The cover photo is the first picture I took when I visited Emirates 3 years back against Burnley. Dani Ceballos played brilliantly that day, I was saving this for the big day!
We are almost there for the biggest game of this season. It’s going to be even sweeter if we win today and retain our ‘top of the league’ position against Conte’s side.
Line up is out and we have Partey and Zinchenko back in playing XI. That’s good news for us, we need Partey’s brilliance in the midfield and Zinchenko’s link up with Martinelli.
Arteta has specifically asked the supporters to UP the game in stadium. If you are reading this while in the queue at Emirates, make sure to return back after the game with a sore throat. This is what he had to say for the Derby.
“I can’t wait to see the atmosphere, I am so excited about it. We experienced an incredible game and atmosphere last time we played them at home and I encourage everyone to do the same.”

Odegaard talked about his first goal against Spu*s at Emirates, he didn’t really like the empty stadium at that time but go on lad, score one today and you will see how much you are loved in North London. Gabriel Jesus is playing his first North London Derby and he is as excited as anyone else.
I should appreciate Mikel’s attempt to rebuild the culture at club. The excitements are at all time high, fans are loudest and we, fans, are buzzing before every game. The negativity of last two seasons has gone a bit (at least for me) and we can all see the players are buying it now. Everyone wants to prove a point and contribute in Arsenal win.
Talk about proving a point and you can’t ignore Martinelli. At the age of 21, he is a starter for one of the biggest club in the world, in one of the toughest leagues. He is a machine, he never tires and you leave him unattended for a minute and he will make you regret.
Hear me out, Martinelli and Jesus are better than Son and Kane. Fu*k the Spu*s, all of them.
About time now, only some 30 minutes left for the game. Enjoy it from whichever part of the world you are from, lets beat them 4-0 today and show who owns the London!
P.S. – Thank you for all your support, LiR is approved for Google News now (I might have to stop cussing now, lol). It couldn’t have been possible without you.
It’s Partey time.. What a day he chose to land one of those rockets on target.
Half time. 1 all. I’m sticking with 3 1 win but it’s such a pity we didn’t hold the lead for longer and force them out of their defensive shape. An injury or two would really weaken spuds, their bench is so shallow. Fingers crossed we have a mistake free half.
We just lost confidence after the equalizer and half time couldn’t come soon enough for us.
I’d look at early subs with Marquinhos for Saka and Viera for ode or Xhaka if we still look rattled.
Here’s the second. Jesus celebrating in TH14 style.

That was a Penalty.
If we hold out now til 20 mins to go they have to push on and we’ll get another. If….
Siting in an empty Cardiff stadium watching feeds cos theres no telly. 2 – 1. Come on you rip roaring reds.
Royal off? That’ll do nicely. C’mon Arsenal.
Keep posting stuff lads. I’m seeing nothing of course.
Xhak-xhak-xhak… Xhaka can! Cue Afrika Bambaata and Shaka Khan on the turntable Tony. Big night tonight.
Would like to see a load more goals raining in.
Great result, the season can still become whatever we want it to be. This team is the best since cesc,rvp,rosicky(2011 ish) but ultimately they didn’t win anything. Would love to see this group go one step further and win major honours. Not there yet by any means but getting closer. It’s great to be in a position that man city’s results are actually relevant to us. Long may it last.
Great 2nd half and well deserved 3 points playing good football.
Still areas to improve and sitting on the top of the table. Doesn’t really get much better at this stage. Though there’s still a long way to go, optimism going forward is merited where it looks the club is moving in the right collective direction.
Xhak-xhak-xhak… Xhaka can lmao
Xhaka hero and villain as only Xhaka can be. Was partly involved for their pen with Gabs and then his well scuffed goal. Was concerned before half time when we looked ragged but whatever hocus focus Mikel performed at half time, spuds had no answer for and were 2nd best all over the park.
A truly happy day for us. Now if Paddy can oblige and rip the Chavs a new one and Brighton can at least hold L’pool the day will be complete.
K’phobe a good mate of mine is a Practical Engineer and is the guy sent for in emergencies when rigs stop. He’s got a nice little surround system for his condo I’ll post the details in the week.
He’s Scottish like me, but the economical one type, unlike me. 🙂 He’s about to retire so will build his own audio visual room.
Didn’t know you were Scottish Tony, always presumed you were English, don’t know why now that I think about it. Looks like both Palace and Brighton are determined to help us out. Watching the Anfield game and 2 nil really flatters Liverpool. Our old mate Danny missed a sitter.
Aye I was born in Edinburgh, but ended up in London’s east end soon after so lived most my young life in England. Junior wants to go to Edinburgh Uni so he can play all the golf courses in Scotland.
He wouldn’t be alone there, what a beautiful part of the world. Have been to Edinburgh a dozen times now, never fails to captivate. Hope he gets his wish.
I heard Coca Cola is partnering with Tottenham Hotspur…coz apparently both are good in ‘bottling’.
I’m sorry 😅
Cardiff headed an equaliser against Burnley in the 90th minute. Your man Robinson doing the damage Almunia. Championship version of Burnley even worse than their PL guise last year.
Really poor game but Arsenal winning is the main thing. The table looks very pleasing.
Yeah,I don’t think ‘kompany ball’ is taking the championship, or even the Burnley fans, by storm. I like Robinson, should make a difference for Cardiff.
Was looking for the snooker on itv 4 and found a rerun of the ’87 cup final. That was probably as big a shock as Wimbledon the following year. Spuds had clemence, mabbut, hoddle, waddle, ardiles and an on fire Clive Allen. Coventry had big Oggie in goal, kilcline in defence and Cyril Regis up front. The crazy gang were a lot better in fairness. Hope no spuds fans made the same mistake as I did,day was depressing enough for them.
With the spuds put away, the city game moved and Liverpool stuttering this month might not be the nightmare it seemed on first imaginings. Martinelli is the player who excites me most, just how high is his ceiling??

