Well, better late than never. It’s a London Derby, two of the clubs which are in mess in their own ways are playing in next 15 min.
It’s an interesting line up from Arsenal. Arteta was positive about Tomi in yesterday’s press conference but he is not even on bench. It’s a good decision in my opinion, even if he is ‘almost’ fit, it’s not a good idea to bring him to play against Chelsea in a crucial match. Do not repeat ‘Partey-incident’.
Elneny comes in for Lokonga. I don’t know what to make of it, he has hardly got any game time and Lokonga hasn’t been any good either. Lets just hope Mo delivers a Partey-esque performance!
Biggest change is in the defence, Rob Holding is back and Cedric gets to sit on bench, who had a very poor last game.
Emile Smith Rowe starts in place of Martinelli. Fair enough, Martinelli is out of form recently and we got to give our highest scorer of the season some game time. We also need Odegaard to be back in form.
Chelsea are in a mess. They have some world class players who can beat any team on their day. One thing they will not going to do is to sit back and let us have the ball. We have lost 3 consecutive games against bottom half teams, lose this one and it would mean spu*ds will be 3 points ahead with equal games played and have a better goal difference. Or in short, top 4 becomes almost impossible.
Right, will keep it a short one for today – hardly 15min to go now. I shouldn’t leave things for the evening and then forget it completely.
#COYG – lets show them that London is red.
Mb,
The lokonga v Elneny situation is reflective of the squad building that the club has done. Once you scratch beneath the surface we have the depth and quality of a middle tier team.
My arse is already squeaking so badly, it’s sending feedback to my hearing aid…
Has there ever been a worse value for money striking partnership than Werner and Lukaku? Anywhere?
Why even to look for depth when we have Xhaka in playing XI 😅
Anyways, it looks like we are showing up for the game. Good save though from Gabriel. And Lukaku being Lukaku.
Lukaku is the Pepe of Chelsea.. 😅
Little Eddie Unket!
Eddie calling. What a goal. Laca must be taking notes.
The fuck..
Eddie, Xhaka and Ramsdale all shite at the same time.
Fucking error prone little Eddie Unket!
Unfortunate, but should still have been saved.
Playground football tonight. We might just shade it. C’MON!
Hale enders showing who is the boss. Lets put 2 more..
Keystone cops do football. All about the result, hold on to fuck this time.
How can White lose that ball? FFS this is not good for my heart.
Ben White keeps diving to try and win free kicks. He’s done it 3 times in the last few weeks that I can remember. Tavares went down like he was shot earlier. It’s not something I like to see Arsenal players doing consistently.
Check out lego head’s ironic facial gestures…the fourth ref must be shitting himself
This could end up with any scoreline imaginable.
Looks to me that squad watched Guen’s performance against Neymar & PSG and want to imitate him. Looks like the Ref got Eddie’s ticket of trying to dive.
Chelski there for the taking though. Aside from Mount and azpilicueta they have been really poor. Werner hassles but as a striker he’s very poor.
Thiago Silva coming in place of joker Christensen.
That’s a pity,Christensen had at least one more mistake in him. We’re really fucked if they take off Lukaku….
I’m gonna stop myself talking about it and not jinx it anymore.
Little Eddie Unket – the affair is back on! I forgive him his earlier sins. ✝️
Albatross Lukaku is out.
Must say Tuchel has an eye to see deficiencies snd course correct

Aged well.
Unbelievable. That’s the old “we’re due one” argument coming to fruition. Lot of luck but it’s all about results now. There was a guy playing left back for Chelsea,Sara. The worst 90 mins I ever saw from a professional footballer, should have been sent off but we didn’t suffer thankfully.
Pleasing. If we can win there, we have a strong chance against manure and spuds. Big confidence boost. Makes the CP, Brighton and Southampton setbacks all the more puzzling.
# Sarr although Sara probably more fitting!
Almunia
Agree about Sarr. That was a clear second yellow no? K’phobe junior thought not but he’s a gobshite!
At Stamford bridge, only the fans in Red and White were left; applauding the winners, hale enders scoring 4 – in a well fought game.
Saka at the end felt like.he was enjoying the audience, damn well proud of you boy..
I’d simplify it by saying that when a team set up to defend against us we can’t score, but if they come onto us we are good on the break. However if they come on to us and have excellent quality they can rip us a new one!
Twas a definite second yellow Kroenkephobe, tell junior to get s pair of Arsenal goggles. Pedro is selling them but they have a picture of Arteta on them.
Almunia
Can we keep the train on the tracks on Saturday lunchtime? We’ll have to defend far more decisively and improve the passing quality. I’m possibly suffering post-match giddy euphoria but I’d put Eddie AND Martinelli in my starting XI to really put the shits up Maguire and Co. Build a good enough lead to defend.
Kroenkephobe,
It’s Arsenal,so anything is possible and we don’t do well as favourites, but if I could pick any team in the top half of the premiership to play on Saturday it would be utd. They are rancid at the moment.
Love the sanctions against RA as Chelsea was prohibited to sell out the stadium, and since no such sanctions against Arsenal the away crowd support was superb in drowning out the Chavs.
Killroy
There seemed to be swathes of empty seats at pitch level didn’t there. I didn’t see any higher camera shots. As is usually the case, Arsenal away fans are brilliant and must help lift the team. Nothing more than a win do on Saturday. As Almunia says, we have no need to be in awe of Manure. They’re a shadow of their former selves, currently on a downwards trajectory. Big test for Tets: he needs to maintain that level of commitment and confidence among the players.
Still trying to digest what happened last night. Minuses for me were that Ramsdale has continued his poor form. We only really created one of our goals, the other 3 were calamitous Chelsea defending. We continue to look porous defensively, White is never going to justify his price tag. It seems the ayers are being coached to influence refs( some might see this as a good thing,I’m just old fashioned on that).
On the plus side,Holding was solid again,Elneny has given real hope that he can fill that gap for the all important 6 remaining games. Likewise Eddie was impressive in both his finishing and his work rate. ESR reminded us of his class. And Saka was immense. Xhaka even played well but a man at his peak who plays a good game once in a while shouldn’t be at Arsenal imo. Too much water under that bridge.
We should have more than enough for utd on Sat.
Kroenke defeats Abtamovich. At least the good guy won right? Even that depressing anippet cannot take the gloss off of last night’s result.
Some interesting below the line commentary on the game last night. Lots of Chelsea fans feeling positive about the result because it hampers Spurs’s euro hopes. Striking isn’t it how all the other major London clubs see the cockerel jockeys as their bete noire including the hammers now they no longer play Millwall. All is good in the world!
Just looked at the table (as one does) and we’d’ve been in clover if those three defeats had been wins. 4 points clear of Chelsea ffs. What’s the recipe for beating manure? IMHO fast mobile forwards and matching or exceeding their energy in midfield.
