Jesus’ worries, Martinelli shines, much love to Ben White

Before anything, let us send some love to Ben White, who had to leave England World Cup squad for personal reasons.

There is some good and bad news coming from Brazilian side of the World Cup football. Martinelli showed his worth against Cameroon and had a very good game at the left coming close to scoring twice, saved eventually. He is such a threat to the defenders, I always get a CR7 vibes in him; he is probably one of the worst players to play against for any defender. Saying this when he is playing on the grandest stage of football means something.

Coming to the bad news, Gabriel Jesus picked an injury and will probably be out till January. That means he is going to miss some games for us, when we are fighting for the league. Time for Eddie Nketiah to show up, but this might tempt Edu and Arteta to go for a CF in the January window. We needed that fund for the midfield where we need a proper competition for Thomas Partey. I would personally prefer strengthening midfield and waiting for Jesus while Eddie fills up the spot. I have always wanted to see Martinelli in the CF role but I guess we will never know.

In other news, World Cup is getting exciting now. Germany, Mexico, Belgium, Uruguay are out. Such a shame with Belgium, even with so much talents they can’t get through the group stage. Same with Germany, I guess they need a reboot like Arsenal.

Good to see Japan qualifying for round of 16, kudos to Tomiyasu. England is doing great, finishing top of the group with some brilliant games. USA qualified too which will keep Turner busy.

Right, short one today. Apologies for missing for last two weeks, been busy a bit in my own marriage lol. I will take another week off, need some sun somewhere on the beach.

Hope you are doing well, have a good evening!

    Lads
Ronaldo crying tears of onset middle age bitterness walking down the tunnel. Couldn’t happen to a bigger twat. Might be the last time we see him playing serious football.

  2. Ambarish K

Yep, it’s over. As much as I know France or England are favourites, but Messi has my support now.

  3. Ambarish K

Ronaldo was just posing for the pic. It’s viral on Twitter already!

  4. I thought Ronaldo was pathetic crying in the tunnel. Ronaldo is just another Wenger narcissistic type destroying his legacy.

Kudos to Morocco for their heroic stance against Portugal.

I see France beating England and Southgate in particular. That said this WC has been full of surprises.

Mbappe v Maguire should be fun to watch.

Enjoy the game lads too late for me.

I can bring you exclusive news – the Premier League are going to offer tonight’s ref a huge contract to become the first overseas ref to be brought into the PL.

A Premier League spokesman said “we couldn’t let such an opportunity pass us by – we never thought we’d ever come across a ref who was an even bigger cunt than Mike Dean”.

That’s what you get for letting Spuds take crucial penalties. They’re hard-wired to blow it and lose. Maximum Spursy-ness.

Fair play though Marc. Ref has been shockingly bad. I hope we see lisping ‘Arry cry.

‘Arry is sad… Oh dear. 56 years and counting.

Didn’t you know it only is coming home in decade intervals 20, 40 so next will be 2026 60years ago.

    Hi Killroy
I doubt it mate, although Saka, Bellingham, Foden and ESR all look like major stars of the future. For actual silverware, I think Ingerland’s best chances lie with the youth and women’s teams (which at least suggests that English football is getting it right in terms of diversity and widening the appeal of football).

I’m looking forward to my next Cardiff game against an English club (all their games are such except when they play Swansea). Instead of singing ‘its coming home’ substitute the words ‘they fucked it up’. Works like a charm.

Has there been any real certainty about Jesus’s injury and when he’ll be back?

  12. Anyone seriously thinking England we’re going to beat France were blazingly deluded. Can someone remind me why we sold Geroud to the Chavs?

Don is getting his arse handed on a plate at LG Marko delivering the killer stab to his feeble heart. That’s really funny since the troglodyte has been doing his King George and for England bleating since what seems like forever. It’s all Southgate’s fault he cries, but I didn’t see Gareth on the pitch, did I miss something?

I’m-never-wrong Don was well er completely 24 carat wrong. Another one in need of psych babble to sooth his loss of sageness.

Mbappe v Messi in the final where Messi lofts the trophy and CR7 was last seen drowning in his own tears. Man-child has tear ducts dams are jealous of.

We only lost Jesus which it seems a lot of people are doing these days the faith isn’t what it was, which is as good for the catholic choirboys as tasers were when they first reached the UK shores. Shocking for the priests I believe. 50,000 volts in the testes never ends well.

I digest, my apologies 15 days to having proper football back and our summit assault and fighting off pretenders to our PL throne. K’P give us your best Churchillian onwards and onwards as we’re already up there.

At least England didn’t embarrass themselves further and go out on penalties.

Mbappe vs Messi for the final with Messi lining the WC trophy while CR7 throws more tantrums and tears.

The sooner it’s over we can get back to proper football like hanging on to the PL summit

I’m wondering whether we might be about to see a repeat of the 2018 final. It would be almost fitting to see Messi lift it though, we’re coming to the end of an era of one of the most gifted footballers we’ll ever see.

    Kroenke

Jesus has had surgery for a medial ligament injury – talk of him being out from 7-8 weeks to 3 months.

    On Le Potage
Bleating because Ben White the protégée of alpha dog Arteta has been sent home and funnily gives the apt reason, namely White not watching videos of his opponents as prescribed so he understands their weakness .
There , the reason on a platter, still …the diatribe against Steve Holland and Southgate.
Surely when the soul gets sold , the rest is also prostituted !

    Welcome S Asoa!

Thanks Tony, for the little help.

I was traveling back to my hometown last night and missed the England v France. Of all the people, Harry Kane missing penalty was surprising, I would have prefered English over French.

Anyway, I’m neutral now so it would be nicer to see Messi lift it. Much like Sachin did a decade back in Cricket. Some legacies deserves it.

  18. Marc

So a manager who outs players for his “non negotiables” spent £50 million on a CB who has been displaced by a kid (who was already on our books) after one season and has now been sent home from the World Cup quad for being unprofessional.

Never mind at least we still have Xhaka as first name on the team sheet and have no need for money to strengthen in CM.

  19. Ambarish K

I take back my ‘much love’ of it was a disciplinary thing. Spending 50m on a CB when we had Saliba and Holding as a back up was a poor decision. Fortunately Kroenke were open to spend more, or we would have been short in places.

When the “personal reasons” story was put out there everyone assumed it was something to do with his family. I can understand Southgate not wanting to turn the whole thing into a circus.

The question it raises is why would White act like this on international duty and not at club level – there are a couple of possibilities none of them good.
