellow card? I’m a Holding fan, I still feel it was a good decision to play him ahead of Ben White since he is better with headers and can compete with Kane but I have never seen him that aggressive. Was it a game plan? If yes, it was sh*t. If he was not told to keep calm after first yellow, it was sh*t.
We are too good to be competing against Spu*s and United level of bullying and getting away with it. You don’t try it in a crucial game. It backfires!
One last thing, Conte can fuck right off. Isn’t it surprising to complain about someone complaining? I mean if not more, he is on the same level to Mourinho in complaining! Arteta only qualifies as an assistant complainer (pun intended) in front of him.
I’m devasted with that loss. There shouldn’t have bad decisions. There shouldn’t have been a red card. A fair loss after 90 min in a 11v11 is acceptable. This inconsistency should stop. Arteta should stop shouting nonsense and use that energy for his in-game management.
Right, I know you are frustrated too and I’m not helping here but it is what it is. Hopefully this Tuesday, we manage to beat New Castle and then grab a win against Everton in our last game of this season. Europa League is not where I want to see the best club in the world play. If we don’t ask questions if we don’t qualify for Champions League when no one else wants to, that mediocrity which crept in in the later days of Wenger is not gone. If we don’t qualify for Champions League after coming this close, we are just one of those midtable clubs (West Ham, Man United and Spu*s).
Signing off..
Rampedro… Rampedro? Are you there? I can’t hear you? That’ll be you then til Arteta delivers a win against Fulham in late November.
Arteta and his fan boys have destroyed Arsenal as a club that will regularly compete for top 4 let alone the league.
You won’t see another season for a long time where Leicester, the Spud’s and ManU are all so bad you’ve then got to add Newcastle to the equation will be competing for EL next season and very likely the CL season after.
Shame on anyone who supports Arteta over Arsenal – you are the vilest scum.
Come 6pm on Sunday the fan boys will be celebrating getting 5th – something Wenger and Emery were sacked for.
Just when I thought the night couldn’t get any worse mbappe looks on the verge of choosing Real Madrid and not us. His loss, the process waits for no man and word is Origi is interested. Exciting times ahead. Think I’ll try the yellow ones now.
But guys, Arteta has totally changed the culture at the club. Just ask anyone at the Emirates.
Culture of mediocrity? At least Club was brave enough to fire Emery after finishing 5th.
Hi Jamie,
It’s laughable isn’t it? We’re the worst run, worst managed club in existence. The pre-collapse signing of the extension to his contract beggars belief really. Would love to read a copy and look for any performance related caveats. The Kroenkes must be having a major ‘doh!’ moment today. And you just know he’ll still be there in August. I don’t know what to read into GX’s comments. For someone as dim as he is, they’re nevertheless a little enigmatic. I needed an excuse to diminish my interest in the club (cancelling subscriptions ASAP) and that bastard Arteta is providing the pretext. That said, no plans to stop coming on here.
I’m hoping there will a so-called lap of honour after the Everton game and he is roasted by the crowd. I’ll even pay for the charcoal!
How’s things with you mate?
Fuck it, fuck the willingness of remaining positive.
Arteta can show his generational coaching in championship. I’m so pissed off it ain’t gonna change even if spuds lose to norwich and we qualify.
Football is bland, there are meek individuals in teams, non sense decisions of Auba/Saliba/Willock/Guen and what not.
I’m Arteta Out officially. Fuck this shit.
kp –
It’s comedy at this point for sure. A clear run at 4th this season and we absolutely shit the bed.
The whole squad is Arteta’s; he’s held onto players he should’ve sold, paid others to fuck off he could’ve/should’ve kept, and spent hundreds of millions recruiting. I remember when all he needed was a full preseason for his elite coaching to take effect and we’d go bang with the ‘top 4 quality squad’ Emery was blessed with.
2.5 years later and we’re still being outplayed by Newcastle. What a mess.
Hottest project in Europe though yeah.
Other than the footie, I’m doing will, mate. How’s things?
well*
Hi Jamie
It’s almost too painful to talk about Arsenal. There’s no logical justification for keeping him in the job but on it goes. Torture, as Almunia said yesterday in another context.
Yeah, all good here in west Wales although parenting becomes less enjoyable by the day. Ms K and I are hoping to get up to Scotland – West Coast mainly but also hoping to call in on sunny Embra. You planning any more trips up that way? Next season is the one I definitely pop my cherry at Easter Road (while Arsenal fight for 10th spot with the likes of Southampton, Brentford and Palace).
Fuck watching Arsenal, it no longer is a priority. But will return when the bumbling Brazilian buffoon and the pedestrian paced Everton reject have been fired by the sniveling Daddy’s boy. (courtesy of Almunia)
In the meantime since I have the Peacock streaming service I am thoroughly enjoying Rugby. Added the United Rugby Streaming service and love the 16 teams from Ireland, Wales, Italy, Scotland and South Africa competing.
Have gotten so much into Rugby that I now know the Refs names. Open communication for everyone to hear between onfield Ref and TMO (VAR) of decisions being made and clearly explained why, that would solve the Ref & VAR problem.
Summer Tests are coming between all the major Rugby Nations, makes me forget the Arsenal misery.

