I’m finally done with the rituals that comes with having a kid in our culture. A month at my ancestral village, with AQI in double digits, fruits and veggies from the farm, empty roads and no honking, clear and visible night sky – things that are “normal” for them were something “awesome” for me. Made up my mind, 10 years and I will go back to where I was born.
But, before that, are we going to WIN? City are only 2 points behind us with 10 games to go. Last couple of months have looked familiar, we have seen it 3 times under Mikel and we dropped points to Wolves and Brentford. We did win NLD but hey, their ex-manager is calling them ‘spursy’ on podcasts these days and it’s hardly a contest in recent time.
Today’s a challenge. Anything but a win and City will be level on points. I don’t see us making it from there, Pep knows how to win things when it matters. And Chelsea are not going to make it easy for us. All we have to do is win our games, let them drop points before we do, and then we can think of winning the league this year.
Kai and Merino are out. Ben White is a doubt but hopefully we won’t miss him. I would personally go with the same playing XI we had against Tottenham. Calafiori in place of Hincapie can be OK, but lets not go back to Odegaard. Eze did well, and he needs couple of games in the #10 role to truely dominate games. He is our only players apart from Martinelli who got creativity outside of Mikel’s system and can do something on his own. The first goal against Spurs was a brilliant one and that short of ball wins you game.
Gyokeres has finally picked up. He scored 2 brilliant goals against Spurs and was moving better through out the game. Frankly I was disappointed so far with him, but he has got 10 games + CL + FA Cup + Carabao Cup games to prove me wrong.
Right, I will keep it short but I promise I will be more active. 3 very exciting months ahead for us, where we can win everything. Lets hope we do.

That Cole Palmer combover catastrophe is starting to give me Gene Wilder vibes.
They need to fucking wake up and play some football.
Agreed Chelsea need to learn the middle ground between their historic way of doing things and Arsenal’s with Arteta.
finally someone with width on the pitch…as soon as it was known that both Fofana and the mad Chihuahua were unavailable, MA should have started a lineup that stretched their backline…then he should have deployed Eze more on the right, in front of Sarr, who’s making his PL debut…this would have put Hato on an island with Saka, which could have freed up Timber in more advanced spaces…it’s some footballing 101 low hanging fruit shit that seems to be beyond the capacity of our manager
KP—straight out of a scene from Stir Crazy
Shocking dive by Timber there – Chelsea will be rightly furious if we score from the free kick.
Sanchez is an absolute clown – what is he complaining about.
Arsenal back in the reckoning after I sign on
if it weren’t for set pieces we’d be in the bottom-half of the table…of course I’m being a little facetious
Chelsea meltdown
Red for Neto
TRVL
How many matches have we won by decent score lines where we’ve not looked like scoring until a set piece.
Neto’s going to be pissed by the corner-taker for not getting that over the first defender…that said, why would you ever try a tackle like that if you’re already on a yellow and have the kind of speed he has
that should pretty well guarantee all 3 points
Chelsea under Liam look like a poor man’s version of us…good luck with that
TRVL
The guy’s been there 2 minutes, outside of matches against us has done OK and hasn’t had a transfer window so is stuck with the same basic squad that has brought down how many managers?
I’m not campaigning against him, I just think he’s got more than enough talent at his disposal to provide a different brand of football than what was on offer under Enzo, but more often than not he’s chosen a more MA-like blunt instrument course…I have nothing against him personally, I’ve just seen a lot of their matches since his hiring and I haven’t been impressed with anything he’s done…he seems more concerned about his swag appeal than his managerial future
😂😂 Nice to have an Arsenal supporter referring
… at least that oil lamp thing won’t be burning up here
big time save by Raya there
Doesn’t say much for the performance when the argument for our best player today is their keeper or ours!
I know why Pedro flops so much, his first touches are amateur hour personified…maybe he learned that from Welbeck while at Brighton
