Thanks to the penalty, in an otherwise lackluster performance from us, in the first leg for keeping us in the tie. At home, against Leverkusen, all we have to do is to score first and Leverkusen would have no chance to penetrate our defence.
But, would I love a 1-0 to Arsenal? Fucking no. I expect us to go there and play some attacking shite, score 3 goals and go into the quarters with some confidence. Parking the bus after 1-0 may help us today but we would be playing the likes of Madrid or PSG if we move ahead and that game plan isn’t gonna work.
Am I sounding too positive in assuming that we are going to win? Maybe!

Playing XI is out. Raya starts in the goal, Ben White is back in place of Timber, Saliba, Gabriel and Hincapie keeps their places. Not sure how serious Jurrien’s injury is, but hopefully he will be back with the team.
Mikel is a stubborn cunt so he starts both Rice and Zubimendi in the midfield along with Eze. Gyokeres start up top, with Saka and Trossard on the wings.
Looks like a decent line up. The only change couple have been Saka in the midfield and Madueke starting on the right wing but otherwise I am happy to see Gyokeres getting a start ahead of Jesus and Havertz.

Some very interesting games today apart from ours. Chelsea v PSG (2-5) and City v Madrid (0-3) will see two of the contenders out of the league by the time our game is over.
I will keep it short today, see you during the game.
Cheers

We’re into a run now where every match is effectively a cup final with one actual cup final. I’d usually say that City going out tonight would give them a small edge in the PL but they’ve been so poor lately it’d take a collapse or Artetaen proportions to cock the league up now.
I’ve been trying to figure out why City look like they’ve basically switched off for a few weeks but had completely forgot about the impending ruling on their financial dealings.
Is it possible that as a club they’re expecting a massive points reduction making the title race an irrelevance and the players know it.
We have been looking positive so far.
Marc
City will not be penalised. Rules only applies to Forests and Evertons of Premier League.
Brilliant attempt from Trossard and a great stop from Leverkusen GK.
Really harsh free kick.
If that was given against us everyone would go mad.
Ambarish
There’s a lot of talk going round about a 50 or 60 point deduction for City and I don’t mean in the local pub or Wicksy’s dreams.
PSG look like they’re getting into gear.
Conceding 7 even over two legs is seriously embarrassing.
nice defensive play by Hip, especially knowing that Grimaldo has scored 10 times in all competitions, which is a pretty good tally for a LB
Another great save off Trossard’s shot.
How the fuck did he save that.
We should have been 3-0 up with a bit of luck… Nervousness kicking in for me now.
Tross should have potted one of his chances
Hincapie is a no nonsense player. We have another Gabriel in defence who is a bit better going forward.
3rd miss from Trossard.
This is either going to be a when the dam cracks it’ll be a flood or we’re going to regret not taking one of these chances.
Pick that out.
that’s why we signed Eze
I’d like to know how fast that was moving.
What a gooooooal.. eze you legend..
When the team plan doesn’t work. Another individual brilliance like that would win you games. Plus I don’t think Odegaard has got goals like this..
That cunt Silva got a red and Madrid are 1-0 up. Pep would be scratching his face again today. Sweet.. and Chelsea down 2-0 at home.
We just need a hattrick from Eze and we couldn’t be any more happier today.
Lever are struggling to find the right balance between defending deep and counterattacking, unlike last week…of course, the fact that we’re being more aggressive in attack.has something to do with their struggles…Garcia is their weak link today
