When any two clubs are level on points after 5 games and are going to play each other, it’s already a rivalry. However, if the two clubs happens to be the Arsenal and Spuds, it’s not rivalry but a WAR. North London Derby is here, on a British Sunday Afternoon, at Emirates. If you have got any plans, I would rather suggest to forget about it and restock your refrigerator. Waitrose opens at 10 am on Sunday and 4 hours are sufficient to sort out any scarcity.
Arsenal v Tottenham is one of the biggest game of this season. The result will affect both the teams, for one is trying to compete for the title and the other one is trying to show the world they, still, are a part of the top 6. A win today will move us ahead of our arch rivals and closer to Manchester City. A win today will keep our confidence high. And for the fans, a win today will mean the world.
Right, that’s a lot of emotion from me on a Sunday morning. Lets get back to the facts.
In the team news, I doubt Martinelli will be available for today. Even if he makes it, I don’t think Arteta will risk him with games coming thick and fast, and when we have a back up in Trossard who is doing exceptionally well for whatever chances he is getting. Raya is probably gonna get the start ahead of Ramsdale again today and the back 4 will remain same. It would be interesting to see whom Mikel prefers in the midfield alongside Declan Rice. Will it be his favorite Havertz, or the in-form Vieira? I would personally go with Vieira, never replace a confident player unless he needs resting.
We need Gabriel Jesus up top and we need him to do the famous Henry slide in the corner after his hattrick today. Saka has been phenomenal until now and I don’t have to guess that he will only improve his performance. He is already excited for the game, and has to say this when asked about the game.
I’m really excited. It’s a massive advantage. Personally, the feeling I have every time I play at the Emirates is that we’re going to win and the people are behind us. The support that the fans give us, not allowing us to lose, gives us that extra confidence boost.

Well, here’s the bitter pill. It’s not going to be easy. Spuds are having a new manager bounce and though they don’t have the usual scorer against Arsenal in Harry Kane, they are playing better than their own standards. Derbys are more emotion than the talent, and we must make sure we keep our emotions in check, score 3 by the half time and not let them have any chances. We need to be solid defensively, whoever plays at CF need to make most of the chances he gets and we must keep them pressed for the whole game. We must also be careful about the goals we concede in the first few minutes of the games; no lapse in concentration will be accepted.
Right, there’s not much for today except the excitement. We have beaten them in both of our games last season, and I hope we do the third on them today. Convincingly.
I will see you during the match.