Imagine last night’s Arsenal squad (including 4 subs) forming a rugby 15? With Tets shouting his cack and waving his little hands from the sidelines. They’d be about as good at union as they are winning crucial football matches.
Who do you think will win the next. RWC? I see that the seeding system for that tournament is really odd.
This a place for Le Grove rejects? LOL… it looks like I got under Pedro’s skin… again. My comments are now “awaiting moderation”. What a little bitch/dictator that guy is. No wonder he loves Arteta so much.
Since it is in France and with a rugby mad crowd in the stadiums France has an excellent shot at it. After that a toss up between Ireland, S. Africa and the New Zealand All Blacks.
I am really looking forward to the summer test matches between Australia v England and New Zealand v Ireland. Then after that the Rugby Championship from July 2 to Sep 24 the Springboks will play the All Blacks and Australia.
By the end of the Autumn Season Nov 26 England v South Africa at the Twickenham Stadium a clear favorite will have emerged.
A few things I really like about Rugby no injury faking, very difficult to waste time as the Ref can stop the clock and true transparency about the Ref and TMO decisions.
Also it seems the fans are more fun and loyal. In the US it is fairly inexpensive to watch it on-line plus I am on a P2P tracker that posts all the Southern Hemisphere matches much easier than the EPL to watch in the US as it requires a cable subscription which I am not willing to pay to the evil empire of Comcrap so free on-line links it is which are actually pretty good.

That point about the difference in play-acting between the two sports is kinda right… But remember this?
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PxmmkPDuHiY
Quins got absolutely fucked by the rugby authorities as a result of that.
By the way, I think you’re right to say that the winner will be one of those 4. I don’t see England nor any of the others as possible contenders.
That was before my interest in Rugby which is only 4 years old. Do have the privilege to get from the Rugby P2P tracker all the games that were worth watching and watched from the 2015 WC onward.
But since the Peacock streaming service has the Premiership Rugby on I watched the Quins win the championship last season. This weekend a few huge games coming up in the United Rugby Championship.
Are you located in Europe?
I don’t know how to take that, Upstate..but welcome 😁
Upstate
Yes mate, it is. And I think it’s fair to say the mood is much lighter and the commentary more honest and transparent. I got banned ages ago because I’d had a belly full of the agenda driven bullshit from various people (whether real ones or just a bunch of fictional twats and sycophants culled from P’s imagination).
Ambarish, in refereeing terms, will get his yellow card out occasionally (which is fine) but keeps up with the game, lets play flow and always follows the advantage rule. By contrast, Pedro = an Arteta loving Mike Dean.
After the events of last week, this is the one sane place left for Arsenal opinions.

Although the game was (probably) invented at that posh school in England, I live in one of the cradles of rugby, ie Wales.
As with many sports involving British teams, it’s easier to watch it abroad.
I used to play quite a bit til I was 18 or so. But bullying PE teachers (who wouldn’t allow us to play football) and playing through puberty and coming up against hairy, fully developed 16 year old men kind of turned me fully onto football.
I watch the international stuff these days (again subject to TV deals) and some of the English club stuff. One of my earliest experiences as a kid was playing at Leicester Welford Road.
I tried to warn Pedro months ago that when his thought experiments were only being validated by complete pillocks like eb, AFC Superfan, and Rich the Economist who doesn’t read books, he should seriously rethink everything.
But people are stubborn, what are you gonna do.
Conte, the firestarter set to burn Spurs to the ground, took 6 months and 2 signings to get Spurs back into the CL. Arteta took over £200m and 2.5 years to get us to 5th only playing a game a week and still managing to beast the starting 11.
We’ve lost more games than Brighton this season, ironically after we raided them for £50m defender Benny Blanco.
Also, given his recent interview, Granit didn’t seem to get the memo on the huge culture shift that’s taken place under Arteta.
Ah yeah, I have an old friend to went to Rugby in the 90s after he was expelled from our school. The son of an Uzbek oligarch, so he fit right in no stress.
If Pedro keeps banning people and half of them end up on here before long they’ll be more posting on here than Le Grove (soon to be renamed “insert excuse here”).
Raptor posted this link:

Where Pedro is being roasted there to the point that I actually feel for him, because they did not hold back and he got the full shotgun treatment.
Some made me chuckle though like these:
“Did you support Arsenal before the brain injury”
“Hilarious thread. A talent to write so much bollocks! But don’t let facts get in the way of your delusion.”
Plus a definition for AFBs:
“They’ll (AFBs) come out with any sort of shite to try & make it look like they know what they’re on about.
The truth doesn’t matter!”
Learned a new description for Arteta “Pep’s Gimp”

I have contemplated to go the route of a VPN. At the moment surfshark.com offers for $30 a year a VPN that can connect globally. In Australia there is Stan Sport stan.com.au which costs 16 Euros per month. For that you get all the Rugby you can handle, UEFA competitions, other sports, TV shows, Movies it is a most excellent deal.
All you require is an address in Australia (easy to get) they will accept foreign credit cards or you can pay with gift cards. They offer so much entertainment that it is a most decent offer and will cover multiple streaming services.
Hi Killroy,
Thanks mate. It’s very tempting. But if I watch any more TV sport, Ms Kroenkephobe will waterboard me and chop off my index fingers so that I couldn’t use the remote.
But I’m working on converting my garage into a space that looks like the inside of the fire station on Banana Splits. You’ll all have to come to West Wales for a toxically boozy alcohol and class A inauguration party – other halves also welcome in case it gets too Arsenally!
“Pep’s Gimp”
I like that – does it mean Pedro is actually “Arteta’s Gimp”?
Marc
Are you planning to go to the Everton game?
Sorry but I think we should let others live in peace. We shouldn’t become the very thing we hated – extremism towards / against something.
I really appreciate you all, and handful readers who just come by to read blog and our comment section. 🙂
