Champions League Night, at Home. Beautiful.
We are playing Real Madrid at home in about 30 min in Champions League quarter finals. This is THE biggest game of the season, considering PL trophy is out of sight. Madrid is probably the toughest opponent you can get in Champions League over two legs. They will be 3-0 down on aggregate with 10 minutes on clock, and go on to win 4-3. With the likes of Mbappe, Rodrygo and Vinicious up front, and a midfield of Modric, Camavinga and Bellingham, they are one of the best attacking sides in the world and they have got a very good defence as well.
We, on the other hand, are going into the game with Merino as a CF. Jakub Kiwior in defence is another problem for me, as Gabriel M has picked up an injury and will be out for the rest of the season. We have a 17 year old at LB and a new CB partnership. That’s a bit concerning but you know, going into a game as under-dogs has it’s own benefits. The good thing is, Madrid will play an attacking game and we have been relatively good against the likes of Liverpool and City who tries to play their way. It’s the low blocks we suffer against.
And we are at home, so the crowd will be behind us. Boys have dreamt of this, to play against the best teams in the world, at the grandest stage, and I’m sure they are going to prove today that they deserve to be here. I don’t care about the second leg, we win today with 2 goal margin and we can play with 6 defenders in the away game.
Talking about the strategy Mikel would have put up …. well I don’t care. Lets go, play our game with freedom, give our 100% and see where it ends.
A very short one today, but I will be alive during the game today.

we should be attacking Camavinga all day
Give it a penalty for fuck sake
MLS teaching that old fart some football.
I don’t think we’ll see the best Real side until Ancelotti is gone…not because he’s a bad manager, as his resume speak for itself, but having Mbappe arrive at this juncture of his tenure put him in an awkward position…he knows there’s always a short leash at Real, so he’s had little to no leverage when it came to reigning in the personalities on this side…I would suspect that whoever comes in next will have the kind of overriding mandate that will enable him to correct some of the squad-related nonsense
that was never a penalty…it was even shocking that it was looked at for so long
Acensio is the reason why we’ll be able to re-up Saliba
once again Junior’s abject selfishness aids our cause
based on the match so far there should be some goals in this one…the last time we saw so much space in the opponent’s end we were playing PSV
MLS – the best player so far on the pitch.
Raya saved one!
Mbappe underperforming again long may it last.
This ref is just ignoring any fouls to Arsenal, commentators saying lets not disturb the momentum. Vini Jr then goes down without any reason, and suddenly it’s a foul!
If you can’t score from the Bukayo’s ball, you don’t deserve to be on the pitch. FFS get Merino off and get me KT up top.
he didn’t save one, that was a horrible shot by Mbappe…Real can make opposing sides look good then somehow end up winning 3-0, which is why it’s so crucial that Real has cocked up their chances so far…fuck me, if we had a real Striker we should have potted two goals on two Saka right foot crosses into the box
Our defense has been quite nervy. We are firing quite well with our attacks, but we lack bite at the end up top with Moreno the way he is playing. I would much prefer Nwaneri playing striker for his game sense and pitch awareness, not to mention his goal-scoring capabilities.
Rice and Merino have no right playing up top. No awareness or pace to get to the tap in position.
Very poor by MA as per we should be 2 goals up by now
Ambarish Junior is trying to post
Can you get him out of moderation please mate
We were the better team for the first 45 and lucky Mbappe is off his game.
