Looks like we are in a bit of luck, with Southampton doing us a favor by winning 3-2 against Spurs. We have 3 games in hand to West Ham, who are currently sitting in 4th position. We are 4 points behind them and our next 3 games are against Wolves (A), Brentford (H) & Wolves (H); not easy but winnable!
Wolves away is going to be tough tonight and all our players needs to show up. We have a rather fit squad except Tomi. He had injury earlier and was not involved in Dubai. When asked about him, this is what Arteta had to say –
He’s there. He had a recurring injury in the same place so we have to be careful with him but he’s been training hard. Let’s see if he’s available or not.

Tomiyasu has been phenomenal for us. He has made that right back position his own and it would be a blow if he can’t make it today. In case that happens, I would rather prefer a back three with White, Holding and Tierney than to trust Cedric in a very important game.
Today’s game is one for the momentum. We have easy run of games and confidence will be the difference maker for today and next few weeks. We need to grab all 3 points whenever possible to stay in the fight for Champions League. Other teams are dropping points and we have to capitalize on this opportunity.
Bruno Lage has done a tremendous work with the defense at Wolves. They have conceded only 16 goals till now, second best to Man City. It would be interesting to see how Mikel & team get pass their defense. I would prefer Martinelli at CF with ESR, Ode an Saka behind him. He has got that intelligent run, always looks out to score and is probably our best player on the pitch from some time. We have three relatively easy games and I don’t care if Mikel wants Martinelli or Eddie/Laca as CF but it’s a good time to at least decide on one!
Partey and Xhaka would be back for today. Wolves had beaten Brentford in their last premier league game with a goal each from Moutinho and Neves. Our midfield has to contain the threat from these 2 plus Dendocker. Partey has to give his A game and Xhaka just needs to avoid another error leading to goal.
Damn, I have missed seeing us play in Champions League. There is a ray of hope, lets not fuck up this time. Let’s go and beat the wolves and get those 3 crucial points.
