Arsenal - London is Red

Match Day – Arsenal v Fulham

Sorry for being late today! We already have our line up confirmed for the game against Fulham at Emirates and there are some changes today.

Tierney replaces Zinchenko from starting XI and Elneny is back in place for Partey. I am sure Tierney will be able to replicate Zinchenko’s performance at the left back and will link up pretty fine with Martinelli. However, Partey has been crucial for our midfield and we have had bad days with Xhaka + Elneny in our midfield. Hopefully the confidence of winning three games in a row will help and Elneny produces one of those rockets that lands in Fulham’s net.

Fulham haven’t lost any game till now, and it’s going to be a tough afternoon for the lads. However, a win against a bottom half team at home should be a walk in the park if our lads shows up like they have done this season. Listen, couple of goals from Jesus is what I wanna see today; it’s personal, I want him winning the golden boot ahead of Haaland.

On a positive note, we haven’t lost to Fulham in our last 30 games at Emirates. We haven’t lost to a promoted side since 2010 and it’s not a day when records will break.

It’s also refreshing to see Arteta’s trust in Saliba, he is starting his 4th game in a row and I had the impression that Arteta will, at some point of time, prefer White at CB. I will eat the humble pie on this one, credit where it’s due.

Ramsdale’s form has also been a concern which has not been mentioned enough since we are winning, but he needs to regain his confidence. I think he tries to do more than he should, stick to basics of clearance and the ball distribution can come afterwards. A clean sweep is as important for him as for the us, fans.

We might also see Fabio and Marquinhos getting some game time, they made the bench today and I am pretty curious to see what they bring to the table.

What’s your expectations and predictions for the game? Don’t forget to share in the comments.

It’s about time, lets go lads. #COYG

P.S. – What the f*ck is Liverpool doing to Bournemouth.

    Hi Ambarish
Just made it in time by 10 minutes. Now that’s cutting it fine! Let’s hope Arsenal score a few in good time. I want Bernie L to do well at Fulham but I hope he’ll have one of those arsey – aroundy – at – the – backy type afternoons today. I hope we don’t miss TP and Zinch.

PS the words ‘tough’ and ‘Fulham’ should never appear in the same sentence. We’ll win this one mate.

  3. Doesn’t look like a lucky day today, Saka missed another one 🙁

Was howling in the wrong backyard. ☹️Had missed the new post.
    Thanks Ambarish
Leno proving a pont. Maybe it works with Arsenal because he would know how all our players shoot

    Shit
G Jesus in a scrap because Saka was fouled.
    Fortunately escaped now

Had posted in the old backyard that today Saliba seems to compulsorily passing ONLY to one of the backs and that we are losing out on a faster progression of the ball as a result given Saliba range and pass accuracy.
    F- generational sauce

We went a bit shaky towards the end of first half. Jesus was angry on the foul on Saliba and understandably so, but we need to keep calm and finish the chances we create.

Could have been 3-0 up by now. I’m getting nervous.

Key personnel Zinchenko and Party not playing, but formation same as usual. The alternative is Elneny Backpass and Tierney with his usual running straight .
Mikel thinks his team are pegsvof woid and will work same way no matter which players are in and which are out.
Our players are far superior individually. Depending on the result will show the limitations of our Novice learning 3rd year on the job

Saliba with a feather touch and Miteovich rolling like he has been shot

1-0 down and Arteta panic. Bringing in Niketiah with Smith Rowe and Sambi lined up

Coming from behind. 12 points from 12. Great atmosphere in the stadium. Wicked!

The tossers on le grove will be claiming we’ve won the inaugural month of August league title.

  12. Wooooh… some relief that was… Another 3 points, top of the league again… Come on you gunners.

Tell me you followed your routine from last week mate! Great feeling to be top.

And my local team is top of the Welsh league.

  14. And it’s good to see us winning after going 1-0 down. It was a given last season that we would go on and lose if we concede first, hopefully that changes this season….starting today.

I reckon it was the pyjamas that won it! Nice one man.

What did everyone think about their goal? I’m surprised it wasn’t var’ed (although I think Gabriel retaliated after his was grabbed round the neck). Mitrovic would probably do well in the UFC. Arsenal defenders need to cope with his likes much more effectively than they did today.

Just watched the interviews and analysis on match of the day. Their manager us a bitter little twat isn’t he. A cardboard cut-out poundshop version of the flawed Arteta. Pouting, moaning with his sad face on. Diddums.