Yellow card for Ben White wasting time at a throw in on the 40th minute. He’ll get a red one soon…
KP-agreed, as he’s shown more directness in one half than we’ve seen thus far this season…so much so that some are hestitating to provide service to him as they’re likely caught off-guard by the notion of making forward runs in and around the box…Eddie and Havertz are still proving themselves to be ill-equipped in the final third and Tomi has been bang average at RCB…that said, not a bad watch and I’m pleased to see some fresher blood on the pitch
Two Chelsea slags playing for Arsenal.
And the slag who fucked up against them scumbags Sunday is rewarded with the captaincy.
Way to go, Tets, you absolute cunt.
Smith Rowe should lump Arteta if Havertz is selected over him again.
Ramsdale certainly isn’t helping his cause with his sloppy play with the ball at his feet today
does Eddie wear steel-toed cleats?
Is Havertz keeps this up he’ll start entering the Pepe debate? at least the latter providing something tangible in the final third at times
I’ve never seen a team look to counter with numbers then just stop on a dime and pass backwards, which invariably allows the defence to reorganize…as a result we’ve provided Brentford with loads of confidence because they don’t fear our ability to punish them on the counter
I feel for the Sagoe kid, as he looked to have something on offer early on then all of a sudden everything was directed away from him until his subbing off
there’s no way Havertz was looking for Nelson…even so, he’s got to finish those chances off
regardless of the outcome, I must say we’re a rather underwhelming outfit nowadays
Elneny AND Cedric on the pitch. Fucking hell!
Every time I see Eddie lose possession, it makes me think he needs to take much more care of the ball. His first touch is really erratic. Good win against a strong Brentford team.
Elneny AND Cedric on the pitch. Fucking hell!
Have you not heard, the cunt is a football visionary?
Every young player should leave and get out while they can.
If these geriatrics are getting games over them.
Runnarson in goal for Cardiff tonight up at Blackburn. They lost 5-2…..
KP-my deepest condolences, as you can’t seem to escape MA’s piss-poor recruitment practices
Away to the Hammers in the next round. Good cup tie material. Could be worse.
Hi Tony
That new series called ‘Encounters’ on Netflix about so-called mass UFO sightings kin the 70s?) is actually set in the village I live in in West Wales. What a claim to fame eh?
I’d like to say that the conspiracy theorist, glue-sniffing, attention seeking, bullshitting twats are fewer on the ground than they were at the time but I’d be lying.
That said, I’ve put a tin foil hat on and I’m making a volcano out of mashed potato just in case. Energise!
KP
I’ll check that out would be good to see your neck of the woods.
.
Needless to say I didn’t see the game and was hoping ESR would do something to lay claim to #8, but sadly nothing of real note that would be reported on from the press.
.
West Ham will be going for it as it’s one of the trophies that Moyes can challenge for that and tin pot Euro cups that Arteta doesn’t have by the way or Wenger for that matter. Let that sink in.
.
TRVL
That’s exactly when we do. It’s the quick quick slow slow approach with side and back passes in the slow parts.
.
I’ve been deep diving into cars this week where in Thailand you pay a luxury tax and have far less choice when configuring a car than you have in the west. To put that into real terms; for a fully loaded Range Rover Autobiography except it only comes with the less powerful 4 liter version, but you pay for the 5 liter version anyway, you pay double of the UK with the 5 liter engine.
.
For the lesser choice than the west’s Autobiography Thai’s price you could also buy an Aston Martin Vantage fully loaded in the UK; thus having the 2 cars for the one Thai car’s price.
.
The only compensation is that the Thai’s have to pay the same tax.
.
The Mustang doesn’t have the Mach 1 to buy. Every car brand is the same and is why I don’t own a personal car only from our company.
.
It’s heart breaking if you, like I do, you love cars and can buy any car in the world that is suitable for the Thai roads and pay £300k for a car that costs £150k in the uk and half the choice for options and extras.
.
Not for me and I would imagine many here of any nationality. At least with a Mustang 5 liter or C08/Z06 Corvette your losses would be less because the cars offer more of the West’s choices here.
.
When it comes to buying cars here, there is always trouble in paradise.

Hi Tony
I think ESR and Nelson emerged with some credit last night, plus the back 4 and Ramsdale. They did enough collectively to beat a strong group (Swarm? Hive?) of Bees.
Choosing a car here can be tricky enough but I wouldn’t fancy doing it in Thailand let alone actually driving. I remember the wide streets of BKK being fucking gridlocked at almost any time of the day. I never got over the fun of sitting in tuk-tuks and being a pillion passenger on the back of bikes, the latter were better in those insane traffic jams as long as it wasn’t raining. If I had to own something there, I’d go for one of those used Japanese fully air conditioned 6 seaters with a satellite telly in in case I missed the start of an Arsenal game. Oh, and a fridge for coping with traffic. 🍺
We try to keep different cars for different occasions. A ford galaxy for moving stuff and kids around, a cheap to run peugeot (70 mpg! ) for longer trips, ie northern football stadia, and my pride and joy was a 20 year old Saab convertible for the summer til it became too old to keep. Keep your money until someone invents a jet pack!
KP
Saab convertible now there’s a car of iconic magical shapes so ahead of its time. We have an Escalade that our daughter has conveniently borrowed and taken down to BKK. That was our family pool car. Mrs T has the obligatory Mercedes company car and poor me has to be chauffeured for lack of a vehicle.
.
I’m in no rush and may wait until the BKK car show next March. Mind you if you were thinking of something cool for when you move to Spain, then check out the Range Rover Autobiography. Expensive, but a 3 year old low milage with service history would be a beaut of a car to travel round the coast and up to Madrid in. Would make you a proper Englishman in Spain.
.
Back to football I was happy for Nelson bagging the winner, shows better form than Eddie, and hope ESR gets more starts as he’s a play that needs a few games to find his form. I still feel ESR has more to offer than Vieira and Havertz when he’s in full confident mode as we witnessed when ESR saved Arteta from being fired.
.
I want us to stay in all competitions, so our bench and youth get the chance they’ve been denied for far too long.
