It didn’t matter whether you are a red or blue or white. It didn’t matter what Jersey you prefer, whether you hold a season ticket or watch it on telly. It didn’t matter whether you are from West Ham or lives in other continent thousands of miles away, supporting a team you love.
ESL is done before it could start and it all comes down to you, the fans. I’m sure some of us liked the idea of Arsenal vs Bayern or Liverpool vs Real Madrid but any competition which is not meant on merit basis is shit. If you remove the competition from a sport, there’s nothing left.
An idea where top 15 teams gets a permanent seat forever is a fuck all idea. If you deserve it – fight for it and get your place. You then go on and win the trophy. If as an Arsenal fan, you were thinking the money we got could have allowed us to buy players like City and Chelsea do then you are wrong. In current state, we don’t deserve to be in Champions League, a bitter pill to swallow.
But we are building back. I have my doubts with some of the decisions Arteta makes, and with the club, but I’m sure we will do better in coming months and years, get among the Champions and even win it.
However long it takes, we will do the right way!
