Bukayo Saka has won the player of the month award again. He has been our best players from last 3 months, has uplifted the overall team’s performance and has 5 goals and 2 assists to his name.
We have got a bright future. In Saka, ESR, Martinelli, Gabriel, Tierney – we have some of the hottest players. Mix them with experience of Thomas and Auba, we are looking forward to a much better result in future.
What does this tell? Arteta should limit playing Willian, Laca and Luiz and believe in the youth. They may lose you some points but the season is over and every minute of game time will boost confidence of these lads.
Tierney and Saka are already a part of team. It’s time to believe in Martinelli, preferring Gabriel over Luiz, bringing in Azeez and promoting Balogun on bench after tying him up.
We are far away from the title contenders and it’s going to take a while. Mikel should use it to grow players instead of buying others in their decline and then hindering the growth of our own academy players.
We are sitting 10th in the table, a 19-year old is grabbing player of the month 3 times in a row when you have Luiz, Willian, Auba, Laca, Xhaka starting every match. That in itself tells the story.