Just move on up is appropriate for our current trajectory.
Long may the happy days continue and Mikel continually improving.

Continuing with the music happiness another appropriate song.
People get ready the Arsenal are coming
Walking over all in front of them
Always keeping them scoring less than us
So we faithful keep signing all the way to the top.
Ah Tony
Curtis Mayfield – delightful.
I was a Molyneux last season and loved it when Wolves fans burst into song with their version of Hi Ho silver lining. Junior was amazed that I knew the words!
I know it’s later in the day where you are but it feels good to wake up knowing there’s a bit of fun and relaxation to be had watching les mancs tear each other apart later. A draw (followed by an insane high scoring game from Elland) will be just the ticket.
Whisper it but I think other teams and fans might just be starting to worry about playing Arsenal these days.
Almunia – That 87 defeat was almost as sweet as if we’d done it. Keith Houchen and that diving header. One of my mates was at university at Warwick (and lived in Cov). He had this Alan Sugar-esque (hope you know who AS is – he’s a money grubbing spurs supporting bastard of the highest order) wheeze of selling dark and light blue ribbons for Cov fans to tie on their car’s wire aerials (remember them? Always got snapped off at football grounds if you parked too close). Well he made a pile of cash which added to the pleasure of Spurs losing.
I’m thinking of driving up to Wigan for another dose of bluebird mediocrity next Saturday. I think I need help.
Almunia
We’re becoming master prognosticators aren’t we? You got the score, I got the red card. I think I went for 2 nil because I just couldn’t countenance another fucking Kane penalty. I should’ve known better.
Watching Manure, it seems unreal that they beat us.
I’d characterise this game as: sports washing oil kleptocracy team whose fans used to come from Manchester and are now the top ticket in football less countries in the middle East vs a poorly run, over resourced rag tag of a squad that never had local fans and are now only admired in SW Asia and the stock broker belt in the English Home counties. They deserve each other. At least the bin dippers represent. 4 nil before h-t. It’d be fun if they scored another 4.
Ferguson looks like he’s popped too many tramadol /temazepam pills. Fans leaving already – oh dear!
Haaland is NOT human.
What a great humiliation for Fergie and Manure. Goes without saying City is the team to beat this season. L’pool are off their stride and a great time to play them next Sunday. I fancy us getting points from that game, and it’s a fair shout to getting 3 points is a chance. VVD is struggling this season and TA isn’t playing well either.
Very happy with the way things are progressing and just hoping we buy a quality, mobile, 2 footed CM.
