Did you watch Middlesbrough vs Tottenham game? If not, there’s a highlight on YouTube but make sure to go to Settings > Quality > 1080p before you begin; good things should always be in the best quality!
We had a shocking development this week, Chelsea has been put on sale by the owner Roman Abramovich. He released a statement on Club’s Twitter handle yesterday with his reasons to sell the club and how is it in the best interest of everyone. He confirmed he will not be asking for his loan repayment which is around GBP 1.5 billion! Time will tell how this story develops and what happens with this loan and if they a get a new owner who is as invested as Roman in football financially but it could disturb their season’s plan, which ultimately will benefit Arsenal.
We are fighting for the 4th position, we won’t mind finishing 3rd 😉
We have a game on Sunday against Watford away. The hosts are sitting in the relegation zone and we should get away with all 3 points. At this stage, any point lost can come back to haunt us later and I’m hoping the players keep the fight in them for each game they play.
Smith Rowe is back in training, Arteta has been nominated as Premier League Manager of the Month and Marseille confirmed permanent signing of Guendouzi. I liked the player, I wanted him to play for us in a midfield where we have Xhaka and Lokonga as options but nothing can be done now; farewell to him.
I’m still in the feel good mode from the Wolves game and there’s not much going on for us. This ‘one game a week’ is boring as f*ck and hopefully it’s better next year with some Champions League competition. I can certainly manage to not sleep 2 nights in a week.
Short one today, hope you are safe with whatever is happening around.
And with utd playing city and the hammers at anfield this weekend we have the opportunity to put even more distance between ourselves and our rivals. Watford are a strange team, can be quite tricky on their day but are atrocious at times also. Fingers crossed for a trouble free win, though we don’t really do those do we? I won’t get into politics but like you said mb,I hope everyone is as safe as possible, wherever they are.
As a total aside,I watched the film ‘ United’ on Netflix last night. It tells the story of the Munich air crash. I have never hidden my disdain for Utd,but that was a truly heartbreaking tragedy and a really emotive account of it,well worth a watch. You’ll appreciate your life that little bit more by the end.
Looks like we are seeing the peak Partey. #COYG lets score 2 more.
